The Halia at Botanic Gardens

The Halia at Singapore Botanic Gardens is the best restaurant in Singapore for me. Sunday is recommended. There will be jazz band performance. This performance makes just nice volume of sound. I find some restaurant band performance could be just a unpleasant noise if the music is not your favorite. Look at here, they are perfect! Maybe it is because of nicely open air and greens around there. Staff are all friendly and kind. Price wise is also just nice. Only one negative point... do not forget repellant against mosquito!

Truly great dining experience. The atmosphere is of course fantastic inside the Botanic Gardens. But the food as well as the service are at the same high level so while it's definitely not a cheap restaurant it was well worth the price for the occasion.

I'vw had the pleasure to dine at Halia on a number of occasions, and have enjoyed the experience each time. On this particular visit, my wife and I had a friend and visitor in from Hong Kong. Following our visit to the Botanic Garden we arrived at the restaurant for our appointed reservations and had a lovely dinner. While a bit warm out, we elected to sit outside to better take in the foliage and lovely surroundings. From start to finish it was an excellent meal, with efficient and pleasant service. I'm looking forward to our next visit.

The restaurant is definitely suitable for a romantic dinner. The customer service was great, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who is ever ready to not only serve, but serve with a smile. The food is great too with great attention to details especially to taste and presentation. A good place to have a quiet dinner with your loved ones.

Nice ambiance and great food quality at reasonable price. Highly recommend the Chili Crab Spaghetti (mildly spicy) and the Pork Loin served Chinese style in a bowl with rice (juicy but un-char and cleaner taste than roast pork). Service was excellent!

Interesting, beautifully plated and delicious food. We were seated outdoors on a cool evening so there was a nice ambiance. The staff were very attentive and prompt with personal service. Good for a special occasion or just for a night to chill with family and friends.

Great service, great food and memorable experiemce for my family as we celebrate my aunt's 70th birthday amidst lush greenery at the one of a kind Singapore Botanic Gardens!

It was a wonderful birthday celebration for my daughter. We brought our own designer's cake and came to the restaurant early. The staff was kind enough to keep the cake so we don't have to lug it around. Food wise, it is pretty decent quality (don't expect any Michelin Star and you're fine) but price is on the higher end but sort of within our expectation. Really like the halia mocktails especially the one with the ginger bulb as key ingredient. Well, Halia is part of the Raffles Hotel and that's where Singapore Sling was born. We are well attended to by the staff and services are prompt. Perhaps the one thing I don't quite appreciate is the use of the wooden plate and "chopping board" for serving and dinning as accommodating a few on the table is a challenge. Overall, quite impressed with the restaurant, the ambient. Highly recommended.

Nice Ambience and very good customer service. The staff actually address you by name. Food is nice. But some food ietms are abit pricey. Definitely will visit again.

Nice ambience, we ordered food which were the specialty of the restaurant, which were ginger infused or based, and was great. Wait staff, Zim, was pleasant, knowledgeable and has a good sense of humour, which complimented my trip there with my wife.

The food was fabulous. Staffs are helpful and friendly. In addition, its a cozy, natural and comfortable environment to dine in. Definitely will return again. :)

The service staff was great. It was my wife's birthday and they helped arranged candles and even used chocolate to write happy birthday on the plate they served the cake with. They did this inspite of me getting the cake from another place.

The food is extremely delicious, and the staff is very courteous. Was a great romantic dinner date with my other half.

The atmosphere is green and calming. The food was good, we had the kampong chicken and the their singapore chilli crab spaghetti (one of the house specialities). Both very tasty.. but the dessert, banana fritter style, which was also the house speciality, really let the rest of the meal down. I am always suspicious of a meal which is dressed up to look like what it is not - in this case, a garden. None of it really worked together, and each on its own was a little bland and boring. The staff were attentive. The wine prices were a little steep - prices for wine in restaurants appears to be going down, but not here. A vin ordinaire sav blah at $90 - I think it is time Singapore grew up and stopped pretending that the government taxes are responsible for this customer rip off. I would eat there again, and avoid the dessert. And probably the wine.

It was very disappointed lunch. The services was good but the food menu was not stunning. The presentation was casual and not special at all.

Great service from the waitress, especially May, who was attentive to our needs, checking on us to see if we are ok with the food and drinks..

excellent as always - food ambience and service . we went with some friends from Australia for lunch and they were so impressed. sometimes Monday lunches in restaurants are flat after the weekend - not the halia :)

The food was fantastic and beautifully presented even thought the servings were a tad Small. The staff were friendly and the service was superb. :) we had a great time!

Excellent service. Romantically dim lights but with casual friends might be rather too dim. Enjoyed the food and a wide ranging menu. Suggest to consider shared dishes if in a big group.

Overall a wonderful experience! The service was excellent! However a little bit disappointed with the change in menu. It was better under the previous management.

This is my second time at Halia.As expected,the food was great.my friend tried the Risotto,I tasted it and I think that needs lots of improvement.other that that all is fine and we have a great time.

The service is great. Greeted politely by waiters. Was there for a little birthday celebration for a friend. They had a birthday message written on the dessert plate. Food was great. Will be back to try others on the menu.

We were celebrating our anniversary and the service was fantastic, and food quality was not bad. Ambience was slightly noisy with kids in the dining room.

Lunch at the Halia consisted of a beautiful setting, delicious food and great service. Recommended to all as part of a visit to the Botanic Gardens.

Great service, atmosphere and value. I visited Sunday dinner. Jazz band was awesome. I had to wait my friend 1 hour, but never got bored because of that. I recommend to go walk around into Gazebo. It would be extremely romantic.

Lovely setting, fabulous fusion style menu, lovely staff and a great ambience, what more can you ask for eating in the gorgeous botanic gardens followed by a lovely walk home.... Excellent ( some lovely cocktails too)

An excellent oasis in the gardens with a spectacular view of the greenery. Coupled with professional yet friendly service and scrumptious yet affordable fare, it is truly a destination to be noted.

Amazing atmosphere. Some of the food was excellent, some so so. The service was extremly good, just have no idea why the waiter that welcomed us asked us for our names when later he never showed up again and had apparently forgotten them when we left. The place needs some new cuttlery and glasses.

Its a good romantic place for special occasion. Food's pretty good - fusion types of meal though menu a little short of choices. Nonetheless ideal place for romance.
