Thinking about making a Vatos Urban Tacos booking?
Vatos Urban Tacos is the brainchild of three Korean-American friends who grew up in Texas and South Carolina and lived on a diet of authentic Mexican cuisine, as well as the homely Korean dishes that their mothers would cook up. Naturally, this lead to the boys creating their own Korean-Mexican fusion cuisine, taking leftovers from the meal their mothers had cooked the night before – like bulgogi or spicy pork belly – and throwing them into a taco or tortilla. After feeling homesick for the taste of their childhood, Vatos Urban Tacos was born. Starting off as a single restaurant in Seoul and quickly blossoming into a chain, it’s now shaking up Singapore’s foodie scene, serving up Ko-Mex creations at Nicoll Highway.
Head on over to Vatos Urban Tacos stylish location on Beach Road and tuck into tacos filled with spicy chicken, Korean pork belly or chilli lime prawn, a quesadilla, burger or burrito bowl, or a special like the honey tequila chicken wings. The famous kimchi carnitas fries – seasoned french fries covered with braised pork carnitas, sauteed kimchi, melted cheese, sour cream, hot sauce and cilantro – are also a winner. Just remember to book a table at Singapore’s Vatos Urban Tacos in advance as spaces are know to fill up fast!
