The place is pretty nice and quiet. But the food is a little pricey. We prefer the dessert (Die Die Must Have Chocolate) more than the mains.

Very nice ambience, a restaurant in a heritage garden. Friendly staff and wholesome food. Strongly recommend the tiger prawn salad with their signature halia dressing.

Great food and ambience. Only minor flaw was the speed of service which could have been a little faster. The ginger dishes were unique and absolutely fantastic!

The indoor sitting area seems abit small and may not be able to cater more than 4 -5 tables. Food and service was quite decent.

Set lunch salad too oily, main course fish over cooked. Coffee very bitter burn taste. Disappointed overall. Ala carte vegetarian order was not served until several reminders and was informed the food was burnt, waited a long while.

We'd seen the good reviews and decided to try Halia for a family celebration. We weren't disappointed. We all tried something different and all the dishes were excellent.

Spectacular service, prompt and friendly staff. They assigned a 4 seater table eventhough there's only 2 of us and 2 seater tables are available. Delish lychee mojito.

Great location: wonderful atmosphere and attentive service. Ate off the set lunch menu which was fairly uninteresting, but pretty cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for!

The place is so enticing, you can get there by taxi quickly but strolling from the main gate down to the ginger garden where the restaurant is will let you appreciate the surroundings and give you more appetite. they have a wide range of entrée in the menu. Lamb, Beef, Fish and Chicken are few that I could mention. They have indoor and outdoor type of dining, of course you should go outdoor since its a restaurant in the garden. The people and staff are so accommodating. The waiting time for the food to be serve is just in the market depending on the food you ordered. they wide range of wines per glass or bottle, though for me it's a bit pricey. It's not a like Sheraton, Marina Bay Sands or Shangri-la but once you visit them, for sure you'll be back.

My honey had a most wonderful surprise birthday celebration. From the easy reservation to the call from Halia staff to confirm our arrival on the day of the event, it was all perfect. The place itself is beautiful. We were seated in the garden area and the ceiling fans made the evening cool and comfortable despite the heat and humidity of the day. The bartender introduced us to the different cocktails and mocktails they had and he assisted with our decision to order amazing drinks. We had the bruschetta with chili crab dip for staters and were even given extra bruschettas at no additional cost after devouring the first order. For the main meal, we ordered the 12 hour braised pork ribs and it was so good with the potato side. The staff even went so far as to arrange how the birthday dessert will be served with personalized greeting. My partner was really taken by surprise. We ended the evening with some nice drinks. It was truly a wonderful and magical night - my partner was so happy and we connected the whole time. For the price I paid, the place, the food, the drinks and the overall experience was so worth it!

Wonderful. From start to finish the food, service, ambience, hygiene and everything in between was 10/10. I expected to need to remortgage something but upon arrival of the bill it wasn't crazy and left feeling that its value for money is second to none. For recommend for most occasions except if you want to make noise. Don't ruin it for everyone else. Stay away bachelor parties and 21st birthdays. All others, enjoy!

We had a very nice table, giving almost the illusion, we were inside the botanical garden. The food was very natural and pleasant. Some items are a bit expensive . In total, it is needed to calculate 100 dollars per person once likes to have a starter, a main dish, a dessert and one drink. But the place and the food are very cosy and natural. I will go back. I enjoyed really my evening.

The food is delicious and the staff are very attentive but sufficiently aloof that you don't feel rushed. Ambiance could be a bit better - maybe better lighting/music or the tables could be better arranged.

The food was OK, but the whole ambience of the restaurant has changed since my last visit - it's now more like a good cafe than the fine dining restaurant it used to be. The decor is not particularly impressive, the menu less extensive and ye the prices don't seem to have dropped in line with these changes. I would go back, but no longer as a venue for a special celebration.

Gorgeous location in the Botanic Gardens, a wonderful and varied menu, and seriously fresh and delicious food. I'm not normally a huge dessert person, but they are definitely worth saving yourself for at Halia. A real favourite for a memorable meal.

They are familiar with the the menu and are able to give recommendations on the food. I celebrated my boyfriend's birthday in the restaurant and they were very enthusiastic to give him a good surprise. A very good experience overall!

The restaurant is definitely suitable for a romantic dinner. The customer service was great, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who is ever ready to not only serve, but serve with a smile. The food is great too with great attention to details especially to taste and presentation. A good place to have a quiet dinner with your loved ones.

The Halia at Singapore Botanic Gardens is the best restaurant in Singapore for me. Sunday is recommended. There will be jazz band performance. This performance makes just nice volume of sound. I find some restaurant band performance could be just a unpleasant noise if the music is not your favorite. Look at here, they are perfect! Maybe it is because of nicely open air and greens around there. Staff are all friendly and kind. Price wise is also just nice. Only one negative point... do not forget repellant against mosquito!

We enjoyed our dinner at The Halia. We were welcomed warmly and addressed by name throughout the evening - a nice touch. The food was tasty and well presented and the servers were friendly and efficient. The alfresco dining area had a nice ambience. We appreciated that the restaurant acknowledged my wife's birthday. We would recommend!

Every table seems to be getting the same food! Almost all table have the Chili Crab Spaghettini and Pork Ribs. We got the same food as everyone. The Chili Crab spaghetti is more chili than any other flavor. I've tried better chili crab sauce elsewhere. The Pork Ribs is definitely melt-in-your-mouth good though. For dessert, we got the Ginger Garden and I regret agreeing to share it. It's not much and I would like the whole plate for myself. The drinks are not bad but not great either. We got the Flower Fire Mocktail and Sangria.

I'vw had the pleasure to dine at Halia on a number of occasions, and have enjoyed the experience each time. On this particular visit, my wife and I had a friend and visitor in from Hong Kong. Following our visit to the Botanic Garden we arrived at the restaurant for our appointed reservations and had a lovely dinner. While a bit warm out, we elected to sit outside to better take in the foliage and lovely surroundings. From start to finish it was an excellent meal, with efficient and pleasant service. I'm looking forward to our next visit.

Truly great dining experience. The atmosphere is of course fantastic inside the Botanic Gardens. But the food as well as the service are at the same high level so while it's definitely not a cheap restaurant it was well worth the price for the occasion.
