Love the ambiance and service. Ordered an Escargots to share, a Le Confit de Canard and a Joue de Boeuf Braisee, paired with a red wine and a white wine. Beef was slightly salty but overall it was a really good meal. Will definitely come back again.

Cosy restaurant great for date nights and also intimate gatherings. Was there with three other friends and we agree that the food (even the bread) was fantastic. We will recommend the onion soup (love the cheese in it), beef cheek (great flavour) and cod fish dishes.

Slightly overseasoned food made up with big portions and great service. Great value for money and suitable atmosphere for casual work lunches. Desserts also saved the day.

Great food - love the onion soup, and the atmosphere. They held my place for me despite being late, and it was a pleasant surprise compared to other booking services.

The second time here in a month as the first visit impressed me with their steak, tuna steak and creme brulee. The second visit disappointed a little on the tuna as it was overcooked, almost cooked through. :( Beef steak was not as good as i remembered from first visit but was certainly still satisfying. Had positive reviews around the table for the appetizers and desserts. Will be back.

3 course Lunch set at $34++ offered very generous portion from entree to dessert! Staff were attentive, offering us second round of baguette without us asking (baguette was very nice too!) If you are a party of two, table next to window offering street view is recommended.

Food was awesome! Loved the beef cheeks and the duck leg confit. It would have been better if there were more soup options. Will definitely come back for more!

My hubby and I hosted dinner at Bistro du Vin with another couple friend and it was their first visit to Bistro du Vin. They love the food, ambiance and everything about the homey and quaint looking restaurant. The standard and quality of the food has remained consistently good over the years, with good value for money. Just slightly disappointed that my favourite dish, the beef cheek was no available. Overall excellent experience, highly recommended. Les Amis' high standard never disappoint. However, sometime it might be exciting to tantalize the palette of good old customers with a couple of new dishes as I believe the menu has remained unchanged for a long time. Do remember to make reservation in order not to be turned away on a weekend night though.

Cosy atmosphere with retro decor, suited for romantic first dates. Food was quite salty, but if you're ok with sodium, knock yourself out. Beef cheek stew and lamb shanks were stand out dishes.

Service staff were very good even though the bistro was full house. While waiting for my lunch companion, the Malay waitress took the initiative to serve me complimentary warm bread and water. We left the bistro at around 3.15pm, perhaps way past the service staff working hours. However, all the service staff was very patient and professional. When we left, there were possibly around 8-10 more patrons at the bistro.

Never a boring moment at Bistro Du Vin -- the freshness and culinary mastery of the dishes served here will leave you craving for more! Too bad our stomachs weren't stretchy enough or else we would have ordered even more to excite our tastebuds!

Atmosphere was good, portions were of decent size, and service was ok (a busy Friday evening). Food quality was generally fine save for the pork chop special. It was somewhat bland, despite the presence of onions. It seemed a waste of a good cut of pork - a little disappointing. Not as good a meal as I have had on previous occasions. Prices appear to have also increased slightly. On the whole, it was a satisfactory meal, and I'll be back.

Tarte tatin was just apples on puff pastry, not done the correct way. French onion soup was too light, and duck confit was on the dry side.

Good food. The french onion soup was flavourful and rich. The marrow could do with a bit more colour (roasted) but was otherwise acceptable. The braised beef was falling apart as it should be and the potato smash/puree was smooth and creamy. The creme brûlée was silky and rich. Excellent meal with good and attentive service.

It is as good as I last remembered. The Foie Gras were done to perfection and the beef cheeks were tender. It was amazing. Plus, "you can't go wrong with French wine." - that's what people usually say isn't it? The wine there is good and affordable. Definitely a bonus.

It was the first time my wife and I visited Bistro du Vin @ Shaw Centre. We were very impressed with the quality of food (we had the Escargots, French Onion Soup, Duck Confit, Braised Beef Cheeks and Crème Burlee), the cosy ambience and excellent service (the staff was there when you need them and give you the necessary privacy). Will definitely visit again.

Friendly and attentive staff. One of the staff remembers that my mom ordered warm water and he made sure he kept refiling it with warm water throughout our dinner. Food was awesome and the Warm Chocolate oohhh la la! Not too sweet, it was the right texture and taste.

Nice food and ambiance. The only criticism is that the tables are too close together. This means that if the people next to you are having loud conversations it can impact of the relaxed ambience of the restaurant.

This is 6th time I've visited bistro du vin at shaw. That's because they serve amazing food in a relaxed and wonderful environment with excellent staff. My personal favorite added touch is the freshly baked 'free flow' bread.

I love French Provincial food and Bistro du Vin gives you that touch which is better than the Bistros in Paris. Great atmosphere and service. I had the Christmas menu and the quail parcel was exquisite. The herb crusted venison was done to perfection and was v tender and full of flavour. Also want to commend Philippe Pau who came around and spoke to the guests. Use him more!! What a great guy he is.

The food quality was normal, service was good and attentive during non crowded lunch period (6 tables occupied). Hopefully during peak period service will be the same.
