Portions were good value for the prices. Food quality was good, and food tasted delicious. Relaxed and casual atmosphere and service was attentive and good.
Cosy vibes, food was ok but in my opinion I think it used to be better.
Beautiful cosy space with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and whimsical touches (the tongue-in-cheek labels on the water bottles, the road signs reading “thirsty square” in French) set the scene for a convivial evening. Philippe, your host, is jovial and open-hearted, treating each guest like a family member. The food, served by each member of staff with genuine pride, is utterly delicious- melt in the mouth steaks, robust pâté, crunchy farmhouse-style bread paired with creamy, salty butter… authentic, unpretentious, robust French cuisine. The wines (after all, this is Bistro du Vin!) pair perfectly with the food, and Philippe is on hand to offer advice if required, or stimulate the budding young sommelier in the family. Dessert should not be missed- masterful pairings of pastry, cakes, or poached fruits with rich sauces and ice-creams to balance out the decadence, leaving a satisfying fresh taste on the tongue. Finally, Philippe appears again, cheekily offering a little something to finish the meal- perfect!
Excellent food, superb wine , will be back thank you !
Great set lunch menu which changes based on seasons. Excellent service!
delicious french food and great ambiance ! in a nice neighborhood
Great food great service. Philip and team always made our visit memorable as a couple and family
Thank you to everyone there for the awesomely experience there. Brought my husband there for his birthday meal and he was so impressed with the food and service. Lots of thanks from us both.
The food is excellent and good value and the service is superb . Highly recommended
Yummy… food was fresh, great service, good recommendation on portion.
The manager was very attentive to customer's needs and friendly
Rustic and honest dinner with sufficient choice of the menu… A la carte as well as daily specials… Good bistro
Excellent food with generous portions, great service and friendly staff.
Excellent food and great service. Third visit with another one planned.
Not impressed by the last visit. It is becoming a bit inconsistent. Was impressed with the food and services in the first few visits. We only visit the restaurant for birthdays and anniversaries, about twice a year.
Had planned a surprise birthday family dinner for my husband. We loved the onion soup, mussels in curry and the main course; Steak Frites and 3 cheese ravioli did not disappoint. To round up the night with creme brûlée and apple tart was divine. Would revisit again
Service is from three wait staff could improve. They should not collect plates until all people at the table have finished eating and especially not while people are still chewing their food. Overall though great food as always, and the host Philippe makes the evening for everyone, as usual.
A really fantastic dining experience for all of us in the group. The service and ambience was warm and genuine and the food has authentically French bistro as you could hopeful. Highly recommended.
came here for my mum’s birthday. yummy food! appreciated the free flow salad & fries (emphasis on the fries) that came with the beef
Googled for French onion soup and this restaurant popped up. So gave it a try. The French onion soup did not disappoint :) The pork tenderloin was cooked perfectly to 90% done. The 2 desserts, creme brulee and plum tart, were delicious too. Will be back to try other dishes.
Good service and excellent food. Bistro Du Vin always delivers.
Service was not as attentive, could be due to the lunch crowd. But the staff was thoughtful towards my guest who had mobility issues. The food was consistent since i only ordered the same dishes, namely the French onion soup and duck confit. Overall a great experience.
Great as always! A bit of a mix up on dishes ordered but there was a change on our side which maybe made things more confusing.
Food wasn’t great, beef was cold. Nothing outstanding, would not go back
Jazz and latin music on alternate Mondays are a great bonus!
Fantastic real 'French' bistro experience. See you next time. Thanks
food was great. nice ambience and good location. Lunch set is a great value for money
Past by to have a quick meal. Took foie gras which is recommended
We had an absolutely fantastic evening. Food was excellent and the service was perfect in every way. Look forward to our next visit.
I usually get the duck confit and onions soup, both of which are enjoyable
nice restaurant with enjoyable food and good service, and value for money.
my go-to place for nice french food. enjoyed the steak and duck confit.
Très bon sauf pour le confit de canard qui était un peu trop cuit à mon goût
Good food excellent service. Noisy difficult to talk. Nb when u called this morning to reconfirm booking a number +65 901 something appeared on my phone. I normally block and delete all numbers starting w +65 all are scam. Maybe change yr routine there
Always superb! My wife did the three course menu and I elected to go ala-carte. Every course was brilliant. We asked Philippe to do the wine pairings for the courses & each of his selections made for a beautiful harmony between the wine and food. Service is a delight - never rushed yet there when you need assistance. Whenever we pass through Singapore our trip isn't complete until we've dined at Bistro Du Vin.
Food was good. Staffs are friendly. The ambiance was superb.
Food was excellent and we were very happy with the service provided. My friends and I will certainly return again!
Not our first time at the restaurant but this recent meal was much better than the past, which was already great.
Great food but the atmosphere is average Stuffed like sardines
Delighted to find Bistro du Vin still delivering top quality French bistro experience. I first visited 14 years ago when this first offspring of Leas Amis opened its doors on Scott’s walk. A treat then and now.
Phillipe the maitre de was excellent and tarte a pomme best ever
A cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great food. Reasonable prices. Merci.
impressive as always 😊 Thank you for the great food and service.
Good food, good service and good value. Will be back to try other mains.
Great experience, overall service was friendly and food was good…
Had a pleasant lunch with 2 friends. Food quality is acceptable. Distance between tables are abit near.
Overall a pleasant experience at Bistro Du Vin. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly & attentive, helping to refill our water whenever it’s running low. In terms of food quality, I have to say that it’s falling slightly short of my personal expectations as I went there with high expectation after reading the reviews; especially at the price point that they are charging.
One of your waiter accidentally broke a plate behind my friends table where we were sitting at and he did not even apologize to us at all luckily the broken pieces from the plate never fly n cut my friends. And when my friend were making payments the cashier did not gave her the receipt and she have to request for it then it was given to her. Very poor service n also your foods taste normal only nothing fantastic at all, sorry to said that.
I love the aroma of my Joseph Cattin Gewürztraminer Alsace Grand Cru white wine of tropical fruits and the long-lasting fresh finish taste. A good recommendation for my liking. We enjoyed all the food we ordered. We started with the delicate chewy Escargots and the cheese added richness and mouthfeel to the French Onion soups. We shared our mains, the Duck Confit and the Pork Belly Stew. I personally like the Pork Belly Stew a lot more. We all mentioned that it looked like a home cook dish when presented. We all loved the fact that all the ingredients looked so delicious when presented and they all melted in our mouths, especially the pork belly tasted really tender and flavorful...we ended with the signature Grand Marnier souffle that was like eating a cloud that melted in your mouth.
I love the ambience. I think it’s suitable for date night
