Monzen Izakaya and Grill

food is decent, but we found the grilled skewers to be pricy at 4-5 dollars a stick, normally Izakaya restaurants would go by quantity and have the customers order by the dozens. but we saw very few skewers served as well. i do appreciate however, the chef's intent of serving quality good but miss on the accompanying sauces that neither were salty or sweet... they were kinda bland. As a result, it was a little confusing experience for us, the food itself were done right but not tasty enough.

Made a reservation for lunch. There's no crowd, and service is fast. Food in general is nice. They have student deals that my son has ordered a butadon set meal. We've ordered a Tonkatsu lunch set with an add-on of salmon sashimi, seafood chawanmushi, and gyoza. A cold somen lunch set with add-on edamame. Ala-carte order of fried chicken skin (one of the best ever had) and aburi mental salmon roll. Other than the gyoza, which the skin is a little hard, the rest of the food is good.

overall the food & service are perfect but the half boil eggs too cold, pls make warm if any dishes come along, this my own feedback.

Jus went back to Izakaya. Tried their Japanese curry and wow it was absolutely delicious. Perfect blend of flavours! Can’t wait to go back.

First time coming to this restaurant. All is good. Good experience. Attentive staffs. Comfortable and spacious seatings.

We were allotted “VIP” seats in a corner with high chairs. The area is tight and difficult to move around. We ordered Tonkatsu Ramen and Tonkatsu with more rice. The ramen portion is quite small and the “more” rice portion for the tonkatsu seemed to be regular rice portion.

Service was excellent from start to end. Love especially their tamago & kushiyaki mid wings & goma ice cream.

The wagyu was excellent. The other food we order eg the sushi and sashimi was good. However, We are disappointed with the soya sauce which seems to be diluted with water.
