Momma Kong's

Once again, another superb meal at Momma Kong’s. Had the butter crab for the first time, and it was superb. I’d still recommend their black pepper over the traditional chilli crab, and the butter crayfish is a must. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Food was great as was the service. We had the set meal for 4. The restaurant was more basic in decor and furniture than I imagined but that was not a problem. The one criticism I do have is that there was a ceiling fan above our table that caused the food to go cold very rapidly which reduced the enjoyment. I would personally prefer a warmer restaurant with food staying hotter longer.

Service was excellent with the friendly staff. The crabs still tasted good, but not as good as the last time I went. Noise level was very very bad, as there was a big group of drinking customers so my friend and I had to shout to each other even though we are just sitting opposite each other. Suggest the restaurant to do something about the acoustics of the indoor space as it really makes dining uncomfortable with the noise level.

Service staff need to be more attentive, Drink was not served until the last dish of what had been ordered was served. The food turned cold quite easily because the air conditioner is too cold to keep food warm

Perfect place to try for the uninitiated but better chili crab can be found, especially if you like a little more kick in your sauce.

Good service with good food! Love the crab bee hoon soup and luncheon meat chips!! They even gave us mini shou bao because they knew we are celebrating birthdays, which i found this quite sweet.

Food was average, and certainly nothing to write home about. As for service, it was ho-hum. The bucket for the crab shells was full a few times and we needed to flag some staff over to empty it for us.

Momma Kong’s was a yummy and refreshing crab 🦀 experience for us after going to the chain establishments for years. Receiving a printed photograph of our group at the end of the meal was a nice touch. Thank you!

We had 2 types of crab, chilli crab and crab bee hoon. In my opinion, the bee hoon serving is a bit small. The bee hoon soup is not too salty too and without MSG. The fried mantou is well done, cripsy on outside and soft inside, it really goes well with the chilli crab sauce.

The food was quite good. But service was one of the worst ever have had. Three waiters, who did not want to serve clients. They were eating and drinking behind the bar with phones in their hands. We have to say them that have finished to eat, have ordered a bottle of wine, but never had that on table, and have to ask the dessert, napkins, forks. Never they said sorry, thank you or enjoy... There are so many good restaurants in Singapore, we won't recommend Momma Kong's. That service and their prices are not attractive!

Great hospitality - very friendly and informative. Food was delicious with great flavors. Would highly recommend to others and I would personally return when I'm in Singapore!

Nice ambiance, good portion and fresh seafood. Definitely will recommend to friends and family. Book early as area is small, tables got taken up quite fast.

Subpar service and average food - no MSG as promised, that's for sure. Enjoyed the stingray. Good location to see a heritage area of Singapore.

Second time back & this time has the pepper crab & the chilli crab. Oh and friend buns ... must have! Need to come back to try the butter crab now! AMAZING

This place is only for tourists. If you really want good value tasty crabs, there are many others in Singapore. Even local coffee shops serve better than here. Instead of crab, I would say "crap".

Not the best chili crab I've tasted and SD297 for two with a beer is getting.to be expensive. Would probably not go back again. There are better options close by.

We have been regular customers for the last 5 years. This time, the steamed crab was terrible, the crab roe was as hard as wood, the crab meat was not sweet and moist and succulent as it used to be. It seemed like the crab was precooked and just heated up before serving. The same with our other crab Crab Bee Hoon. We know how these dishes should be because we've been eating them for the last 5 years. Very disappointing.

It was so delicious. I want to go again. Recommend to all. Chilli crab!

Food is generally ok, good ambience and good service. I tried the set for 2, chili crab was ok. Quite full even on a weekday evening. Parking in the area is very challenging though.

Overall the dinner was fantastic. The food was good and the service was fast. The price per crab is also decent. I can just recommend this restaurant to anyone who is keen on having the best Chilli Crap ever.

Awesome foods they provided! Chilli crab was very freshly and really delicious, sambal prawn fried rice and crispy chicken chunks came all very yummy! We all love it!

The shop is near by china town mrt & easy to find place & nice shop.Also good tasting for chili crab & quick order .will come again :)

My third time to visit and Momma Kong's remains to be a no-fuss venue with friendly staff and good quality food for reasonable prices. Worth coming back to!

The chilli crab lives up to its name as the best in Singapore! Couple that with the fried Amntou and you’ll be unwilling to stop eating. Overall an enjoyable meal and dining experience!

Was expecting better as the reviews were awesome. Catered more to the younger crowd and taste buds. Not worth a 2nd visit in my opinion.

We ordered the set for 2 and the butter crab is utterly divine! The choices of dishes are great - recommend to add more carbs options. Staff were friendly, however not attentively enough.

Great central location, reasonably priced and delicious chilli crab and black pepper crab. Friendly staff, fast service. Next door to Club street. Perfect for tourists. You will not be disappointed! :)

Excellent crab at a fair price. (No surprises when the bill comes!) It has a clean modern space and attentive service. We would go back.

It is a zi char café style. Atmosphere is ok but food lack the zi char taste. The chili crab that we had was not that fresh and i can taste some fishiness in the gravy. The steam crab was better and taste fresher. All the rest of the food was just mediocre and for that price, i can get better food elsewhere!

Definitely a very good “crab” experience”!!!! The “”crab” bun was a perfect food for the crab sauce! Although a bit pricey, still worth the experience!

Eaten here several times, this time chili crab wasn't good though the crab was fresh. The crab porridge had shells in it as well. A bit disappointed.

Great crab dishes to choose from. Very fresh seafood. Uncomfortable chairs but worth it. Efficient service. A bit i pricey but then what isn’t in Singapore.

Great food. Booking process was easy and staff were helpful especially helping with Gluten Free knowledge and choices. We had the set meal for four which was a good selection with items we may not have chosen, but which we enjoyed.

Food was delicious, we have chilli crab, butter crayfish, fried mantons, rice, garlic kangkong and grilled squid. It was worth it. However the dessert wasn't what we expected.

한국인 리뷰가 없는거 같아서 남깁니다. 가격은 여느 칠리크랩집과 마찬가지고 비싼편이고 맛은 좋아요. 저는 만터우 찐거랑 튀긴거 둘다 시켜봤는데 튀긴게 더 맛있어요. 3인이서 갔는데 게 2개 볶음밥하나 만터우 4개 시켜서 배터지게 먹었습니다. 2인이시라면 게 하나 밥 하나 또는 게 하나 만터우 4개 추천합니다. 갈만해요.

The food standard had improve hope it can maintain it. Services still need great improvement since there is service charge we would expect there should clearing of plates that is full with crab shells but that is not done.

My second visit. Good service, friendly staff. Food was just slightly above average - in terms of taste. But big and fleshy crabs. Definitely worth going once for the experience, but just once is enough.

Good and quick service! Mantou's were nice as were the veggies. The crabs (Black pepper and Chili) were a bit 'meh'. We've had better elsewhere in SG. This seemed toned down, perhaps to cater to the tourist crowd. fairly expensive as well compared to other restaurants focusing on crab relative to size of dishes, and especially considering flavor.

A truly nice experience. Really fresh crab!!! The ambience was soft, clean and modern. Service was friendly. Pricing was reasonable as well. Next time, I will only order the crab and the mantu.

I booked a table for 2 people for 5.15 pm this evening (thurs) so that we would get the advertised 20% early bird discount. Our bill came to $132 ++ and when I questioned why we weren’t given the discount we were told that the discount only applied to a la carte meals and because we had the 2 person set menu we weren’t eligible. In the Terms and Conditions on your site this is not mentioned. I feel like we’ve been scammed and am extremely disappointed.

Service was fast and the food was good. We ordered the chilli crab (of course), butter crayfish (which we absolutely loved) and squid. It was on the expensive side, but as a "tourist" experience, it was okay.

Fresh food makes delicious cuisine. We enjoyed the dinner very much. Surely, we will patron Kong when we visit SG again.

Crab is super salty or essentially this is the worst crab I have ever taste. not finish my crab and not sure why trip advisor is praising this restaurant.

The chili crab sauce was a little too watery, and the rest of the side dishes were just mediocre. Crayfish was quite good, but overall the quality doesn’t match the price.
