Good food. Good service and lovely ambience. Good selection of cheeses

Has been several times as we liked the food. But the chocolate cake is a little dry this time. Service standard has also slipped a little. They would rather have their staff briefing first, before leading us to the correct table (change 3 times) - something to note for the management. Will still return.

Our cheese order came wrong. We asked for the hard cheese platter but got the soft cheese. We love the french butter, wanted to get additional servings for it, but they seem to be a bit taken back that we were happy to pay for it instead of getting the foc butter top up. However, when the butter arrived it was the normal butter and not the french butter, and we had to go through another whole minute of insisting that we want to pay for the french butter and that is what we wanted. I guess neither the FOH or the kitchen believed that we would want to pay for french butter. The restaurant was very hot and stuffy with selected cold spots - I wouldn't recommend it for a night out.

Charming restaurant where food is tasty and prices are correct though not cheap. Main dishes choices could be expended a bit. Wine list is also limited if you just want a glass.

Great ambience, food and service. A little bit on the pricier side, but overall a good experience there. Very aesthetic cafe perfect for a girls' day out or brunch!

Food was good but they really need a salad or a wider choice of vegetables. It was Asparagus or nothing. If I went back I would order a wider range of starters to share.

Had high hopes of this place but turns out to be just average. 1) Seats There were plenty of seats around but they chose to place us at the seat nearest to the toilet. 2) Service Dinner service starts at 6pm, we reached there at 545pm and requested if we could look at the dinner menu first (staff already told us dinner service starts at 6pm but we only wanted to look at the menu first). The staff repeated that dinner service only starts at 6pm and we had to “assure” her that we knew and only wanted to take a look first (not a crime right?). She agreed but the menu never came. Scallops wasnt available on that day but they didnt even inform us until the time of ordering. And there were 2 specials of the day which the first staff didnt inform us either. 3) Food Steak was overcooked. The Marcel Chicken (special of the day) was room temperature when served. Chicken was nicely cooked but was somewhat tasteless, saving grace was the sauce. Not worth a 2nd visit

2nd time here with my sis. The food and ambience are still consistent. Not all staffs provide equally good service though, but it is still acceptable.

Love the ambience and the staff were all relatively friendly. Would recommend it for catch ups and chilling sessions but not birthday celebrations that involves bringing a cake from outside. There will be a ‘corkage’ fee of $15. It is the first time experiencing it but maybe plan in advance and work around it if you are celebrating birthdays there.

Lovely place, but food is so so. Expected more given all the rave reviews! There were staff interviews held at the table right next to us , which was a bit odd

Food and service were both great! Both duck and crab rilettes were delicious and I especially liked the ravioli and mushroom side dishes. We also had the pork and tuna mains which were good (but not great).

I was Surprised with the overpriced coffee served in Merci Marcel. I believe I can get similar quality coffee just next door. Food was ok thou...

First time there but will definitely be back. Went for lunch and enjoyed the cozy environment, very good food and nice service. Would seem to be a good place for dinner as well.

The soft cheeses platter was amazing - I liked the truffle one the best! Also had the tarte flambee and ravioles de royan, and both were good (although it was a bit cheese overkill with so many cheesy dishes). Overall nice ambiance and very helpful service.

I love Merci Marcel! I’d only been for brunch before and it was my first experience of dinner there and it was superb. The food, the wine and the service was great. Will definitely be going back :)

Good food, nice food presentation, nice cosy setup. Cushion need a good wash to remove dirty stain. Music a little too loud this morning but play the right one. Keep ip the good job.

Atmosphere is wonderful and coffee was very good. A little pricey at $7.06 after ++ but was good nonetheless. Place has good WiFi and vibes are very nice

Staffs are friendly and helpful, good ambience, food’s good although the pork tenderloin did not lift up to expectations but the thin crust pizza, the crab meat with bread and truffle fries were good.

Love the ambiance and decor when I first step into the restaurant. The service staff are very attentive and professional when explaining the menu to us. Food is awesome too. Will be back to try out their lunch.

Serves good food and excellent service. It is a great place for a semi-formal dinner date. And the location is great, as they are bars and dessert places nearby.

Nice place, staff is friendly and the food is good. Good place for to eat with your friend. The only downside to my eyes, it's the wooden plank that serves as a plate, I'm not a fan.

Beautiful bistro and wonderful service. I love the bright natural sunlight and spacious main dining hall. I just wish for more interesting brunch / lunch menu. Dinner menu looks more interesting.

Great first experience! I really liked the ambiance of the space and the waiters were very attentive and accommodating. I ordered the pork tenderloin as the main dish and it was super delicious. Definitely recommend dipping the baguettes in the pork tenderloin sauce too!

Merci Marcel's dinner menu is made for sharing. We ordered the cheese croquettee, red snapper and seasoned mushrooms (this is really good!). Will be back for their brunch!

The staff and ambience of the place were lovely as usual! It would be great if the dinner menu could be slightly more extensive though as I did feel like the choices were slightly limited. A great place to dine and catch up with friends after work!

First visit and I will be back. Food is delicious especially the Comte ravioli The wine selection is great, service was fab and I love the decor - definitely recommend

Their food is nice. But I feel it is more for sharing than having individual main. The seat is way too small. Insufficient space to place my food and drinks.

It's one of the heat lunch places to try out good quality meal around Tiong Bahru corners. Indoor aircon not cold enough. Quite crowded and noisy in lunch hours. Sometimes it's worth to try new tastes once a while though it's not inexpensive.

Food was pretty authentic for French cuisines. The price point seemed reasonable for the portions served. Wished they gave a bread basket after taking our orders though - as most French dining places would!
