Went for Jack and Rai live band on Thursday. As usual they were great. Food and service were good as usual. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

To be honest, when I booked this venue the night before my gathering I was just looking at the Quandoo description and the food menu. It was one of my friends who pointed out a few minutes later that the place was a whisky bar, but we decided to go with it and see how it goes. Food - The food menu was pretty good, which was the reason why I selected out of several other options. As my friends were not too hungry, we were only able to order the meat sharing platter. It was pretty good though - first time I've seen steak and ribs being represented on a sharing platter. The food was pretty tasty, wouldn't mind coming back to try more dishes. Service - I've been seeing this quite a bit, but most F&B outlets are pretty short-staffed nowadays. That said, when we managed to catch the staff's attention they were helpful and polite. One thing my friends and I didn't appreciate was being hard-sold whisky by the brand ambassador. I understand that they have to do this as part of their work, but I honestly wasn't keen to buy a whole bottle of whisky (especially when I don't really like whisky). Ambience - Jack and Rai were playing on the night we were there, which was pretty cool. With other groups of friends that would have been pretty cool and we would have gotten into the whole vibe. Unfortunately this was a group of friends I wanted to talk and listen to, so the venue wasn't as suitable. Overall this place would be ok as a typical nightspot, but not so much as a place to chill and have conversations.
