Pleasantly surprise with this unknown place, the food was great.
Nice food and ambience with good service. Will recommend to friends.
this is a belated review 4 years later to get my reward points..
Not v worth the money as food portion is rlly small and its nt v fantastic :(
Foie gras was damn good! Price is reasonable. The place was cozy
Disappointed that a Japanese restaurant does not have japanese rice for their Dons. Fried ice cream isn't available either. Service was so so and nothing spectacular.
Nice small hole in the wall place. Reminds me of the small train station Izakayas in Tokyo. Good simple food, unpretentious. Drinks are chilled. Sake is good. What more to ask for?
Lovely experience, made better with great service and food. Good place to chill with friends, family or quiet evening for 2 . Check it out .
Good qualty food and good selection of sake for the customers to choose from. Small and comfy environment, not overly cramped or crowded. Nice for a gathering with friends
Great! Small cosy place. Menu is on a small side though. Some choices of sake and cute sake glass to choice from. Friendly and fast service.
Will recommend beef and kimchi ramen. Fantastic oyster. :) Quiet and comfy place for young couple. But have to order one bottle if you are keen on hot sake. Definitely will come back another time.
I have been here several times and introduced different groups of people here. The food is consistent and fresh each time. Service is prompt and sincere. I am a fan of their Kimchi ramen, a delight of savoury and sourish in a comforting dish! 😊 I'll come back again for sure!
The restaurant sits inside the connexion building. A small yet conducive ambience with excellent service. The serving staff are always attentive towards customers. We specially love the beef short rib and chicken thigh! Thumbs up for that!! Thanks for the fond memories on our anniversary :) Great choice indeed!
Food is nice, although the portion sizes are small. We loved the decor and ambience. We tried tori momo and shishito for appetizer, and chicken and salmon donburi for mains, and most were pretty tasty. Our favorite was the chicken donburi.
Small, cozy environment with interesting decos. Had the rather addictive Kawa Ebi (deep-fried river shrimps) as snacks and the Kaisen Chirashi Donburi as main, sadly it was the bara chirashi type and it wasn't fresh.
Very nice restaurant ...Nice service , fresh and cool ...Good Japanese food next to Little India . I enjoy the meals very much . Will come back
Food, ambience and service was great! Particularly love the scallop and pork belly skewers - so juicy and delicious! Indeed a hidden gem in Farrer Park.
My place to go whenever I'm craving for Yakitori. Food and drinks to share with friends, would be good if the food standard can be more consistent. But overall still great!
Everything to love about this little Izakaya. Small and cosy, service staff are attentive and warm. Food was nothing short of awesome, just the way I like it.
Fantastic service, from wait staff and chefs. New menu line up now has more dishes available. Selection of sake is wide and of good quality.
Food quality has dropped. Portions are smaller. Menu has changed. Overall I am disappointed. What happened???? Etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
Cosy casual dining plc; lunch set is average. Service is prompt & short waiting time for food to be served ; overall experience is still gd for a quick lunch.
nice interior, smaller than expected but cosy. very gd service from the crew, polite, helpful and attentive. read past reviews and noticed they actually improved on what was commented that can be better. last but not least, the food is good too.
It's our third time at JINzakaya and we're fans of the yakitori here. Some people might think that the selection is limited compared to other yakitori places, but we feel that JINzakaya do what they do really well. We've tried many dishes on their menu and so far they have yet to disappoint!
We celebrated our friend's birthday here and were pleasantly surprised the staff helped to arrange her 12 mini cupcakes in a lovely nice heart shape pattern! Thanks for the effort, we appreciate it very much. We wanted fugu mirin but Jinzakaya didn't have it. However quick thinking staff told us he'd check with the restaurant next door and order it for us. It was so yummy, we ordered another serving. Very good service overall. Food wise, we liked everything we ordered - especially the marugoto tomato, ika maruyaki
Food very nice! Service good! High recommended! A bit ex.

the place is a nice place to visit and the food is pretty good considering the price i paid for it. i would say it is a recommended place to go..
Nice foods but some choices are not available. Seating can be more comfy as some of the diners spent a longer time especially during dinner
Pricey, quality and taste don't match. Service wasn't all that great either. Highly disappointing and left there with my tastebuds and stomach dissatisfied. Appetiser was too salty, tsukune was gamely, karubi and kushi skewers were passable, and the butabara must have been the most fat-free pork belly I've ever had, rendering it tough, dry and flavourless. Will give credit for the home tofu (loved it) and the chicken skin skewers which were nicely crispy and excess fat rendered. Sadly, that's not enough to make me return or recommend.
Good food. Service was excellent. Kudos to Jake for the good sake recommendation. Sake was a great food accompaniment. If they had grill dried fish, that would have made it complete.
Great service from staf. They served a number of complimentary items and also sake if there is a birthday celebration. Food is basically well priced with good sake as well.
Pretty good price for chirashi. Oddly they insist to serve a drink even though my friend didn't want it, although it was a free cup of water
Great! The wine is good & always chilled. Food served too fast and became cold dish, especially those needed to be consumed while still hot. Need to improve.
Quiet place. Away from the crowd. Quality of food is there. If feel like having yakitori, can consider coming here. Unless you have extra cash to spend, then it will be Kazu. Will be coming back here for sure.
Warm service. Interesting and quality yakitori. Finer than some joints I've been to in Singapore. Yakitoris and small dishes can really add up to the final bill. So in terms of pricing I think the yakitoris could be lower. Decoration not quite as described or endeavoured. Overall a good place to chill out with a beer on the weekends.
Celebrating a friend's birthday there. Staff was very nice to take our cake to put on a plate & decorated with fruits & even put a candle on it for us! Friends had great reviews for the skewers. Chirashi don was a little smaller than usual size but it's a good sized carbs when paired with skewers.
Food was great except portion was a little too small. Lunch set is much cheaper than dinner, so it's more worth it to go in the day.
As usual, did not disappoint but the grilled squid has been out of stock the last 2 times I went and I hope it'll be back soon!
Good yakitori with a chic ambience, would be better if there are more variety of chicken parts. Decent selection of Sake that are not overpriced as you might expect from a member of the Les Amis group.
Nice food and good service. We ordered a bottle to hot sake and waiter suggested to try it with some lemon. Food was good too, away from the crowd on a weekend night
Great food, even better staff. Top notch service. Definitely recommend it to others. Prices are worthy of the quality and service standards of the restaurant.
Excellent service and very nice food. Lunch deal was reasonable and not too pricey. Will go again in the future with friend and family. Good
I ordered the chicken cartilage. They were made to order and well seasoned. You can see the chef preparing it from the kitchen window. Cooked donburi were alright. Drinks on the other hand were on the lighter side. (I ordered Lemon Sour) Overall pretty satisfied with my meal :) Definitely will come back for skewers!
We decided to try JINzakaya as we were craving for some yakitori. Everything that we ordered turned out to be amazing, whether it was yakitori, the rice bowl or the grilled unagi. The service was really good, too! Will definitely be back.
I went there as it was part of the les amis group but I was disappointed with the quality of the food for the value paid.
Great food and service, reason why I didn't score it full points is because it looks modern and contemporary; I personally prefer the look and feel of a classic Japanese izakaya.
Must order the momotaro tomato and great sake selection! Check out their revamped menu and promotions as well (enquirer in store). Can be a tad noisy...
The grilled items did not disappoint. Must try (in my opinion) are the grilled oysters. The oysters are wrapped in pork belly and a silver of lettuce, which complimented and brought out the sweetness of the oysters. Also tried the King Prawn with Uni sauce. Dish was slightly pricey at $25 for 1 prawn, but the prawn was fresh and perfectly cooked. Uni sauce had a tad too much mayo for my liking. Overall, food quality was high. Quite a good selection of sakes as well. Worth a visit!
Great service! :) Their lunch sets were a great deal. Portion was a little big but we enjoyed the yakitori too. Would visit again next time.
