Deli’s Kitchen - Japan Grill Delicacy

Seating was quite cramped. Food was ok but not outstanding.

Despite its small size, Deli Kitchen delivers great-quality Japanese dishes that are truly delicious.

While the location and setup of this eatery can be said to be not so appealing, you'd be pleasantly surprised by the standard of their cooking and wide choice of quality Jap-themed dishes. My personal favourite is the anago don, which I regard as a healthier version (based on cooking method) of eel over rice :) Another must try is their roast beef don. The premium tonkatsu options are also tempting, though I haven't yet tried them. The only downside I feel is the lack of hot brewed Japanese tea -- what they serve is powdered tea, which somehow doesn't taste right imho! -- to provide a good balance to the food you eat. Still, if you're in the vicinity of Jln Besar/Little India, do drop by Sunshine Plaza to check out Deli's Kitchen!

Small restaurant but great service. Really liked the roast beef don!

The service is good. But it’s only 1 guy serving and cooking. The restaurant looks empty. The food is not really up to our expectation.

The reservation process was a breeze. The food quality was consistently excellent, each time we visited the restaurant. Service was prompt and polite. This restaurant is one of our favourites.

their anago don remains a favourite - you can enjoy sweet eel over rice without the usual heavy feeling from sauce-drenched unagi. yummy! 😋

This is a homey little Japanese restaurants, run by Japanese (I think). Suggest upsizing the meat portion as the smallest portion is a little out of proportion vs the rice.

Cosy restaurant with a wide menu variety. But the food is quite expensive for its portion. I'm a beef lover but I guess ox tongue is not something I enjoy.
