Excellent seafood tucked in Clementi. Staff is very helpful, making sure we ordered just the right amount for our group.

Very good Service and Food. the quality is excellent with very friendly and helpful waiters and waitresses . Price of the food is reasonable though the seafood price is a bit on the higher side.

Fresh and quality seafood with generally good service. But on weekends, only allowing 1.5hr for dining is a little rushed to enjoy all the food.

Staffs should have called earlier to inform that the table is till 7.30pm only instead of telling me when I reach there. I was caught in between should I proceed with the dinner or not since we are just given about 1hr15mins to order and to eat finish. End up I have to take away the crab and consume at home since eating crab is very time consuming.

- Overall the food was tasty - Quality of the crabs can be improved as they are low on meat - Service of the waitress who took our order was good. Based on our needs, she made reasonable recommendation on the portion of dishes we should order. - Service level of others not very good: we were asked 3 times if they could serve our dessert, even though not all of us finished eating the main course. Then we were asked at least twice if we want to settle the bill. That was at about 6.50pm despite us being told earlier that we could have the table till 7.30pm. The rating should have been a 3 because of this.

Service definitely need improvement. We are being time 90 min to finish up the food, I understood this part as it’s mother’s day but food is being serve slow so can’t fault us on that. Nonetheless while in the midst of eating the fourth dish, the waiter already serve us the bill at 7.15pm while we are still eating the crab with hands still dirty. Saying a lot of people, need us to buy the bill first. Despite we telling him our hands dirty currently as he can see, he still insist us to foot the bill first. I seriously don’t see the rush. Really dampen the Mother’s day mood.

The seafood are fresh. The signature dish of golden crabs is good👍👏👏 The service is not fantastic.... restaurant is pretty busy so not much attention was given to the customers.😔

Had dinner on Mother’s Day eve, some how the quality was below the usual standards, likely due to the large orders and crowd. Avoid such weekends!

recommended dishes are the seafood bee hoon, crab in pumpkin sauce and coconut ice cream with pudding. great service and nice lady boss.

Crab was huge yet well cooked and flavour was good. Food was served luke warm, could be hotter in my opinion. Generally quite a good experience.

I think this restaurant has changed hands since I was there last. Quality not as good as before, service not as good as well as quantity not being as good as I remember.

Service staff was friendly and made great recommendations. They were also quite attentive and efficient. Portions were about right. Best of all, there was no corkage.

Unfortunately for a crowded Wednesday night, they ran out of crabs! No crabs when we specifically wanted to treat our guests crabs, that’s why we chose Chin Huat seafood restaurant. Too crowded so service was sort of slow, almost difficult to get the servers’ attention. Food is good otherwise, as always, that’s why we like Chin Huat seafood

The restaurant was packed on a weekday, speaks a lot about the quality of food and service of Chin Huat. Some of the "must-try"s include the salted eggyolk eggplant, blackbean beef hor fun, and the coconut pudding.

All food are good, we had golden crab, and it’s quite different from other crab dishes in other restaurant! and dessert coconut pudding is surprisingly amazing

Nice food. Great service. I would bring my family back for dinner again. The suckling pig is very tasty because of their special marinate. Great.

The speciality golden crabs was very good. We had the seared Angus beef which is very juicy and tender. The wait stuff was courteous. Overall a good meal

The food standard was great as expected, with prompt service. However location of table wasn’t ideal as it was very very dark with faulty lights that would have otherwise made the night prefect.

Grest food. Super friendly staff who are personal and nice. The lobster bee hoon is cooked so well and has a nice wok taste. The golden sauce crab is great tasting too.. Keep going back there.

Chin Huat has good chilli crab. Outdoor seating was pleasant and ambience is good. Must get the fried and steamed mantous too. Both are delicious with the sauce. A bit pricey though.

Very good for almost all of seafoods, but 1 thing, recommendation from reastaurant, make me confortable.

The prawn there was awesome. Enjoy going there as it serves generally good food. The place is usually crowded. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Chin Huat is honestly one of the best seafood restaurants in Singapore with the freshest ingredients. I’ve never had a bad dish, and never been disappointed!

The food was good, but the service was a little slow. The guy taking our order was a bit aggressive. Telling us how much to order when we knew what we wanted.

Service was a little lacking as food was slow and the resturant is not fully booked. But the food is still good and yummy. Just need to work harder on service.

The food is delicious, and we love the coconut pudding. Service a little bit slow though, maybe because not enough staff? Overall we are always enjoy our dinner here

member discount not valid during CNY and prices are higher than stated on menu (ala carte items) but was not informed until the bill came. food was served slower than usual too.

We had to wait a very long time for our food (nearly 1 1/2 hrs for our main). It was tasty though, and staff was great.

The food during the CNY was very good. we had a good time. However, the table for 10 persons at the inner corner is tight, leaving something to be desired.

The service is good. The food is also good. Price-wise, depending on what you ordered, it could be more the high side for seafood items.

Honesty is the best policy, yet that wasn’t the case for last night’s dinner. My family and I have been to Chin Huat many a times in the past and naturally we would order their famous chilli crab, and that was what we did for last night’s 人日celebration. BUT obviously things went wrong, our crab was forgotten and did not come until an hour later. What’s seriously disappointing was that when we had checked on our order with their staff for more than 5 times, they had ignored us and made excuses instead. This just pissed me off, if our order was forgotten, fine, just be truthful about it and rectify the problem immediately. I do not appreciate being lied to, and kept waiting like a fool.

Excellent and fresh seafood at reasonable prices. Service is good as well and staff are friendly and helpful. A definite place to go for yummy and fresh seafood.

Good food good restaurant, will go again with my friends and family

Very good. Food and service were excellent. The crabs were especially well-prepared in chilly and black pepper sauces. The dessert of coconut custard, coconut ice-cream and fresh coconut meat all in a shell was exceptional.

We went there for new year lunch with family members. Ordered steamed soon hock, seafood braised ee fu mian, spinach with 3 eggs, roast chicken, roasted suckling pig. Food is very fresh and delicious. Esp the roasted suckling pig, not much fats, crispy and no porky smell. Credit to roasted chicken too, tender and surprised the chicken breast was not dry and tough. Coconut pudding with ice cream was refreshing, mango sago was good too, not too sweet.

Considering our previous experience at Chin Huat, the CNY set lunch our family had was marvellous. However, as the restaurant can become very loud when they are busy and the ambient air quality is somewhat stale, they would do well to work on the sound management and ventilation in the restaurant to improve the dining experience.

It is a yearly routine that we had our reunion dinner cos if the good food and great service from the staff. Recommend to try
