Amazing experience with lots of great memories over a simple family dinner. Will definitely come back here again.
Good level of spicy experience. The service was fast and punctual. We booked at 17:30 on Thursday, still early for dinner, so there was no so clouded. We feel we found a good place in JC.
Food is tasty and the ambience is great for a gathering lunch/dinner.
The food is pretty delicious esp the xiao long pau. The sour plum drink is super refreshing. Our group finish two jars! Prices are very reasonable. We were placed in a section which is not crowded and so we could talk amongst ourselves without having to raise our volume in order to be heard. The skin of the dumpling in the soup is too thick. We had to ask for extra soup as there were so many dumplings in the bowl and too little soup for us to share. and
this is my second time here. I was so pleased that I managed to seat away from the entrance and enjoy my food. the signature eggplant has never disappoint me. came back for that. the dimsum was great! Will bring coming back again for these.
Love how they accommodated and celebrated our kid's birthday! Thanks!

Food tastes great and service was superb! Accepts credit card payment too.
Came here so many times. This time i brought my Myanmar colleague. They love it. Food as usual, tasty. Worth the price. Their signature grilled fish is a must to try!! Will come again!
Brought my Chinese friend here and asked her opinions and she said it was great and i can ditto her opinions too
Booked a table for Iftar with colleagues. We got comfortable seats. The restaurant is packed to brim though. The food is served timely, however, not all dishes are dished out when it's time for breakfast. It comes out progressively, I guess it's being cooked fresh! the food is delicious! Had the mala, grilled fish, thick creamy soup and fried cabbages. All very nice!
The staff were really accommodating and friendly. They provided is with a clean and perfectly-sized table. We arrived for Iftar before the timing that we had booked, so we waited outside. They saw us and invited us in despite us being earlier. The food were amazing too. Personally liked the salted egg yolk custard buns. Had to reorder twice.
I think they made a mistake of forgetting to update Quando’s app in the event that it is full house. Cause at that time I did my booking, it was still available. I then needed to make some amendments of the booking hence i went back in the app but was said to be fully booked up until next 3 days. I called into the restaurant to make manual amendments. They claimed that they’ve been calling me when the truth is, i did not even get any missed calls. My phone number was correct. The reason they called multiple times as they claimed to, was bcs Quando’s app got problem they say. So my booking happened to go thru when i think it was them forgetting to stop accepting bookings via Quando’s app/website. But out if goodwill they still managed to reserve a table for my family. Came the time of my booking, i happened to not be around as my daughter was suddenly down with flu. But i told my family to quote my name and contact number. On top of that, I did call in as well to inform them that we might be slightly late. They never me for my name nor contact but just blindly acknowledged. When my family finally arrived at the restaurant, my mom told me that they were a bit fed up and claimed that there were other patrons who kept asking why is there an empty table and if they could take that table. But the staffs kept it for me/ my family. If really in an event that a customer is late, you can always call me back to confirm if i am still coming or not what. Also, when i called in earlier, they did not ask for my ETA. At least if they knew, they would release it and not put it on me/ my family for being late. We did our due diligence to inform you that we might be late. You did not even ask for my name / number, what more the ETA? And now u put it on my family/ the customer?? idk how they run their restaurant. One of the staff as per my sis, still ranting over the fact that they tried calling me to inform me regarding the Quando’s “error booking” when my sister werent the person who did the booking (they thought she was me)! Anyway since the last couple of times i came there, the fried noodle has always been unavailable. I dun see myself going back to Joo Chiat’s branch. But the Marina branch is great! I love the staffs there and the food and ambiance are perfect 👍🏼 also they got the fried noodles in Marina branch.
Would definitely go again. Food was delicious and worth the return trip
