Automatic door was spoiled, no notice or whatsoever. Attempted to touch sensor for a good few minutes before a lady attended to me. Was asked to scan order through a QR code, staff felt not welcoming, food was mediocre. Meat was too tough and chewy, ordered skewers to share. There was basically no service nor interaction I guess. Hardly anybody, one man show. Won’t be back given a choice.
Good was only so so. Drinks were good though cheers
Food is great, the serving time is fast. Price also reasonable.
Foods and even the rice are not hot at all. If you just want to chill out for a drink than is ok since they have wide range of liquors.
Good food! Beer was great and service was not bad too. Will come here again.
In general, the food was good, especially the donburi. Nice place to hang out.
The service was friendly as usual, and the food arrived really quickly, even with a few other tables to serve. The only issue is that there is a gym upstairs and sometimes we can hear the sound of weights being thrown or dropped, and the music in the restaurant was a bit loud for the first half an hour we were there, which made conversation a little challenging.
A return visit for me, new experience for my friends. Feedback from everyone was positive. Food quality and portions were good, tasty dishes. The draft beer promotion was good for group dining. They did run out of Fanta Grape when we ordered a second can for the teetotaler. Service was a one man show, so full credit to the guy who was coping with serving everyone. Good value for money, especially for a location like Holland Village.
The service here this time was really good, the waiter was super friendly, greeted us at the door and was very prompt with serving our food. The food this time was also better than the last, so well done. The only issue, which is perhaps beyond the restaurant's control, is that there seems to be a gym upstairs, and someone was throwing a medicine ball around for about half an hour, which made conversation very difficult! Otherwise, the place had reasonable noise levels.
It was a chill place, 3 pints for 10 each which is quite a good deal. The skewers were fine but could be improved
Food was rather average, skewers were overly salty. Restaurant design looked pretty authentic.
Food is so incredibly tasty, at such value for money prices and sufficient portions to walkout feeling satisfied. Would be back again..
pork belly don 👍 food is grilled upon order. Affordable and delicious Japanese food and frozen glass chill beer.
I used to love this restaurant as my local Japanese diner, but the quality of food has been noticeably declining. The skewers are smaller, and the miso soup was incredibly salty, but had hardly any seaweed and tofu. The music was very loud in there, unnecessarily so. The waiter was very friendly and helpful however, which improved the experience of the visit.
Food is unappetizing & worse than food court standard. Frankly, wondering about all the good reviews. Perhaps, a different chef but on a Saturday nite ??
Nice place to hang out with friends as the place is quiet.
Great service and food. Menu and ordering through the phone. Not great for senior citizens.
The food was fantastic, the service staff were friendly, and ambience was great!
Chicken was amazing and menu extensive. Crazy value for money !
Came here with friends on a weekend to catch up over a "boozy" lunch. The food portions were very generous and we struggled to finish our food. Favourite dish at our table was the gyozas, it was delicious! The only bugbear was that the corn skewer came in a whole cob, which was massive, and when we asked for it to be cut into 3s for sharing, they informed us it was impossible. The miso soup bowl lid was also stuck, so one of us couldn't drink the soup.
The Japanese food is nice especially the grilled ones! Yum!
The atmosphere was quiet and not crowded on a weekday after work. Food was not bad and there was a promotion for beer.
Really delicious food at great value prices. The service was warm and friendly, albeit a tad slow. Quiet restaurant, not crowded when we went.
Great hole in the wall place with wallet friendly prices ◡̈
Nice place to hangout with good friends and friendly staff.
We had a very pleasant dinner .. the food was delicious and went well with chilled mugs of Asahi! Will return.
Pretty average food quality as a dinner place. Dumpling was the highlight for my meal. Feels more like a drinking place with good promo
Great grill food, very juicy oyster mushrooms and meat grills! Everything was yummy. There are only 2 sake available but many other drinks
Food is not bad! Portion is very decent too! Looking forward to order the wagyu don (cos it was not available then)
