very good food and service in beautiful surroundings! Try the halibut in a bag. Some of the appetizer and deserts are very creative, lots of spices.
The food tastes wonderful and the environment is so beautiful. We all very enjoyed the dinner in Halia at Singapore Botanic Gardens. Hope you like it too.
Very hard to get to. Leave early if you don't wanna miss the reservation.
A beautiful location with excellent food and service. The perfect venue for a gathering of friends to catch-up. Shoutout to our server Ha, Rallan and Mae who made sure our night was special.
Beautiful peaceful location, lovely atmosphere, food and wine good, staff very friendly, helpful . Only problem a bit inaccessible and difficult to find especially for taxi services.
The food especially the chilli crab spaghetti, was excellent! The staffs were professional, warm & friendly! The surrounding ambience for that night was just right~!
The food was well presented and tasty and service good. Obviously the restaurant has taken the feedback to heart and improved there service. Definitely worth visiting.
One of our fave restaurants. Star dishes are truffle fries and steaks. Esp the wagyu rump. Cocktails are good too. Service was great. A little disappointed with venison. Could have been better seasoned.
Great ambience, great food and great service. The chilli grab pasta is a must try even if ginger isn't your favorite food you will come to love what is prepared.
Excellent service as was the food in a lovely surrounding The attention to detail made the experience made the visit really worth while Well done Martin
Great food and service with hospitable staff and relaxing atmosphere. There's even a Jazz band to jive up the Sunday evening. Keep up the good job, Halia!
The food was very good but the service was poor. At least one or two waitstaff were always standing along the dining room wall, watching the diners, but they did nothing. We waited 10-15 minutes after arrival with no water and no offer for drinks, so I turned around in my chair, made eye contact and raised my hand slightly, but none of them nodded acknowledged me, none of them moved their feet, and none of them signaled for somebody who would help us. So I kept waiting, turning around, massively interrupting our business conversation, until I got the attention of somebody who would come to our table. This happened AGAIN when we wanted to order. And AGAIN when we wanted more water. The staff along the wall might have been "busboys" instead of waiters, but even if they're not supposed to take orders at the tables, they still could have nodded to me and gone to fetch a real waiter. We weren't in a hurry, and I don't mind signaling when we want something, but I'm really very frustrated that the process of asking for service would be so protracted and disruptive and undignified. It totally ruins the business conversation I'm trying to conduct. What's the point of going to a beautiful garden if we have to display ugly and disruptive manners just to get a glass of water. Our meal was $300 in March 2016 for 3 people during 2.5 hrs of dinner. Each person had 2 or 3 courses and an alcoholic beverage by the glass.
Distinctive and varied food selection. Even a choice of mini desserts as well as "normal size". Black cod, halloumi with ginger and roasted Jerusalem artichoke. Try the layer cake wine.
It was a great moment. Nice atmosphere at night with the lights and forest around. Great service and excellent food. Try the chocolate cake it is truly to die for!!! Cocktails more average but good.
This is my 3rd time there. The staffs provides good service and ambience is excellent. Food is nice too! I will definitely go back again. Strongly recommended.
Beautiful location. If you can handle the humidity, sit outside on the deck. It felt like sitting in the middle of the forest in the evening. The food was very good Asian fusion. Unfortunately our dessert order was missed, and after half an hour we cancelled it as we didn't want to continue waiting. Luckily the wine was good and kept us occupied
Food is very good & very imaginative & the setting ( in the garden) is lovely along with friendly staff. Ideal for a birthday celebration or when we were there a small wedding reception.
The service staff was good & friendly despite we are late for more than 30 mins. The food presentation is good and the food is yummy!! Overall excellent.
Halia offers very exciting food, which is partially (real) fusion food. service was good , but not excellent, have had it better in the past.
Great food and a varied range of tastes and cultures. Loved everything we had. Friendly, helpful service. Beautiful setting. A definite YES to return to on our next business trip.
Great location, good service and very nice food. Light courses and deserts especially yummy. But also the main courses are unusual and tasty. A relaxed night out and perfect to sit in the outside section.
The ambience of the restaurant is perfect. The salad was really delicious, can't wait to go back for it again. However, service was disappointing. My steak was undercooked when it was first served, when they took it back, they served the same piece of meat again. So, my steak was cooked twice. For the price I'm paying, I don't think this should have been the case. A meat that has been on and off the stove twice will have a different texture. Taste as still alright though. Even with that though, I would still return to give this place another try. just hope for better service next time.
we had a great time at Halia, a lovely restaurant in the middle of the beatutiful & peaceful Botanic Garden. We really enjoyed our dishes & drinks. This restaurant is really good for a couple with its romantic theme.
The best outside dining experience in Singapore. Food is always of the highest quality and I will continue to keep going back. Great spot to take friends and family visiting.
Not easy to locate the restaurant especially there are construction work along the drive way. Need clear & visible signboard to guide driver if possible.
Absolutely superb food, service and ambiance - the best in our stay in Singapore. And jazz on a Sunday evening was a bonus. Location made is extra special.
Very nice place with good ambiance. Good service by the team and good recommendation. Love the bday celebration by the staff there with a great surprise
For the appetizers, the tuna and the wagyu were a little disappointing. The ginger and lemongrass drink was very mild. I thought the flavors could have been stronger. I enjoyed the tenderloin that was served with fries.
Wonderful location, very nice service, good and delicious food, helpful and professional staff; a wonderful place to have a "tete a tete" or just to get out of a bustling city and enjoy a dinner to remember
Awesome food, service and ambience! A must try! The staff here are very friendly and will make it a point to talk to you and cater to your needs. Food is always great here. A must try would be their dessert, the Ginger Garden. So cute and delicious!
Friendly staff and good food! Their 3 course set lunch made it very affordable too. Nice environment, amidst the luxurious greenery. We would return again.
Delicious food, lovely natural setting, friendly service, clean buildings. We would love to go there again one day. Best restaurant we have been to in a while!
I had dinner with my wife here. Ambiance was awesome, What a GREAT service ! The rest of the food was tasty. We really enjoyed!!
The service staff were friendly and attentive from the time we arrived till the time we left. The food was great too. We will most definitely come back for another visit!
Great restaurant, quiet and natural dining experience. Alan was also very helpful in preparing a small birthday cake for my girlfriend. Greatly appreciate the efforts in making her birthday special.
Ambience was nice, food was fine, beef was good. Price a little steep. Remember to apply mosquito repellent when walking into Botanic gardens. Overall a nice place to dine at if steep price isn't an issue. Will visit again for special occasions.
The service rendered was excellent, likewise for the food. The food quality is of satisfactory level. For the drinks, we do not really enjoy them. Worth going again w/o drinks though.
The ambience of the restaurant is definitely something unique, enjoying the beauty of botanic gardens nature. The food taste and prices were worth a try.
The location is amazing and the food really excellent ! It's the best restaurant I had a dinner at in Singapore. We went with my parents visiting us from France and we will definitely come back with our next visitors!
Love love love the quality of the food! The ambiance was lovely and service staff were very friendly and helpful :) Food were served together at the same time, very thoughtful of them :) would definitely visit again :)
Great food, beautiful setting, good service. Excellent choice if you're visiting the botanic garden or the orchid garden. Food sounds complex but very well balanced tasty dishes.
One of the best fusion places in Singapore. Highly recommended!!!
Great service, great food. Definitely will be back for more. Couldn't have asked for anything else.
Nice food especially Halia’s Singapore-style Chilli Crab Spaghettini Good environment. Just got a bit difficult to find the place. Staff are friendly. Overall okay. Recommended.
Nice ambience. Have to drive there or take cab. Not reachable by public transport. Food are good
Great food in a charming environment surrounded by beautiful trees. Prompt service by the service staff. Love it! We will definitely be back for more.
Great restaurant and even better location. Food is very tasty and the service is top notch. I highly recommend this place. Try to go during a thunderstorm. It is an amazing experience.
We had the silken tofu tempura and the oven-baked halibut. Both dishes were pretty good. Staff were friendly and attentive and the surrounding greenery made for a pleasant ambiance. Great for a relaxing evening dinner and chat. Not cheap but worth the cost once in a while. Prices can be seen at their website.
Service not good. Head waiter not very attentive until the end. Wrong meal bought. Tea too strong. Coffee too strong. Meals very small. Defiantly not as good as before
Great ambience and food. if you want to go classy but still keep your expenditure to a minimum, this is the place. Followed a nice walk in the gardens.
