The Halia is tucked within the lush foliage of the Ginger Garden at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. It’s concept is of a restaurant in a garden and a garden in a restaurant and the place greatly justifies it. After settling in and consuming the positive energy from around the surroundings I ordered for the “Chilli Crab Eggs” and “Banana & Almond” yoghurt drink to go with. The drink was super refreshing and the main dish cooked with crab meat in spicy tango tomato sauce was good too. The best part I felt is the location and it totally transports one amidst a whole lush green world.

Great ambience, fast & friendly services. Prices were a little on the higher end but it was justified for the quality of food served.

We came back there knowing the place from how it was before the renovation. It's a disappointment because all of the colonial flair has been taken away. The menu has fast food style and service was slow and it is quite pricy. The food as such was good but one dish that should have contained truffles did not taste or smell truffle-we told the waiter and the reply was that the coffee was 'on the house' It is a true pity what has become out of this fabulous place.

I simple loved the food!!! Is was a birthday celebrations for my boyfriend. I found and chose this place, the ambience is good. The staff there made us feel welcome and warm. The herbs are just nicely incorporated with the dishes, i love the creativity and most inportant the staff are equipped with excellent knowledge and the service I received is top notched. Never regretted it and it definitely make me want to visit again and I am impressed. Can't remember the name of the staff who served us is a lady by the way. Definitely is due to her service and professionalism that impressed us most.

Tasty food and beautiful ambience. The portion was a little small though for the price and by end of dinner, we had several mosquito bites - which was inevitable cos we are at the gardens, Suggestion : Perhaps they could consider burning some lemongrass essential oils to keep insects at bay :)

We had a lovely lunch at the Halia. We had the 2 course set menu and the food is really nice. The courses come quite quick after each other so good if you have limited time. They give you plenty of ice water and we just stayed a Long time after coffee. It's just a really nice setting in the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Have been a few times and it's always good.

Great ambiance, polite staff who didn't get in the way, good food that's slightly pricey. The walk to the restaurant is pretty long if you're coming from the MRT so my advice is to take a cab or drive. Overall good experience!

Food was amazing and although the quality of service was patchy, the waitress assigned to our table did an amazing job and redeemed the restaurant in the end. It turned this review from a 3 to a 5.

The Food was quite good, but was disappointed with the dessert. The desert comes with a lot of side decorations and it makes the main dessert portion become so little and cant really taste its really taste.

My husband and I got a few mosquito bites while dining outdoor in the evening. I guess sitting indoor would be more pleasant in this case.

A gem of Singapore nestled within a World Hertage site. The food is very high quality and the service staff is welcoming and efficient. Go on Music Night (Sunday) and enjoy live music from a small jazz ensemble.

Nice ambience surrounded by nature ! good to have a walk before or after meal :-) not overcrowded or overloud- Food quality is great too - chili crab spaghettini was filling and delicious, the lamb was tender and soft. The "die die must have chocolate desserts" is ok and contained pop rocks that sizzled in your mouth - bring back some childhood memories. Service by the cheerful Vietnamese waitress top it up.
