Good customer service with excellent ambience. The waitress were very attentive and patience. We were a big group and had guest from Taiwan that only spoke Chinese. Waitresses took the time to explain the menu to them. They were also very good with kids and offered them activity sheets to doodle while waiting for their meals.
We had a very lovely evening at the Halia on F1 weekend. The starters in particular were absolutely delicious - beyond our expectations. Faizal was our waiter and provided attentive and knowledgeable service throughout. Would definitely come back.
Love the ambience and the friendly service. Food was good. The dessert served taste refreshing.
Great find dining I'm the green setting of the botanical garden. Prices on the high side but service is top notch. Strongly recommend trying the set lunch on weekdays.
The cocktails were in need of urgent attention. This was tackled. Food is good & ambience excellent. Now with the casual décor the restaurant is a great place to visit.
Fantastic service by the staff, they went above and beyond and attempt to make it a personable experience. Food was good and we returned for Heavenly Halia which didn't disappoint and there was a live jazz band which adds to the great atmosphere.
Location ,Food ,atmosphere and staff were all excellent. A great place to take someone for a special occasion. Recommend the light bites, so many different flavours in the dishes.
Nice , cosy and charming dining place with soft ambient Enjoy the food and the attentive and warmth staffs Not very wide spreads but excellently done
Great ambience, better to go in the evenings. They serve very interesting cocktails. The chili crab spaghetti and prawn salad are must haves! The alfresco does not have that many mosquitoes as some claim, or maybe we're just lucky!
Nice ambience~ was worried about the mosquitoes but surprisingly it doesn't have any even it is after raining . Food was special but not to excellent. Staff was helpful
We had a wonderful evening in a magical setting. The food was delicious, the staff attentive, and the lighting and ambience very romantic. An evening at the Halia feels like an escape to Bali or Bintan, without leaving the city.
Overall good experience. Ambiance was very nice with live jazz band on Sunday night. Favourite dish was chili crab spaghettini, other dishes were decent, with the exception of "The Other Harbour" dessert which was poor with the mousse being too hard.
As always, a great experience. Service from staff was good but not great this time. They need to work on the natural warmth of communicating with guests. The front desk as you walk in was pretty cold... No warmth at all. Odd that they ran out of vanilla ice cream - a pretty basic item for the kitchen. However, the resulting Chocolate Affogato should be a permanent option on the dessert list - it was great! The other food was delicious - really, really good. Similar to Halia Hanoi, the menu has changed a bit and slightly downgraded from the fine dining level it was before. This start to make it feel a little to expensive. However, the ambiance of the venue more than make up for that - easily the most delightful dining location in Singapore. Still my favourite restaurant in this city State!
- very good food - good price - staff very attentive et prevenant - wonderful place - attention very cute for my husband's birthday - taxi call after the dinner and a waiter came with us to show the way - so a magical evening
Very good restaurant for dining in an unusual place. Food is delicious. The atmosphere is smooth and relaxing. Very quiet. Great place to entertain your guest. Personnel is friendly. Special thanks to making our evening very comfortable.
Nestled in the botanical gardens, the place provides a great ambience for romantic dates. Food is excellent and service is prompt and polite. 2 thumbs up!!
The place is really beautiful especially at night on the patio. The cuisine is very good, tasty and well displaced in the plates. I recommend you the spaghetti with crab and chili, and the amazing chocolate cake with raspberries for dessert!
Very limited vegetarian options. However great service, very nice, pleasant and caring stuff. Overall opinion is good, but I woudnt say it worth the money.
Lovely restaurant with very good service! The food was very enjoyable, fresh and tasty! Unfortunately the steak I ordered wasn't available which was disappointing, but there was a good variety in the menu.
Good food and very nice ambience. Food is pricy though. 187SGD (inclusive tax and service charge) for Two Pac with two glasses of wine, one entree, two main dish and one dessert.
The place had a great ambience and provided great service! Highly recommended to individuals who just want to chill somewhere after a long walk at the Botanic Gardens!
Great place to wait out a tropical downpour. Great food, fab friendly service, thoroughly enjoyed our girls luncheon. Fantastic place to stop after touring the National Orchid Garden.
Food fine but the service all over the place! Nice people individually but restaurant seriously let down by poor service standard.
Great food with great ambience. Would definitely recommend this place.
Food is good. Atmosphere is great for a quiet date. Can also take a stroll in the beautiful garden before and after food. Staff are very attentive and took note on special requests.
Food is good in overall, staff are friendly and helpful. However, I would suggest more main selection on main course. Will pay another visit again next time.
We ordered the truffle fries, halibut fillet, crab spaghettini and the spice pumpkin soup. The halibut fillet came, wrapped in paper, with the truffle mayo. It just tasted yummylicious!
This is our first visit to this restaurant and we are really pleased with the surrounding atmosphere and service attitude of their staff. Besides that, 5 of us have the chance to taste their various signature dishes and all of them are delicious.
Good food and fantastic service with a great ambiance. Would definitely recommend to couples who are looking for somewhere to celebrate a special event together.
Really nice staff, but it would be made better if the staff could remember which person ordered which items. The food was quite good too, although the price does reflect the increasing cost of good restaurants in Singapore.
Halia never disappoints, be it a business lunch or a weekend brunch or a special night out. The food and ambience is great. Will definitely be back.
went there for my boyfriend's birthday celebration. love the food and natural environment. recommend Sunday night for the live band...thump up!!!
Excellent ambience and good food. Good venue for a casual dinner with family and friends. Pricing is quite OK and service level is good. Would recommend.
We've been there a few times. We ordered different items on the menu each visit. And the food never fails. Service was attentive and prompt. We will keep going back.
Excellent service and the food is fresh and good. Even the kids meal is good. Quality ingredients. Can stroll around botanical garderns before or after your meal. Great location.
Service staff was awesome! Food was nice. Place was toddler friendly with ramp for pram. They had kids' menu so it was easy to grab something for my tod!
Very nice dinner and great food ad music as usual.
Great service and good food. Set on the lush grounds of the Botanic Garden it was a great dining experience. A good start to the New Year.
Very nice and interesting food served at halia. Love the local Flavours.
Awesomeness .. It was great experience and ambience was great .. Good was great ., service was amazing and the selection of food was great xx
Expensive for both quality & quantity of food served. Service is inconsistent and not particularly welcoming. We had only lunched there because we wanted to visit the orchid garden. Wd have be good if there is a tie up for discount
The venue has a really great ambience to it. Situated just beside the Singapore's National Orchid Garden, it has a great view and let you get very close to nature. Food wise, it offers a variety of food and one thing to note: since the restaurant is named Halia, which is the Malay word for ginger, do expect some of the food to be specially made with ginger. I got a shock myself while trying my wife's Turkey Caesar Salad (yes, we do share our food around :-P) $$$ wise, it's quite value for money, a set lunch, which is only available during weekdays (do check again with the waiters and waitresses). it goes for $32 for a 3 course. All in all, highly recommended!
A beautiful ambience and setting The greeting and overall service flawless . Food is good not great for the price. Have on both occasions taken international visitors.
The food was creative, tasty and beautifully plated. The goat cheese mousse appetizer was very delicious. The ambience was also very relaxing and suitable for a cosy gathering.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening in a serene and peaceful setting. Ideal for a family birthday celebration. Food was beautifully presented, tasted great - and further enhanced by our waiter's wine recommendations. Service was outstanding [thanks Allan].
Good atmosphere on Saturday night, Tasty food, especially tuna & venison. Waiting staff needed more training - couldn't even open a bottle of wine! Would consider returning again..
Celebrated my wife's 50th birthday there on 26th March, such a nice place and experience for my family, the foods and the pre ordered birthday cake are really good and affordable, and also the staffs sure can sing well, really regret never give more tips on top of the service charge.
We chose indoor seating so we were not so disturbed by the mosquitoes outside. The ambience can be quite romantic though we find it a little too dark to see (clearly) what we are eating. This restaurant is definitely for indulgence, referring to both the quality and the price of the food. Though the location is not exactly accessible for diners with no car, it's still one of my first few choices for an exquisite dinner date.
Second visit. Very good environment. Very nice staffs, keep introducing us the new dishes. The set lunch menu renews quite frequently. The raw beef salad is lovely and the new dish -- crispy pork belly is very tasty! We also love those ginger drinks~
It was an absolutely beautiful evening with great food (the kinilaw starter has a subtle confluence of flavours), attentive service, and most importantly great interrupted conversations.
