Supulae Korean BBQ

The owner was rude and purposely marked me as ‘no show’ when i did attend. As it was hard to find parking at that area on a rainy day, we purposely drop one of our friends there first to make sure we are on time for the reservation. While yes, one of my friends were late but we had already ordered and started eating way before that. We even ordered wagyu (which tbh not worth it for the price of 80+) and spent about SGD250+- for 4 pax. When confronted why i was marked as no show, the owner mentioned ‘oh because one of your friends were late. while i will mark you as attended, i will have to note this down somewhere’. ????? Is it really required? What a bad experience. With such price, service and quality, I recommend that you go elsewhere.

The food was served promptly and the marinated crabs were fresh and flavorful. The bbq beef was a bit tough however on the overall, the dinner experience was enjoyable.

Ordered Wagyu A5 and Pork Jowl. Quality was decent but not mind blowing. Enjoyed the cold noodles, quite refreshing. Service was good with staff topping up the sides automatically.

Supulae is a favorite of mine. The staff is always very friendly and competent. Things get a bit tight when the place is full but it is alright. The food is great and never fails to enthuse foreign visitors. As for the noise level: one does not go to a Korean BBQ restaurant expecting the serenity of a romantic candle light dinner. Korean BBQs are best enjoyed with beers or Soju or Makoli etc. and the later the evening the jollier and louder the atmosphere.

They cook for you! Marinated pork belly was the best item in my opinion, pancake was pretty good too

Food quality is good in terms of price. Meat variety can be more. Service very prompt and fast.

Food was not bad. The 7 side dishes were not good vs other places. The set we had which was good for 2-3pax at around $56 only had 2 miserable slices of mushroom and 2 slabs of pork belly, the other meat items were ok. Means portions were small.

The korean bbq set choice is reasonable. service was good and the meats are cooked by the service staff. Will be back!
