We booked to sit inside, but were told we had been moved outside when we arrived. The staff said they tried to contact me, but I did not see any missed calls on my phone. Not a great start to the evening. Some dishes were better than others. The prawn fried rice had large fresh prawns, but too much black pepper and I prefer the cereal to be sweeter in the cereal crayfish. The Crab been hoon was fresh and tasty. They had accidentally included a couple of dishes twice on our bill which we did not notice. It was very honest of the staff to inform us and issue us a new bill. At busy times, it feels like the restaurant needs a few more staff members.

Ordered the crab bee hoon soup and butter crab. Both were pretty good but I preferred the crab bee hoon soup. Don't order any vegetables. Not worth it.

The service staff were incredibly friendly and nice. The food was also served pretty fast, however I expected the food to be better. Location of the restaurant was easy to access by bus/train.

The crab was divine and so was the mantou. Love the photo they took of us and printed out! Momma Kong's is now my new favorite crab place and I'm definitely taking my friends and family here again.

We ordered 2 crabs and the meat was too soft. The servers interrupted us 2-3 times between 9.30pm to 10pm while we were still eating and chatting to ask whether they can clear our plates. Do not understand their hurry to do so as they do not close until 11pm. Not a pleasant experience as they made us feel that we have to finish our food quickly and go.

The food was good quality and the price was reasonable. They only had one crab size, but I would have preferred to order larger sized ones.

The atmosphere was cosy and authentic, the service friendly and efficient. More importantly, the food was simple and simply delicious. It really is a case of "do a few things, and do them well." The menu is thankfully not overstretched. The chilli grab is rustic: the sauce is chunky, not overly-refined, and (mercifully) not sickeningly sweet like other places. And dinner went very well with the Nikka!

Food was lousy, service was worse and even extra wipes to clean messy fingers is chargeable. It is way over priced. I will not go back again, ever.

Ordered 3 crabs: bee hoon, white pepper and steam crab. I appreciate the freshness of crabs but it was not quite consistent, only 2 out of 3 was really fresh. Wish we tried the chili crab. Service was prompt and responsive, but chill guys, I was reminded at least 3 times that we have to leave at 8, including once over the phone. What I really like was the extra service of having our experience 'captured', especially since we were celebrating a happy occasion, we left Momma Kong with a photograph :) happy.

Small cozy diner serving tasty local crab recipes, we ordered 4 out of 6 varieties. Crabs are approximately 650g each, they are kind of small for $48 per plate, we preferred big claws of mud crabs but they do not have them. However, we liked the Man Tau; they are big, crispy on the outside & fluffy on the inside. The tofu chips is tasty too. Service was great, friendly polite young men running the place efficiently. Some of us arrived early and waited outside for the earlier patrons to finish their dinner; so servers set up the table quickly allowing us to start early as soon as they left. It was a family dinner celebrating Father's Day that evening, the Fathers had free beer on the house, thanks Momma Kong's!

The food standard seem to drop a lot as compare to my previous visit with overseas guest. This time round especially all 3 different type of Crab dish all not fully cook. Crab dishes where not warm when being serve initial. The vegetable dish sambal kangkong chilies is lacking of taste. Sotong is too oily. Fried rice rice is being over cooked before being fried. Restaurant owner seriously need to look into this matter otherwise your trip advisor recommendation need to be remove.

The best crab restaurant I found so far in Singapore. I totally love with it. The price is often fair. Much more price-friendly other chain restaurant.

We had dinner on a Sunday night and it was quite crowded, so be sure to make reservations. Ordered Dou Miao, Crab Bee Hoon Soup and Chilli Prawns. Highly recommend the Bee Hoon Soup, because the crab is very fresh. Also kudos to the staff for very attentive service!

My wife and I have always been a huge fan of Momma Kong's. However both of us agreed the standard is going lower. But this may be due to the fact that we have high expectation for the place and so any slight inconsistency will result in a huge disappointment. Service is excellent to make up for that though. Bottom line: Recommended for people who love crabs prepared in a modern way!

It was good, but not as mindblowing as I wanted given the price. The crab was big and meaty, but the sauce wasn't as spicy as I'd prefer. Service was excellent. It's really just the value:price that gets to me. At that cost, I wanted something really special, and this was just pretty good.

Food - squid not well done, salted fish fried rice bland & no wok taste, chili crab too salty, crab bee hoon was ok Service - not attentive (never offer apron when customers are wearing white and we didnt know they have till we see other customers wearing & that's end of our meal. No refill of water) Ambience - not conducive

The crabs are always good-black pepper ones do have a spicy kick. Paranankan one's sauce pair best with rice or mantou. Spicy kang kong veggies are good too! Not overly expensive for crabs in Singapore.

Service was fast. Highlight was the crab beehoon which my son slurped down a few helpings while devouring the crabs. Crabs were huge and sweet. They should work on the sambal for the stingray. Waiters were nice enough to offer my kids ice water rather than us being forced to order swetened drinks.

Food great as usual, chilli crab not exactly to my taste but mantou, butter crab and crab beehoon soup was delicious. A rather pricey meal especially if you drink beer but I think this is the only place you can get crab dishes done nicely in all styles for a small group. Service and ambience also intimate and nice, not scary loud or rushed like in the bigger seafood restaurants.

Overrated Chill & Black Pepper crabs! Crabs are cooked way too salty... black pepper crab doesn't taste like pepper as it wasn't hot at all. The garlic prawns you can taste is not fresh prawns but small frozen ones. The grilled squid was a lil rubbery as I guessed it was over cooked. The cereal crayfish disappointment as the cereal doesn't taste like it have been cooked with curry leave or butter...wonder if they just grilled the crayfish & put the cereal on cos it wasn't even hot. The Chef seriously must try the seafood at Red House or No Sign board to know what this feedback really meant. Service overall I must say is good but the food & reviews are really over rated.

Ordered a Meal for 2 for 4 pax, as recommended by the waiter, but ended up not having enough. So decided to order an extra crab, which was what a Meal for 4 would offer, but waiter said system can't be changed. And it has to be added ala carte. Really inflexible! Though afterwards he returned to say it can now be changed to the Meal for 4, we were not keen anymore, as it isn't our problem in the first place if the system can't be changed?! We are ordering more, not less?! Food was so-so but the fried mantou was really good. Tofu chips were also not up to standard-lack of taste and rubbery. Chilli crab was the better one out of the 3-black pepper and butter crabs.

Loved the white pepper, butter and bee hoon crabs! Fluffiest mantous ever too. For two pax, this is the best place to try more than one style of crab without ordering too much. Each dish is on the smaller side compared to other famous seafood restaurants but very yummy.
