The food and service is excellent. Staff is very knowledgeable.
Good & tasty food, excellent ambience, top service. Tad expensive though
The seasonal specialty soup comprising fresh pork ribs and lotus roots was a sheet delight. The broth was thick and nourishing.
They served very delicious and authentic cantonese dim sum, coupled with superb customer service from Ms Rene.
We really enjoyed are food and the helpfulness of the staff. It was a little noisy.
Dinner was, as always, an exquisite affair. The oriental vegetable soup was an ideal appetiser. The service by Maggie was also warm and hospitable.
The steamed chicken dish was rather exotic. It went well with the ginger garnishing.
The food was underwhelming. Especially the salted baked chicken, supposedly a limited item. The chicken was far from the traditional salted baked chicken. The meat was bland. The rest of the dishes we ordered were mediocre.
Good food, good service, improved taste. Problem is that no parking coupon for customer
The servers didn’t bother to help us refill the tea and no change of new plates when our plates are filled with fish bones and sauces. Some dishes are quite decent but some are disappointing especially the roasted pork and char siew (we expect better since they claimed to be the top Cantonese restaurant).
We were procrastinating and could not decide what to order and the service staff merely stood there waiting for our order. We enjoyed the food. It would have been an even more pleasant experience if the service staff was able to proactively recommend to us the restaurant’s special or signature items.
Nice restaurant and place! Good to visit . Definitely recommend ! Awesome
The ambience was somewhat dampened by a private group function of 60 guests but the service remained top-notch otherwise.
A very nice experience from start to the end. The service is very good.
The festive lunar new year eve dinner was exquisite. The blend of exotic dishes enhanced the atmosphere.
The festive lunar new year set menu was tastefully crafted. The dishes were scrumptious and refined.
great dim sum and superb service by Maggie, Anson & Chin Chin. sure to return.
The Man Fu Yuan Signature Assorted Preserved Cured Meat Claypot Rice was disappointing as it was basic just the cooked white rice in the claypot first and they added in the preserved cured meat in front of it. But the rest of the dishes was excellent.
The ambience was not the most ideal due to crowds but the service remains top-notch.
Good food and environment . Good service too. Thank u
The pre-lunar new year menu had some enticing items which were perfect for the season. For instance, the prosperity lotus root soup which was rich and flavourful.
Amazing food and taste! Wonderful experience! Will definitely come back for the dimsum.
The food was excellent, especially the stir fried tiger prawns with thai basil. The waitress' (the one with glasses; in her 50s) service was top-class!
In conjunction with the year end festivities, this restaurant also included a few novel dishes in the menu. The fish fillets were fresh and enticing.
The pork ribs soup was a blend of savoury and sweetness. It served as an excellent appetiser for the dishes that followed.
The food is yummy and the waitress are very friendly. Loved the black pepper garlic beef!
Great service and superb food - had delicious dim sum
Our guest from Vancouver was delighted with the Irish duck dish prepared in fine oriental style.
Man Fu Yuan is a fine dining restaurant serving top notch Cantonese cuisine. The siu mai was excellent (if I'm not mistaken, there was a top shell topping with the usual orangey prawn roe). As for the other dim sum which I tried, the har gow was outstanding! A thin green layer of dough skin was wrapped around the freshest prawns. But the best part was the truffle toppings, it just up the antennae to a higher level. I have eaten many dim sum locally and outside Singapore and I can attest that MFY has the best har gow in the planet. Simply marvellous! Next is the fish congee, the Cantonese are well known for their congee, so it is a must try for me whenever I step into a Cantonese restaurant. The sliced fish was succulent and fresh (not the usual toman from majority of congee stalls) though I wasn't able to detect what fish it was. Anyway, as long as a dish is good, one doesn't really care whether the cow is from New England or across the border. Lastly, the stir fry prawn hor fun was just as good as the other dishes. Yes, every dish was exceptional. I was able to detect the wok hei in every strand of noodles and it was fiery. The wok hei skill from the chef made the dish heart warming. To wrap up this meal, I want to praise the chefs for cooking up a fine Cantonese meal for my palate and the waitresses (this goes out to Maggie especially) for their detailed attentiveness rendered during my dining experience. MFY, you are one of the top notch fine dining Cantonese restaurants, so keep the flag flying high. 👍👍
The flambe pork ribs was delicious. It was already appetising just witnessing the preparation itself.
The duck meat vermicelli was tasty and deep flavoured. It paired well with the rustic tasting Oriental tea.
The service attendants are attentive, very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
Overall good experience. The ambience is good, and the food is good too. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Service slow and though food is fine not extremely nice so over priced
Amazing food, but staff service leaves much to be desired. Stained tableware and napkins.
Enjoy the fried beef kway Teow which was light and soft meat. Taste is balanced. Service was great
We visited for a Birthday celebration. Food and service were impeccable. Thank you
The drunken chicken dish was rather tasteless and quite unlike how other restaurants would typically prepare it. Nonetheless, it was passable once paired with the right condiments.
This is our first time trying Man Fu Yuan celebrating my son’s birthday. A little disappointed with the set menu we have ordered. I feel is not value for money to the price we are paying. The seafoods are not so fresh. I’m glad the service is good especially Ms Joanne is so friendly and the ambience is nice. With Regards Jasarine Poh
Price is on the steep side. Food quality is alright. For the price they are charging, I’ve tried better food. Service was good though. And I appreciate that our waitress was attentive to the finer details.
The claypoy eggplant was a little too watery. Aside, the oriental soup was a great appetiser.
The menu was changed and the food portions were downsized. The assistant manager, Joseph, did not demonstrate a hospitable attitude when sought for clarification.
Excellent cantonese food & service. Highly recommended from our group of 4.
I visited the restaurant at 1:30pm, aware that the last order was at 2:30pm, leaving a reasonable one-hour window to order and enjoy the meal. However, the pacing of the service was notably slow. Despite placing orders promptly, the dishes were staggered in their arrival, with the main course—including the lobster—being served last. Unfortunately, the lobster had a gamey taste, which was disappointing. Additionally, we had to remind the staff about the soup, which only arrived towards the end of the meal. While the overall quality of the food was decent, the slow service and the unsatisfactory main course marred the experience. There is definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of timing and the preparation of key dishes.
Food was excellent , service was good . A bit pricey though
Service was splendid! Enjoyable meal with my family. Will come back again:)
Great food! Great service! I will come back again next time!
Food was great though pricey. Service was very disappointing. They seemed to be overwhelmed by the Dimsum buffet crowd. When my table requested for menu and informed that we were ready for order, the lady wait staff rudely lamented to us that she will need to do this and do that before she can come back to us for order. We were not rushing her or anything! Furthermore when she was pouring the tea, she did not preempt us and she simply reached over to the teapot and poured the tea whilst guests were on their phones. It could have turned into a disaster if one were not careful.
The eggplant served in claypoy was spicy and savoury. It went well with rice.
Very good food and friendly staff. Will return soon 😊
