Mad About Sucre is an unassuming inauspicious smaller restaurant venue with a gemutlich personal ambience, excellent service and a consistently crafted dining experience that is welcoming and comfortable. I personally think it is one of the best kept secrets in the Singapore restaurant scene. We look forward to Christmas Eve at Mad About Sucre in spite of the discomfort in the pocketbook. Not a complaint. Great atmosphere, great food and service with a smile, unpretentious descriptions and chefs who obviously know how to creat culinary Harmony in the kitchen.

My second visit did not disappoint - food was great with top notch ingredients and service was attentive. Somehow I felt this time round, I got better value for money spending around $110 for starter, mains desserts and drinks. I did feel the atmosphere was a bit odd with it being a little casual for the somewhat fancy food. Still will be back!

This is not my first time here, the staff are as usual very friendly. However, I made a reservation to inform that it’s for birthday and even requested to reserve a cake/candle. I have informed on two platforms. However on the actual day, they remembered the reservation of the cake but not the birthday. The desserts and tea pairing were great. Mains (foie gras linguine and ‘one plate’) are quite oily and overpriced. slight disappointment this time.

Everything single dish we ordered was outstanding; the sole fish was very fresh and I loved the tea blend. Service was warm and attentive. It was more than what I usually pay for a meal but for the quality of the food, the price was almost value for money. I'm already plotting another meal soon!

Food was spectacular- fresh tasting, superb cooking techniques to bring out the best of the produce used. The servers were very friendly and provided elaborations of each dish presented. Hot chocolate was the best I had - no sugar added and so thick you can scoop from a spoon. A very enjoyable dinner. Will be back for the autumn menu.

Had a delightful lunch at Mad About Sucre today. Everything from the Tomato Soup, Seafood Rice, Oxtail Penne and the Passionfruit Cake/Fruit Tea are excellent. Staff were very polite and professional. Indoor ambience coupled with the nicely decorated ID gives a very pleasant feel... Almost all aside from the WC... Its a little out of place. Price is on the high side though. Will come back again in the near future.
