Recommendation of food and wine was good. Quality of the tapas was also good. But for the main course, the lobster paella was a little too salty. Service staff gave us surprise birthday cake which was very much appreciated.
This was our 5th or 6th visit to the restaurant and as per usual, we were served very well and with no lapse in service. Will go back again very soon.
Lunch with a friend. Nice pleasant atmosphere. Pretty quiet on a weekday. Set lunch was good value for money. The smoked salmon appetiser was really nice. The seafood stew I had as a main wasn't particularly outstanding but the churros were very nice.
This is one of my favourite eating places though this is the first time there for lunch.. The food is consistently excellent, the service is good & the atmosphere is cosy. Will be back again.
Excellent food and really attentive (without being intrusive) staff. Great value for the set lunch too. Was full when we visited mid-week which just kind of says it all.
Food was good but ambience needs to be improved. Requested for table at quiet corner but was given a table in the middle of the dinner crowd.
Set lunch is value for money, big portion. Can share a set with 3 pax. Salmon salad and octopus is nice! Dessert is ordinary thou.
Very good service. Food quite decent although not spectacular. Would consider coming again to try other dishes. Value ok for the Orchard area but you are paying for location.
Great food and service! One of the best Spanish place. Am defintely going back again!
Food was enjoyable, especially the Mains which were awesome. Service was attentive. The ambience was noisy though, marring an otherwise lovely outing with my elderly folks.
As always, a lovely meal at one of my favourite Spanish spots. Gambas, good. Iberica pork, great. Squid ink calamari, yum. Service, thumbs up. Go with more people to share more tapas
The Food and service were excellent as usual.Every single dish that we ordered was good. We will definitely bring more friends to enjoy the food there
Wonderful meal there as always. Friendly staff, delicious food, & cosy atmosphere - what more do you need. First time we brought the little kids and it was great!
Wonderful meal at La Taperia as always. Great service, delicious food and cost atmosphere. First time we brought the kiddos. Happy to report restaurant is super kid friendly too!
My 2nd visit in a mth, i celebrated my birthday with a lunch on 3/4. I was impressed with the lunch set menu. Returned for a dinner with friends on 20/4. We had a good spread of tapas & mains. We enjoyed our meal with a good bottle of ted wine, will definitely visit the restaurant w friends
Servers were very attentive and food was great especially the tapas dishes were true to the recommendation on the menu. Nice ambience for a nice catch up with friends or family. Great service, definitely recommend to try out this place.
Great food, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Been here several times and always a good experience. Favourite dishes are gambas ajillo and burrata with gazpacho.
Good restaurant with great food. Service was very good. Ambience was abit quiet but quality of food was great! Food was served hot and fresh.
Great service, and excellent food. The staff were very accommodating and were very efficient with their service and were also clearly knowledgeable about their menu.
Excellent food and service; always lovely to go back and have a wonderful time. While the wines are a little on the high side, nevertheless...
Excellent food and attentive & friendly service. Loved the bustling atmosphere that also gives you enough privacy for conversations to be heard. I will definitely dine there again !
Lovely food and really cozy setting. Service was attentive but not to the point of being annoying. Definitely recommend and also go back again for biz as well as pleasure.
We enjoyed the set lunch which was of good value. The portions were surprising larger than we thought. The ambience was great for a casual Spanish Tapas restaurant and the service has exceed our expectation. Overall it was very good. We will certainly go back to try the interesting items we didn't have a chance to try today.
Overall very good food with good service. Just need to pay attention to chipped plate (the Pulpo) we had was looking a little shabby. Otherwise the special request for a birthday candle was presented very nicely on a strawberry served with the churros we ordered. Not forgetting to mention the special throw in, MARQUESA DE CHOCOLATE, on the house.
The set lunch was really a good deal with generous portion of food. However, the pork main course was really tough. Churros are still a pleasure to savour.
I've truly enjoyed my experience with La Taperia as all the food are so delicious. Specifically for the warm tapas and squid ink pasta are some of the must have for me.
Les Amis group didn’t disappoint. This quiet restaurant was tucked away on the 2nd floor and the set menu is good value for money. Love it that there was a lot of choices for starters, mains and dessert. Dishes were great, will come again!
Love the food. Service was excellent. Will head back again
The hype did not match reality. The sangria was like a fruit punch and the food was not outstanding. The only outstanding item was the cold cuts platter.
Always love dining here. Excellent choice of set lunch. $35 is very very good for the food and service you get! U won’t regret!
Cosy restaurant with nice ambience. Good meats esp beef and lamb. Enjoyable with friends and group!
Food portion kind of small! Restaurant a bit too small so are the tables, not spacious enough! Overall food is really good and price is ok.
This must have been my 10th visit to La Taperia. I love what they serve and I am never tired of eating the same dishes. Delicious food and excellent service. By the way, I will be dining at La Taperia again.
Superb food and service. Great balance between tradition and touches of modern technique. It’s my 7th visit in two years and it’s continued to surprise upward.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The lunch set is really a great deal! The octopus appetizer is the best I’ve ever had!
would have given it 4 stars if not because the paella was a failure. the rice was not cook through and the taste was meh. but all the tapas were delicious
The food was good - loved the eggs, and the lamb ribs are to die for. Seriously. Order them. Great service, they were gracious enough to change a dish when requested and also put a candle on the churros to help celebrate my friend's birthday! I'd definitely go back.
This is a small cozy spanish tapas restaurant located at a quiet corner of Shaw Centre. It is well-staffed with sufficient manpower at front-of-house to ensure a pleasant dining experience without unnecessary long waits. Staff were friendly, efficient and presentable. We tried the GAMBAS AL AJILLO which is de-shelled prawns with fried garlic and olive oil. This dish was so fragrant that I could smell it already when the waitress was still steps away from our table carrying the dish. The prawns were fresh and the proportion of garlic was balanced without overpowering the taste of prawn. I would definitely order this dish again. On recommendation by their staff, we also ordered the Zucchini with a deep-fried batter and scallop/crabmeat stuffing. My dining companion and I couldn't taste any of the scallop in the filling but the crabmeat was a generous portion. The deep-fried batter gave balance to the soft-textured zucchini and crabmeat filling. Overall it was a good dish. Our final dish was PAELLA NEGRA DE MARISCO - squid ink paella with fresh prawns and clams. The paella was awesome. The regular size was good enough for 2 pax. They were generous with the servings of prawns and clams and the paella was extremely fragrant. It wasn't too rich and heavy but yet flavorful. The last time I had paella which really left a great impression was the now-defunct Catalunya's Lobster Paella. I haven't had a good paella in Singapore since then, but this time, La Taperia amazed my taste buds with this dish. Love this place and can't wait to be back again. It's good for cozy and intimate dinner with a date or few friends.
The dishes were above my expectations and the archive was generally satisfactory. I'd definitely recommended this Isaac's anyone who wants a quiet/romantic meal with loved ones or a date.
Food is generally nice but the pork shoulder arrived cold. Perhaps it was waiting to be served with Paella which is the other main course that we ordered.
Food was above average however some dishes were abit too salty as mains eg, paella and the suckling pig. Duck breast was the highlight of the night as compared to the other dishes. Service was great. Overall it was a good experience. Thanks!
We had lunch set. Portion was quite big and very good. Service was very good too, very attentive. We will definitely visit again! Next time we would like to try some tapas.
Service was good and staff were attentive to our needs. Pricey for just tapas and a bottle of cava. Food quality was as expected, tasty and well presented.
Good foods. Friendly environment and service. Nice place to visit with friends. Lunch specials are well composed for the price and dessert was quite good.
Great execution on all their dishes. They really have good skill on the grill. Lunch sets give you quite good value, too.
Service was good; the manager William is as always smiling and welcoming, ready to suggest menu of the day. Food was served on time and most of it was delicious. The bill was reasonable. All in all an excellent experience.
Lovely and cosy atmosphere. No complains about the quality of food served.
It is one of my favorite Spanish restaurant. Food quality is very good, staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, pricing is reasonable. Downside is the space a bit on the squeeze side as tables are close to each other. Overall, one of the highly recommended Spanish tapas restaurant .
The quality of the food is good. Squid ink fried squid was memorable. Wagyu ribeye steak was excellent. Prawns in chili garlic oil was so fresh , light and goes well with the baguette.
Great ambience. If you like Spanish food, this is one of the better ones in Singapore.
