Really enjoyed this experience. The food was good and I retesting setup. Would like to try it again.

at that price point, the food cannot match up to other local offerings. slightly below par compared to your typical hawker tze char

everything is awesome! the food, cocktails, the ambience, the staffs. can't wait to go back.

Love the special food from Africa, that we usually can’t taste it at anywhere else. Their staff are friendly as well.

This restaurant has the most moody and beautiful decor in Singapore and the staff were wonderful. We enjoyed their cocktails, the music, the general atmosphere and the food. A wonderful evening.

Lovely ambience...great food...and to top that impeccable staff....was a great evening.

Enjoyed the food but service left a lot to be desired. One of your service staff speaks like a whiny 14 year-old, while one other staff member initially turned down my request to be placed somewhere where I wouldn't have to squeeze through a narrow gap between two occupied tables with my heavy backpack. the halwa tasted strangely savoury - is it supposed to be that way? why are your non alcoholic drinks not on the menu?

We had a brilliant time at kafe Utu. The decor is beautiful, the staff are friendly and efficient, the food is delicious as are the mocktails. Would definitely go back and recommend to everyone.

We have 7 increase to 9 pax. So was given upstairs sofa seat, cost and good for chatting like a big family. Lovely and wonderful service. Food was smaller portions and just ok. Nice deco to take IG pic too. Recommend.

Food and the place was amazing but the service was pretty bad. We were a big table and kept ordering more food because we didn’t know the portion size and they weren’t particularly nice or helpful.

Cosy ambience. Could tell a lot of effort went into the deco. Food price on the higher price but quite tasty. Was expecting more variety from around Africa like Ethiopian cuisine. Cocktails are the highlights, they were tasteful and unique.

Food was uniquely and tastefully prepared. Staff were warm, welcoming and anticipated needs well. Interior design and ambience was well crafted; very representative of African culture. A must-go for those who would like a different dining experience!

We had a pleasant experience, food is good , but what i like the most is the ambiance, the decor is very well thought of, the staff were very accommodating too.

Terrible service and drinks menu a complete mess/most not available.

We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing ambience, coupled with fanstasic service. The food in itself deserves top ratings. We ordered the Caribbean Goat Curry and Smoked Cassava Leaf Chicken Thigh dish. Both had a lovely kick to them - my hubby and I are both lovers of spicy food. The ox tongue starter was the best dish of the night! We tried their desserts - carrot cake (one of the best) and nakupenda (deep fried donut with soft serve ice cream sitting atop) and they were mouthwateringly good. We will DEFINITELY return. Special mention to Jonathan, who took care of us. Very charming indeed!

We ordered the fried plaintain and a few of the meat curries for dinner which were all great! The drinks were also very tasty. The cauliflower salad was a bit meh, as was the service. They could definitely be friendlier. One of the waiters brought someone else’s dish to our table and when we told him it wasn’t for us he just rolled his eyes and walked off. If not for the lukewarm service I’d have given it full stars. Kudos to the chefs and bar though!

If not the unavailability of the African beers, the dinner would’ve been awesome. They tried to be authentic but pleasing to every palate. Presentation of the dishes were good too.

Cool decorations, excellent service at this very unique café. I have been there for both brunch and dinner, and definitely will return for the brunch. Dinner options are plenty, but not very vegetarian friendly. Everything is very well prepared, beautifully presented and I can't stop saying: service is very good.
