staff were very friendly atmosphere was great food was good
Great ambiance and good quality Peranakan food - great for special family dinners!
Great food, great service. Took colleagues from overseas. They said it was the best meal they had here in Singapore
Nice experience and definitely will visit again in the future
We found the food truly terrific. Very nice. The $$ sign indicating that restaurant is modestly priced is incorrect. I would think it is $$$.
Service staff is friendly . Authentic Nyonya cuisine . Will be back .
Great place for authentic nyonya food. Highly recommended. Love it
Good service and good environment ~staffs there well trained and explain each of the dishes to us
Server nice food with good atmosphere place for lunch or dinner
I have tried a few good Peranakan restaurants in Singapore , however, IndoCafe has the fine dining element of Nyonya dining. Food is delicious, waitresses were attentive. Had a good time and enjoyed the dinner with family.
second time vist and still taste yummy. will visit again
Wonderful dining experience and I have put this place for return visits in the near future.
Felt pampered by the attentive serving staff and the calming "spa-like" background music really perks up our appetite! There were a total of 5 adults. We ordered all its starters: Signature Kueh Pie Tee, Ngoh Hiang and the Otah Klasik - served like Chawamushi (2 orders after we finished the first one in less than 5 mins). The other yummy dishes like Organic Ayam Buah Keluak, Wagyu Beef Rendang, Sambal Sotong and Udang Assam Pedas (King prawns with assam) were all superb Peranakan cuisines! We "squeezed" our tummy for its desserts - Chendo Panna Cotta, homemade ice-cream (coconut and vanila flavour) Guli Jelly and Bubor Cha cha. It was our first visit but will surely return for more.
Highly recommanded place for taste and happiness moment. Keep it up.
Excellent service and food! We ordered buah keluak chicken, chap chye, wagyu rendang as well as sambal sotong and everything was so tasty. I'd definitely head back. Before leaving the restaurant, I picked up a few Peranakan beaded items which I thought were beautiful.... they were all priced reasonably too!
The food was good and service was very attentive and friendly!
Good ambient with quality food served. Staff services is good too. Car Parking is free. Is a good place to host happy occassion and celebration evemts.
Love it! Definitely a place to go for Asian spread. The place is quiet, and the staffs are attentive and quick. Behold! The carpark lots are limited. ;)
. Food is somewhat on the lighter side in terms of spice, but I guess this would be ideal for diners new to Peranakan cuisine.
The staffs are extremely patient and very nice. Majority of the staff exude sincerity while serving and giving their utmost service attitude. Food is generally slightly above average, I won't say its really nice but it's above average standard. The portions are relatively small but it is OK because there are quite a few choices on the buffet menu. Overall, it is worth visiting at least once.
great ambience, decent service, food wise, its kind of good enough but not like the best. its just something u would just eat and move on. not like those u go wow its amazing kind of food.
The food tasted average with exception of the black glutinous rice dessert. We would come back just for the dessert as it was perfect. Overall ambience is nice but lacking in warmth and color. The restaurant could be a lot cleaner as there was a piece of lizard - - - - on our table and a few more on the window ledge where we were seated.
The Peranakan buffet dinner spread was delightful, with the popular favourites such as kueh pie tee, ngoh hiang, etc. Loved the interior as well. It was elegant and relaxing, so we could eat more. Will go back!
Food was excellent . The wagyu beef rendang was especially good. Ambience was good, suitable for a nice leisurely lunch . Service was quick , responsive ; impeccable
Wide variety of Peranakan dishes to order from. Portion per dish was ideal for sharing. One of the more authentic Perankan places I’ve dined at. Don’t be fooled by the old colonial house exterior. It’s really comfy and classy inside.
Good food and service. Nice ambience too in a black and white house that make it very homely feel. Price a bit on high side but worth it.
Authentic Peranakan cuisine that can be found in the colonial black and white bungalow along Scotts Road. We had the signature kueh pie tee, ngoh hiang, otah, hee peow tng (fish maw soup) and curry fish head which were all awesome! 👍🏼 Their chendol panna cotta, a spin on traditional chendol was an absolute hit too!
the food and items being sold are truly authentic, fragrant and delicious! my whole family love the food! (:
We had the buffet dinner, of which most of the dishes were Nonya and Straits style, eg. ayam buah kelauk and satay . The kueh and dessert were nicely done. Black and white house has a charming ambience and the service was pleasant. Restaurant has reasonable rates for corkage.
We went there for a buffet. The food wasn’t great for the price. Some food are nice but are not filled again After it’s finished. Although the staff are friendly and the place is quiet suitable for gathering
Very good customer service and variety of food was great ! love the kuehs ! Will definitely come back again and recommend this cafe to friends .
Food was delicious and atmosphere was good. There were only a few tables so the feeling was very cozy. Service was excellent and there's free parking.
Awesome place , friendly services . I’ll be back again . Food not too oily , not too sweet. Love it , will recommend to friend
My friend wanted perankan food so we decided to try Indocafe. We had the ala carte dinner buffet. Quality of food was good, especially the udang assam goreng, babi ponteh & ayam buak keluak. Slight disappointment was the chap chye as it was on the soggy side. For dessert, we had the burbur char char & pulau hitam which was a nice ending to a very tasty meal. Cosy colonial ambience that takes you back in time. No complaints on the service. Will go back again!
Thank you for the lovely food and great hospitality. We wanted to try the local Singaporean cuisin, and this is the right place. From the architecture, to the interior design and to the food, it's full of culture that we were after. The place is quiet and feels exclusive, and not to mention that it's in walking distance to Orchard Road, as well as their 5 star service. I will definitely go back again.
This is a very nice restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and decor. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. We arrived during a rain storm and they came out with umbrellas to help us into the building. The food tastes wonderful and there is a very good wine list. I have no hesitation in recommending the Indocafe to anyone.
Everything we had from the “buffet” was as fresh and delicious as one could want. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This was our second visit, with friends from the US, and they were as happy as we were. Best beef randang ever, love the kalamansis-dressed young mango salad, kueh pie tee, and the amazing condiment for the prawn crackers, not to mention the glutinous black rice dessert. Hope to get back soon!
Foods are nice and served in good presentation. service and environment are a thumbs up for this restaurant. However It seems to have limited car park lots.
The service was impeccable and the food was deliciously mouth-watering. We were in a group of 8 and had loads of fun trying out the various dishes and the desserts! Personally I would recommend the Assam Laksa noodles because it is not too rich in flavour (it would have been difficult to do a la carte buffet if most of the dishes were rich in flavour).
Ayam buah keras is the best I've had - must order. Great wait staff, kitchen a little slow for a Tuesday night, don't go if famished. The space is ultra echoey and we were unfortunate to be seated next to a table of 10 and they were rowdy. My ears might not have survived dinner.
Nice ambient, friendly and helpful staff. Great recommendation from waitress on popular dishes. Good place for friends to spend time together for a cosy evening.
Nice Peranakan food. A la cart buffet is price friendly but limited choice dependent on season. Not crowded with attentive staffs. Gd choice for a quiet meal.
Nice ambience and great food! The waygu beef was soft & tender which was well liked by both young & old. Pie tee was yummy! Tempted to even order 2 portions :p
Love the colonial style bangalow. Food is great, not too salty as compared with many other Peranakan / Indonesian restaurants. Adequate amount of services. Highly recommended!
Attentive staffs with good services. Foods are mostly ok. The ambience is great, however it can get noisy since the dining area is quite small.
quite pleasant ambience, service great. Suitable for foreign guest. not too spicy. however should add in more main course varieties. good for family reunion. will go back.
Food serving too small. Stingray is miserable.obvious attempt to cut down on food cost. Toilet smelly, has a musty atmosphere. No drinks provided for the buffet price which is disappointing considering the miserable size of the food portions.
It is worth the value. Very nice ambience. Can try their dinner next time. Great experience with them. Will visit again for lunch and dinner
GOOD AMBIENCE VERY HOMELY FEELING FOOD VARIETY WAS CONSIDER QUITE LIMITED FOOD STANDARD WAS DISAPPOINTING AS BOTH CARROT CAKE AND CHAR KWAY TEOW TASTES THE SAME BUT SERVICE RIGHT FROM WE ENTER THE RESTAURANT TILL WE LEAVE WAS REALLY EXCELLENT
The ambiance is very pleasant, calm and soothing. The service is attentive and efficient. The food was good. The char kuay teow wasn't oily. The white carrot cake was smooth. The bubor chacha wasn't too sweet. The oyster omelette was correctly done--not dry and not wet. It's a good place to take an overseas visitor if you need to impress. The ambiance and service make up for everything, like the prices. Valet parking available.
