Interesting chinese restaurant, food and good and ambience was comfortable for a group
had booked this for CNY.Good food, good service although crew is young. Will certainly go again.Challenging part is finding a car park lot
Excellent dim sum and service as usual. One of my favorite Chinese restaruant. Better than many other hotels and famous Chinese restaurants. Location is not so convenient but definitely a must visit
the food was quite good, service is also good, a bit expensive compare to the environment.
Location with proximity to public transport. Good service standard and good food with acceptable quality, will come back again for my birthday celebration in the near future
food & place is nice!!! the staffs are polite too. hard to find car park lot as the open car park will be fill up during lunch time. It can be easily accessible by public transport.
Ambience is ok. ..service is fine..the food is over priced. Hope they could review on the pricing. Overall experience is acceptable, will visit the restaurant again.
Excellent yu sheng with generous serving of roasted sesame and peanuts! Roasted pork belly was surprisingly crispy and tasty. Scallops with asparagus was a disappointment - scallops were not fresh.
Very attentive n good service & delicious food. Very comfortable environment. Near to Outram park mrt. Convenient location. Worth a visit. Suitable for group gathering
Love the quiet ambience (we went for dinner on a weeknight). Food was delightful, portions not too much. The place is ideal for intimate family dinners.
Went there with hubby to celebrate his birthday... very nice ambience and car park was right beside the restaurant.. however was a little disappointed with the food especially when the reviews raved about it. Not all was bad thought.. the crabmeat soup and cream prawn was great... jus not a fan of the three egg spinach as well as the fried rice... However, the special deal was that if we spent above $80 during bday month, we get a free lobster /crab. So we got e truffle lobster... it was really fresh... but again, didn't really agree with the method of cooking, kinda dampened the taste of the lobster... It's not too bad a place, but I guess I have had better...
Food was good, delicate and tasty. However, it was quite pricey for the portion. Dishes meant for "3-4 diners" yielded (literally) 1-4 mouthfuls per person.
Visited the restaurant for dinner Sunday evening. Interestingly, the place was well patronized despite the current economic lull. Eating area was nicely laid out, and pleasant enough for conversing while dining. Service was attentive. Food quality was alright, and we especially enjoyed the double-boiled lotus-root soup. Price-per-serving was perhaps on the high side though. Overall, it was a nice experience. Would be inclined to pay a return visit, but probably only for very special occasions.
A bit pricey but service is ok. Car parking is quite a problem as there are few lots. Prefer the tim sum which is good.
Better than expected food and great ambience for a birthday meal. Good customer service as well. We got a free lobster as a birthday special.
The food is good. The ambience and service is excellent. Overall a very good experience and will recommend for gatherings with Friend and families. Easy access from Outram mrt
Roasted pork and char siew are delicious, X.O. fried rice and seafood hor fun are fine too. My family Like the tou fu dish, served with free appetizer..
The food was good, especially the roast pork and char siew. A bit pricey for some of the dishes during CNY period. Attentive service staff. Overall a good experience for Sunday early lunch.
Grand Mandarina has always been one of my favourite Chinese restaurants. I have been numerous times and the food standard has always been the same good standard. I especially love the Soft Shell crab with pork floss and the Fried Rice with the tobikos. As for dessert, my favourite is the durian ice cream with red beans served in a coconut.
Reserved table for lunch on Sat at 12pm. Restaurant was not full. Service staff was helpful but could be a little more attentive. I thought menu was interesting and very different from other Dim Sim restaurants. Taste wise for most items were so so. Had the fried carrot cake but it was cold when it arrived and not crispy. The signature Char Siew looked good but when you taste it, it was coated with lots of sugar crystals. Nice but it did not quite melt in the mouth and was just sweet. I felt it could have been better roasted to give some meat taste.
Service was a little unresponsive at the beginning. Other than that, great time, great food. Must try the char Siew!! Skip the chrysanthemum tea though, it was more expensive than a couple of dishes!!
Overall experience is fine except that the portion can be a little to less for the price charged. However, staff is attentive and quite prompt to our needs.
The food was served as and when it was ready so by the time rice dish came the main dishes went cold. Nevertheless, whilst over priced the taste was authentic.
The food here is good and the service is good as well. The venue is very convenient with the MRT station nearby. Food is rather expensive here.
Good food, prompt service , good ambience as usual. They should really consider to open another branch, perhaps somewhere like UE square which would make it fantastic for me
Good service and very good food. The roast duck was nice but the soups taste a bit light . The fruit platter need to improve on the display.
Food was good. However most dishes have a fixed portion size. Would be good if they expand their menu to have bigger portions. Overall a good place to eat with family. It's a fine dining restaurant, so do expect the usual waiting time for a fine dining setting
Good food good service great time and will definitely recommend others who like Chinese food to come to this place for dim sum or normal meals
Celebrated my dad's birthday there and they surprised us with shou tao and a lighted birthday candle. Thanks all, you've made our visit there so memorable and wonderful. We'd be back for more dim sum soon! :)
The quality of the Pock Rips could be better . The service from the waiters & manager were excellent . Keep up the friendly excellent services
Been here more than 10 times. Good food and service . It would have been even better if members could have more discounts and benefits
Ordered Executive Lunch Set C $42.80++ per pax for 9 person. Food quality was good with sufficient amount for everyone. A bit of waiting for the food to be served although the restaurant was not crowded.
Went for Executive Dinner Set A, for 2 person at $38.00++ per pax. Final bill at $101. Quality fine dinning chinese food with nice ambience.
The service was good as they are always around to filled the tea when empty and clearing of dishes when finished was fast. The overall atmosphere was good and exquisite.
Good food with affordable prices. Must try the char Siew and the roast pork belly. Reservations strongly recommended as the restaurant can be quite full during weekends.
The food and service were good. And you pay for what you get so it isn't a place for cheap bites. The famous Honey Chashao was not to my like as it was too fatty for me but my friend said it was good. I liked the rest dim sims and I had way too much and not regretted. Be aware that everything is charged including the starter we didn't order, icing water, wet tissue etc. But I think that's the way in Singapore.
