While the rest of the world is waking up to Korean food, diners of Singapore have been enjoying it for quite some time already. And with restaurants like Dosirak, who can blame them? Dosirak is a modern Korean restaurant that focuses on bibimbap but, here’s the Dosirak difference, the bibimbap here is shaken rather than stirred for an even bolder flavour. What’s more, Dosirak takes pride in ensuring all its condiments and soups are homemade to ensure every dish is absolutely unique and good for you, too. You’ll find Dosirak Singapore on Tanjong Pagar’s Shenton Way, not far from Tanjong Pagar MRT.

Being a stone’s throw from Tanjong Pagar MRT, nestled inside Downtown Gallery, Dosirak is easily accessed from just about anywhere in Singapore and is therefore very popular. Of course, modern Korean food means modern Korean decor, which is exactly what you can expect from this small but stylish restaurant. In terms of food, however, shake bibimbap is the focus as we said, but you’ll also find seasonal guks (soups) and an impressive Korean tea list to complete the menu. Everything is fresh, healthy, halal and Dosirak also ensures that vegan, gluten-free and low-carb options are available. What’s not to love?

A signature dish at Dosirak is the beef bulgogi bibimbap with spinach, red cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots and onions, served on a bed of brown rice and with an irresistible signature gochujang. That said, Dosirak is a great place for diners to get creative and customise for themselves – simply pick a main, a base, five sides, any extras and sauces, then away you go. We’d recommend the seared tuna with five-grain rice and chickpeas as a very tasty starting point.
