Perfect pork and oyster Tonkatsu every time. Staff are friendly.
Loving the crispy bread crumble on the outside and soft pork Loin on the inside. The Anzu pork Loin has a layer of fat within so it will not be dry at all. Free flow salad from them, and all sets come with soup (miso or pork belly), rice and sesame for you to grind and enhance its sauce flavour.
good value for omakase. It's a much better value set than the other high end japanese restaurants. But the ambience and service, etc is definitely not as polished as the classic Jap sushi restaurant. Go for a good value deal, but don't expect to be blown away.
The restaurant is crowded and the 20 promotional lunch sets are sold off.
Anzu used to be the default place for tonkatsu, but the standard seemed to have dropped: despite asking specifically for tonkatsu to be juicier, it was still too dry, which wouldn’t have happened in the past. On top of that, the meat quality just isn’t the same anymore: tasted even a little “watery”. Perhaps the management or chef had changed. Very much disappointed.
Love the open layout concept of the restaurant, service was personable and efficient and food was very good overall. Wish the pork katsu could have a crispier outer texture but that's about it.
Nice food and great ambience. Have enjoyed it very much
It is a nice place to try out nice Japanese food.
Generous portion in terms of food. Katsu wee bit too thick and crumpy else flavor is alright. We liked that it comes with a salad for every table though.
