A truly amazing experience. Every single dish served highlighted all of the key elements of a well executed masterpiece.
1 Michelin star restaurant, but no longer helmed by original chef. 2 local chefs instead. But food quality is good and interesting. Staff tend to be a bit green tho
Lunch was perfect. Enjoyed the service and privacy between tables too.
Exceptional menu, must try. Only set menus which is the best way to enjoy culinary masters. Service was great, dine dinning atmosphere. Will come back
The ambience and service was good. The lunch set portion was a bit small because of 3 course though tastes ok. Next time wanna try dinner.
Supplements charged but not informed earlier. Food is generally ok, the wine is very reasonably priced. Service is good. As a whole, quite satisfactory only.
Had the set lunch. Excellent food and service. $10 extra for a glass of good wine is real value Bread was fantastic. Portions looked small, but packed with so much taste, that you will be more than satisfied.
One of the top Italian restaurants in Singapore. Doesn't disappoint.
The food was really superb and also my (many) dietary restrictions were taken into account with every course without compromising the quality of the food.
Small portions but tasty. Not cheap tho. I would return.
Very good food . Scope for improvement in service . On a few occasions I had to pour my own wine . If I get up in the midst of my dinner , the napkin should be folded and kept neatly on my table which was not the case . A small side table can be provided for ladies to keep their hand bags . The restaurant decor should be improved. The dinning chairs don’t look that great
Service and food were impeccable and excellent. We had the 6-course dinner with wine pairing. The only two shortcomings were 1) the venison were lower grade than we thought it should be (was a bit tough so we didn't finish it) 2) wine served was mostly French rather than Spanish which is a pity cos this is Spanish cuisine after all. This was quickly corrected by the staff on the spot when we gave feedback and we are pleased with the quality.
The ambience is nice. The food there is good esp the crispy toufu and chilean seabass. Vanila custard w gula melaka and berry is very refreshing. The fusion touch in the dish gives the unique combinatin of creation. Weekday lunch starts at $39++ is definitely worthy.
Went on a weekday for lunch. Service is excellent and the food is decent. The pasta was a little dry and perhaps more tailored to local tastes.
Overall a pleasant visit, love the truffle toast as well as foie gras toast.
The quality of the food was good and presentation exquisite. Tofu appetizer was awesome! Thumbs up to the service staff. They were very friendly and attentive.
Food is really delicious, particularly the crispy tofu, Chilean seabass, and beef ribs. Dessert is nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, the service was really poor. The restaurant wasn’t full and we were the largest party they had at that time. However, they paid us no attention after we had ordered, and we had to wait a long time (15-20 min) before we are able to even order wine or get our bread basket. The restaurant wasn’t even busy at that time. The wait staff often congregated at one corner to talk amongst themselves. I enjoyed the food but I don’t love it enough to brave the poor service.
This was a birthday celebration for my husband and overall it was a very pleasant experience and the birthday boy was happy. We took the 6 course meal and almost every course, including the snacks, was visually photo worthy and had most of us nodding our heads in approval and at the same time trying to decipher the flavors, tastes, and ingredients. Two of us in the party of 6 felt there was an overuse of truffle in too many of the courses, but truffle lovers like me will have no complaint. The Hokkaido scallop sashimi and and the lobster were very fresh and sweet and the venison very tender and not gamey. Although quite pricey at almost $200 per head for the 6 course set with one bottle of wine to share, we felt that the quality ingredients, the attentive service and the ambience of the restaurant is worth it for a special occasion.
Another super dining experience at Alma: yummilious food with good service. Each of the dishes are created with a combination of flavours to please the palate.
Great food + great service = great experience!!! Thank you for a wonderful evening! We had the 6 course menu with wine pairing, and were very happy with the quality, presentation and value for money. The maitre d‘ and the sommelier turned it into a perfect experience.
Service was the best I have ever experienced in Singapore. The food was top notch and the presentation just wow! We went for the wine pairing which worked well with the food.
great service, fresh and excellent food. lovely ambience. will definitely come again.
The Hokkaido scallop appetizer was excellent !!! For main course, I had the Mangalica pork. I have had this in Gundol's in Budapest. Their pork tenderloin was really tender. Yours was flavorfull, but somewhat tough at the edge without fat. The lemon dessert was very good. We ordered coffee, but you did not have artificial sweeteners (Splenda/Equal/Truvia) for your coffee. I would rate you 4.5, but having to choose between 4 or 5, I guess it is more a 4.
Tried this restaurant on a friend's recommendation. Their set lunch was value for money and the service was flawless. Rich and mellow flavours in their tofu foie gras starter; unfortunately the seafood pasta was overladen with oil.
A Friend highly recommended Alma knowing I was on a day off. True enough the food and presentation is excellent ... and I"d give the service staffs 2 thumbs up .. to complete the whole experience.
Excellent food! Innovative, imaginative and full of gastronomic pleasure. Service staff were cheerful and attentive. I have never been disappointed with my visits to Alma.
Expect to be taken on a fantastic culinary journey at Alma. The delight is in trying things that you normally wouldn't order in a restaurant. All the dishes were top notch, the service was excellent. We had the wine pairing, which worked perfectly with the meal. We also enjoyed trying to guess what the wines were and the staff happily played along with this. If you have a special occasion then I would wholly recommend.
Had a great time at Alma! great experience! food was excellent - great variety of creative food. Service is excellent. The waiters took time to explain the course.
Had an enjoyable lunch with friends- the 3-course set lunch was very good value at $39.90, with supplement charge applied for several options. Dishes were well presented, Service was attentive, but somewhat too eager, interrupting conversation a few times to ask/tell us something. Note that parking is not redeemable, and can get expensive for a long lunch.
The 6 course degustation menu with 4 paired wines was superb. Virtually every morsel was delicious. It's a great place to go for a special romantic dinner or to linger over excellent courses with foodie friends.
Food was good. Service impeccable Except that there was a bit too much Thai influence in the food served Would prefer a more Spanish flair
went for dinner and took the 6 dish set. the place is very nice, service very good. Regarding the food I may sound picky, the presentation is very nice but the taste is not always here. it's too cheesy especially the chef uses a lot of parmesan which just kill some other taste... out of 6 dish, 4 had cheese and 3 parmesan.
This is the fourth time I've dined at Alma and the Degustation menu never fails to surprise my tastebuds. The delicate combination of ingredients and garnishes brings out the unique taste of each dish. The plating of each dish is a state of art and one can sense the pure culinary passion of the Chef from the complexity of the dishes compositions. The ambiance is just right with a good list of wine to select from. The service crew is great and very knowledgeable, providing full explanation of what goes behind each dish. In summary, a quintessence experience for me. if you are driving, you might want to consider parking at Far East Plaza, a short walk to the restaurant.
Great value, good service, nice ambience. Crispy tofu, sea bass and bread roll were exceptionally delicious. Definitely looking forward to returning with family and friends.
