It was truly an amazing gastronomic experience, expect slightly longer waiting times
We had realy good food and time at Alati and my friends, in total 10 people didn’t like to move out. Giannis, Sophia and staff was excellent.
Love the decor and ambience. Definitely a good place to bring a date. Good and attentive service. Food wise, some hits (lamb cutlets and fish) and misses but overall it was a pleasant night at Alati’s.
Cosy and romantic ambience! Great selection of seafood and impeccable service!
Lovely decor, great food & service. Grilled octopus was excellent, and the salt baked fish served at the table was very nice. Thank you for a very nice evening.
We have visited Alati several times but while the food is good the service leaves a lot to be desired with some staff not being able to answer questions regarding the menu and no one ever engaging in customer relations including speaking to us on departure - wishing a happy New Year would have been nice but not even a goodbye.
Went to Alati to have a belated birthday celebration for a friend. Absolutely superb food. Topped all the restaurants we’ve ever tried in Athens, Hydra, Santorini, Mykonos, Crete! No kidding. The meze options were so yummy. The must try is the tiger prawn stew with feta cheese. The salt baked fish is truly their speciality. Surprisingly tasty and still so moist. The team reserved some of their lunch time chocolate dessert for us on request (pretty last minute I might add) as it’s the birthday girl’s favourite. Fantastic service, lively and fun atmosphere. What more can one ask for. We will be returning and not in the too distant future!
Good food, good service, good ambiance. Waiters were helpful and attentive. Food quality is fresh and well cooked. Strangely enough, coffee took the longest to be served.
First time trying and it didn’t disappoint. The lamb was great and so was the phyllo cheese thing as the appetizer. Great service but make sure you reserve a place as the place was packed
Had lunch with a client. I like the atmosphere with the whitewashed walls and wooden furniture. Gives it a nice relaxed feel. Had the sardines to start and the octopus for the mains. Enjoyed both dishes. Service was very good. I was surprised that last orders were before 2pm though.
This is not the first time I have visited this restaurant, The food portion remains small which I don't really mind but the quality is not fantastic. The crowd is good which explains the long wait for the food , desert and coffee being served. the coffee came after my clients left and the serving staff doesn't even have the decorum to apologise and offer any mitigating gestures. Guess this will be the last time I will select this restaurant.
Fries were amazing. So was everything we ordered on the menu - it felt like a breath of fresh air even whilst in the CBD
Nice food with some good vegetarian options, but sadly they were out of several of their wines.
Ambience is great and brought us back to Greece immediately when we stepped in. Prices are a bit steep for the quantity but overall a pleasant experience.
It was an enjoyable experience to eat greek in a convenient location in town!
Great ambience for a business lunch. The salad and yogourt were great but the seasonal fish was very average. All said, it is still a good set lunch at a reasonable price.
Wifey and I were there for our Anniversary. The place reminded us of the cafes dotting the streets of Santorini. Food was excellent. Now I understood what the fuss is all about with langoustine. While it took a bit of effort to get to the flesh, it was delicate and sweet. IMHO, much better than lobster. Brought us back to the time we were in Greece 10 years ago. Will definitely be back for more.
one of the best Greek restaurant in town, if not the best. This is is my second time there, I will definitely visit again one day.
Lunch with client. Nice pleasant atmosphere. Shared a grilled octopus and Cretan salad. The grilled octopus was excellent. The salad was so so. Had the chicken skewer as my main and I enjoyed that greatly. Good, efficient and pleasant service. Pricing is reasonable.
Truly the best Greek food around as most reviewers rate it. Had the fava, kalamari souvlaki, garides saganaki, octopus & spanakopita. These were the best dishes we had last night. Also worth mentioning was the fantastic bougatsa for dessert.
Lovely restaurant in Amoy street. The white décor - walls and furniture, paintings of local scenes in Greece, bottles of olive oil strategically placed on shelves, give you the impression you have been transported to that country. Service was excellent and attentive versus intrusive. Gave good advice on choice of wine and of course food delicious. Situated in a interesting part of town close to many other restaurants and bars
Good service and real Greece environment. Good taste authentic. Will recommend to others to try and experience there. Keep it up the good work and serving delicious food
Nice food and staff are friendly. A nice Greece theme ambience restaurant. Good place to have dinner with your loved ones. Prices are slightly expensive.
Very fresh seafood & fabulous taste. My favourite dishes for the night - xtapodi (grilled Greek octopus) & Karavides (Sweet gigantic prawn). Highly recommend for couples & family. I’ll be back.
Food was great, and staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Fish took a little long to arrive, but all the other dishes were amazing. No gripes, second time here and would come back again!
Awesome set lunch, very fresh and flavourful, also beautiful surroundings!!
Amazing food, great service. Love it here, it always delivers on quality and atmosphere. Had the set lunch menu which is great value for money.
The food is great and the atmosphere is great. The lunch set is incredibly value for money (3 course). The cold platter and the squid dish are amazing. Do order those!!
Good service with the servers making an effort to explain each course. Not forgetting, the food was of excellent quality at not so steep prices.
Everything we ordered was just spot on. The yummy food more than makes up for the service. The staff wasn’t rude but I did not feel their hospitality. Except for the lady server who is adept and has a better knowledge of the menu, we were having difficulties understanding and wondering if we were understood as we approached the rest with our queries and requests. But it’s not a biggie, it got better through the night as the food speaks for itself.
We dined here for our wedding anniversary last year and the service and food was outstanding. The chef came out to chat with us. We went back for our anniversary this year and were unfortunately disappointed as the service was quite impersonal and the food was just okay. Salad was fresh but the moussaka was dry as though it was just re heated. The waiter just replaced our bottle of sparkling water without asking us and we got charged for two bottles on the bill. We’ll try somewhere else for our anniversary next year.
My friends and I enjoyed our dinner very much. Our waiter recommended spanakopitta as our meze. It was delicious traditional spinach pie. We also enjoyed the grilled greek octopus with its vinegared onions and confit tomatoes too - love the grilled bits of the octopus. The fresh catch section - we chose tsipoura and tiger prawns. The sauce with the tiger prawns was so tasty that we ordered toasted pita to enjoy the dish. The tsipoura was gilt-head bream which we chose it to be salt-baked. It was interesting to watch the presentation of cracking the salt-caked bream when it was ready to eat. The fish was fresh and delicious. Our waiter has paired our Alati signature salad with the bream. The salad was so light and fresh. It was a very enjoyable and delicious first time Greek experience !
Every dish we tried was good! Service was attentive by the crew & ambience is fantastic. Music was not overly loud n just nice for a cozy dine.
Great food and love the ambience! A little pricy but good for a fancy meal. The tzatziki is my favourite! Also a reasonable number of vegetarian options although most are dips and sides.
All meals were delicious and sophisticated. The ambience is relaxed but stylish, so any occasions are acceptable except taking with kids. I'll definitely visit the restaurant again.
We ordered the fresh fish and decided to have it baked. The salt baked fish was out of the world! It was a good portion three of us.
Service was nice and food was good. Some min hip up But they fix it well. My 2nd time there. Will go back again for the food.
Cosy ambience and tasteful Greek food! Freshly baked bread dipped into their extra virgin olive oil harvested from Greek peaks prepares you to a delicious journey before your main dishes. I have tried king prawn and octopus and loved it. Larger portions could be better but still you will definitely enjoy.
The beauty of simplicity in the atmosphere, delicious food, high quality, professional and friendly staff. I could kill for that taramosalata. The overall experience is superb. What else could you ask for a restaurant?
Enjoyed the dips and salads as usual. The minced beef was a bit salty. Grilled fish perfectly done and already deboned. Service though was sloooow.
Attentive service staff. Delicious food. Will be back to try other dishes. We didn’t have any dessert as the dishes we ordered were cheesy & rich. Might go easier on the mains next time to make room for dessert.
This is my 2nd time back to this restaurant and this time round, I brought my hubby back. Food was great and service is superb. We had no room for dessert, however they brought out a complimentary greek fried donuts with a candle in it, along with their Mastiha liqueur as it's our wedding anniversary. Their white walls along with the splash of blue really gives it a Greek feel. Food was kinda pricey but it's worth it as we had a wonderful night as we get to enjoy good, authentic Greek food. Yums! All in all was great except with a minor paint smell lingering at they have just re-painted their interiors.
Great food. Great service and great value for money. Staff are very friendly and intuitive. It is also nice they remember on your 2nd visit.
The food was good, especially the lamb dish. Tender at every bite. Highly recommend.
Great food great service and outdoor table was great. Highly recommended for a lunch meal. Veggy dishes especially tasty. Good for work lunch too. THanks
Today the service was poor - generally slow and food was not as good as experienced previously. For one of my clients, the order was also incorrectly taken and eventually his food arrived just as we were leaving, so he had to parcel it out. 😩
Portion of food is quite small compare to the price. Peta bread should be bigger with $4 price. Overall tastes and services are pretty good.
The decor of the restaurant is nice and bright. Food is really good and fresh. But quite expensive, but if you are going there for a special occasion, its perfect.
The ambience is absolutely amazing! The food was great and the service was fantastic. It almost feels like being transported to Greece the moment you walk in.
Fabulous food and the staff were attentive and extremely friendly. I will definitely be recommending to others and I will be coming back! Thank you!
