As good as always. Great quality food and nice ambience. Definitely the to go Chinese restaurant for my office occasions. My bosses and colleagues love it.
Grand ambience with comfortable seats. Food is great and exquisite.
Location was convenient and the restaurant atmosphere was nice. The food was good too. The service was prompt and efficient. The team was friendly too.
Ordered Ala carte' Sweet and sour Pork, Garlic tossed Kailan, Roasted Duck, Stir fried Goruper with vegetables and oriental fried rice. The food was delicious. I told the waitress I don't eat pork, but rest of my team eats pork. She immediately asked the fried rice has pork and she recommended a different option. I told her to do the fried rice without pork and she said that can be replaced with egg. The warmth, ambience and location was very good. It was noisy during lunch as it was packed. Slightly expensive for set menu as it is $$$++
The beef was good but the other dishes were rather normal for their high prices. Their Lunar New year salted egg yolk cookies is delicious though.
Took the set lunch $38. Noodle soup n fish with prawn were good. Having reserved 2 days ahead and the a few booth seats were unoccupied , one booth seats was occupied by 2 ladies only, the manager told me booth seats were reserved ( not stated on the table) until I firmly told him I made my reservations 2 days ago. Then he reluctantly led my gf and I to the booth seats . For $98 lunch, I would have treated my gf to another restaurant and eat to our hearts content . In short, the selling point is the booth seats, small portions of food for the price paid
Nice environment for good dim sum. plus point that it's in the national gallery so we could visit the exhibitions after our meal. Will back for again!
Everything was a breeze and food was excellent ! We thoroughly enjoyed the dim sum .
Good food as expected. The hainan chicken rice dumplings is a surprising for me and my friends
the food and service were superb. my entire family enjoyed themselves very much! the proportion of food was just perfect. will definitely visit again! cant wait.
good service, my third time here. will come back again
Best Perking duck, prawn dim sum and really comfortable seats
Food was fantastic. Especially the tim sum siew mai. But portion could be bigger. Interesting location away from the crowds at National Gallery.
The environment of the restaurant was great. Service was really good too. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, variety of the menu was limited. Do include more dishes!
Went there for a gf wedding dinne before N love the food. Went back today to try the lunch and dimsum. Great service and great food.
Food is good and the service is not bad They change the plates regularly. Price is reasonable and the venue is good. My 3rd Times there
Great food and services! Thumbs Up!!! Visit twice in a week
Went on the PH. The service is good and the portion given was generous. Will good back again in the near future. Recommend the thousand slice tofu.
The food is very refined and of high quality. Though it is not cheap, it is worth it especially for sunday dim sum lunch. That said, the dim sum menu and choices are quite limited and could be expanded.
Cool, service was good and food tasted yummy yummy yummy
Great food, excellent service! The staff were really nice to us.
Food was alright. Some hits and misses. Gave a lower rating as the restaurant manager of the evening was rather curt with his service which affected the dining experience.
Good food and smiley staff. Only expensive dish was a bowl of soup costing $98. Each small bowl.of soup is $14. Ty Cheers Dennis Tan
Love the Peking duck and steam dim sum with abalone! Missed more than hits though - chilli crab bun combination was odd, pulut hitam desert was not fantastic
Ambience is good. Food quality & presentation is very good. Pricing is acceptable. Service is slightly underwhelmed perhaps due to inadequate staff. Would visit again.
A bit noisy during lunch hour and overall was pleasant. But not for business lunch
We were to our table without any delay although they were busy. The waitress was polite and her recommendation of the dishes were good, esp the peking duck. Overall we were very satisfied.
We ordered 2 bowls of chicken broth with fish maw. Small portion for the price of $22 and the soup is not hot. The serving is also very slow on a Sunday night. Peking duck is good though
love the service n ambience. food was not bad and worth it due to entertainer
Quiet ambiance. The dishes are delicious and service is good. We love the peking duck, the spicy sichuan seafood in coconut soup is a must try if you can take spicy food.
food and service was good... but wrong order taken so wrong dish was served. Ambience and decòr very nice... but side plate was stained and dirty after changed new one
Very helpful staff who gave recommendations and were not pushy at all. Food was delicious and ambience was great. Thanks Yan for a wonderful experience! :)
Excellent in all aspects. We went to Yan for my dad’s birthday dinner. The food, including the pickles served before the main meal, was very much to my dad’s liking. Service and ambience were thumbs up as well. Went back the next day for dim sum lunch!
The Restaurant is located in a nice location. However the food is mediocre and service lackluster. Not much smiles from the service staff and when we request for more tea or water. Food seemed like it was put together haphazardly. Do not be fooled by the cover photo of the yusheng. The yusheng tho tasty, presentation looks like what I can get at a tze char store. Definitely won’t be returning. There’re other places with better food and service.
Very nice environment with private rooms for business lunch setting. Despite being a chinese restaurant it is not noisy even in the open area. Value for money
Good recommendation of food by manager. Complimentary longevity buns were presented beautifully. Definitely a good meal place for family gathering. Will visit again for next birthday celebration.
Nice and quiet ambience. Food recommendations was good! Love it!
Always a lovely time spent at Yan. A change in menu would be nice
Good food nice ambience, attentive staff and prompt services . I noticed the Peking duck dish was nicely presented to the diners by service staff without having them to do on their own.Good Service indeed.
Slow service. But food is good- It was my birthday and they bothered to bring out two Pao with a candle. Than k you very much
Good food and excelletnt service from the staff. Peking duck is great. Recommended dishes by the manger did not disappoint too. Would be perfect if they have something extra for the birthday girl/boy as we are celebrating a birthday there.
Food is very good .....ambient is cosy and nice . Price is reasonable. My guest enjoyed the dinner very much and will certainly visit this restaurant again.
The service was great and the food is excellent! This is my second visit and it has been consistent so far. I highly recommend this restaurant
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Yan. Food was excellent and service staff was friendly and attentive. Birthday person received a pleasant surprise. Recommended for a great experience.
The environment is very tranquil, situated on the 5/F of National Gallery. We tried many types of dim sum. Xiao Long Bao and Shrimp Dumplings were the best. The rest were average.
The foods were good. Probably because on weekday so lack of staff attend to your request. You have to wait or wave for few times to get the attention.
Nice place but tiny servings of food. Only the top management staff and the lady serving us were genuinely friendly and nice. The "supervisors" were a tad condescending. Don't think I'll return with family.
We saw that other tables were given a warm towel after their meal but they left us out. Basically after they served our dessert, no one bothered to attend to us.
Was there for lunch. Not a very big restaurant but loved the ambience and decor . Decent array of dishes and especially liked the hot and sour soup served in a coconut. Food quality was of a high standard. Pity that service leaves little to be desired. No greeting on arrival nor thank you/good-bye even from the restaurant manager, who looked quite frazzled. Difficult to get attention for service. The brusque service attitude makes you feel that you're in a HK tea house rather than a quality restaurant. Hope to see an improvement in my next visit.
Very nice ambience especially the private little covered booths that line each side of the restaurant. The large private room is rather stark and not as beautiful and not private at all but still charged as a private room with minimum spend. Doesn't make sense. Seems to have a lot of regulars. Portions were quite small, not really enough for 4. Menu not much choice and not transparent. Mostly live seafood at market prices. Most of it was served in individual portions. Presentation of the shared portions were just thrown together on the plate. Beef cubes were over tenderised and had a strange texture. Peking duck skin not very cripsy. Duck meat 2nd course just served as is slightly dry. Did not acknowledge wedding anniversary even though stated on reservation.
