Food was below average, food items overpriced. Not worth the visit.
Great place for various sort of gathering with grear food and stage performance!
Kids and folks enjoyed the dishes recommended by the friendly staff.
good live band however food was not fantastic. strength of alcoholic drinks were also inconsistent
Food so so, sashimi super small pieces for the price. The rest of the food still ok.
Skewered meat was a little too over done. Food prices were on the high side for small portions
Overall experience not too bad.... It will be good if prices are more friendly ...
Food is of good quality. Live band was good. Just that it is a little pricy
Food standard was not as good as previous times. Upset.
Celebrated my colleague Birthday on. Tuesday night. Quiet and cosy ambience! Overall, great service and food. Recommended to go.
As always, went back for the food which is great and value-for-money (the lunch set). But be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes for the food because the restaurant is typically not a lunch place, but an izakaya/dinner place.
They have two lunch offerings (ask for the lunch menu) which are value for money and worth the visit. The only thing is that the waiting time was a tad too long, almost half an hour, but that could be because the restaurant had only just opened for business.
They have two choices for lunch, two types of bentos and they were value for money! The only thing was that we waited 40 minutes for our meal unfortunately.
Ambience was good but I have some reservation on the food quality.
Pleasant atmosphere, most importantly the food was fresh and delivered adequately. The salmon avocado cocktail was definitely memorable! Great for groups and casual dining
That was one of the worst places I ever been in Singapore! Service is terrible, food inedible and the place is more than filthy! It would be a disgrace to Singapore if any Japanese visit that place!
The food is great..taste good and fresh. Environment is good and clean. Price is above average but considering the quality. I would say is reasonable.
Great food and atmosphere. A little pricey though but the quality is good
Nice place to chill out. Good service from the service staff
Very authentic Japanese food. Great staff, very helpful. Highly recommend
This place is over priced and totally not representative of typical Japanese hospitality. Service is terrible. You need to stand on the table and wave your hands to get their attention to be able to place any order! And the food is totally not worth the price. Save your time and money by giving this a miss.
Food is not too bad except that there things don't seem to be updated there. Although they are no longer accepting payments through Miles app, the posters are still in the store, so rather misleading.
Great food, ambience and location. Suitable for frens gathering. Like the kaisen (seafood) grill and the ginhara terayaki fish the most. Will return again next time.
We were enjoyed all kind of foods . Everything very tasty and service was very good. Staff was friendly as well. We love to go back there.
Have been coming often as I like the big space in this restaurant. Food is normal. Staff need more training I guess.
Love the very spacious space for dining with big groups. The place is not noisy and nice to have long session with friends over a beer.
Great food n sake. Environment is good for both big & small group gatherings As well. Service is great & friendly as well. Will definitely go again
Happy hour beer is cheap and food is not bad too. Is quite quiet on a Sunday evening, not noisy and good for gathering. Will come again
Nice location by the river. Great place to chill out.
Quite spacious seating and 1+1 Sakae promotion is value for money I believe. Quality of food generally acceptable. Floor seating with back support should be much better
Staff was mainly busy and was not able to attend to us when needed
This was my first time there and I’ve always been a fan of one other very good Japanese restaurant. However tonight I was open to trying other places because my favourite had fallen from my esteem. And I’m Glad I did. Restaurant surrounds were very good. It was nicely done up and tasteful, though a little dated. What else would you have in a Japanese restaurant but sashimi! And we concentrated on that. Fish was fresh but not the most fresh ... but it’s not going to give you problems. Overall I enjoyed it but it was really the company at my table that made the night!
The food is great and location is excellent. A little pricey but for the quality and the location I guess the price is acceptable. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
The waiting time was horrible. Went with some colleagues for lunch with good intentions as a farewell for one of us. The restaurant was empty so we thought ok great we could have a good lunch with minimal crowd. However, the food took 45 mins to 1 hour to serve (mind you, we mostly ordered bento sets), there were dead cockroaches on the dining area, and the service staff were unhelpful by brushing off to say that the kitchen is preparing the food (for one hour). Because of this long wait at the restaurant, it snowballed and ruined our schedules for the rest of the day as we were late for our subsequent meetings. Overall the food wasn’t good (a few of the bentos was partially cold and the miso soup was really off though - tasted like aged kettle water), the waiting time was truly unacceptable for the number of diners in the restaurant at lunch time (10 pax). Bad bad service.
The ambience was good. The food was great too but a little tad expensive.
The view by the window was magnificient and service staff was very good. We had 14 of us and we all had an enjoyable evening.
Food was fresh and good. Service excellent. Nice ambience and more importantly my friend from the States loves it very much . Good place for expats to dine
Good food, price a bit on high side. Nice and descriptive selection of sake. Food are served quite fast. Great location to sit down and chat.
Good atmosphere and nice deco. Main dishes are good, but the grilled sticks were served cold, quite disappointed about it, alcohol selections could be more
Outside seating is cooling and smoking is allowed. But speakers hanging above our table is very dusty and playing music too loudly. Wait staffs aren't very welcoming. Food was great though
Food so so only, a bit over priced for the taste and quality. Service also not so fantastic, just basic, there are other better izakaya around, no wonder there isn’t a single Japanese customer around!
The menu selection is extensive! You can find all sorts of japanese dishes from yakitori to tempura to sushi AND more. Food portions were more than expected (bonus!) and prices can be deemed reasonable or a tad pricey. Ambience is bright inside and decor is to the theme. Only thing was they did not know how to let me offset my points. Even though they could not help with that, they were trying to help nonetheless.
There was a large variety of food. Quality was ok. The oden was nice. Service was quite slow. But nice atmosphere! And the location was great.
Food and ambiance is good, service could be better. The shop is too understaffed and the place could be cleaner too. The service and food prices doesn't justify it's cost.
The service was really slow despite there barely being a lunch crowd. Perhaps, it's better during dinner service? But it has a good lunch deal.
Excellent food and great ambience yet again. Tomo has changed the menu a little since I was here last year, but overall quality remains great. Try their Tonpei-yaki or Kimchi Buta fried rice - good value!
Overall a good place to be for casual Japanese dining. Lots of variety in terms of food choice. Service is generally prompt. Went on a weekday evening and there wasn't much of a queue.
It was a pleasant lunch with good food and service even though it is a Sunday. Will be back again in future. Nice decoration too!
The environment was nice and cozy. There was a huge selection and variety of japanese food to choose from which is great. Although the quality of the food is so so for some. Salmon belly is nice thick and fresh!
It's was a unique experience, they gave us a surprise by making a birthday rice cake, when we make the reservation for dinner, mentioning was for a birthday. attentive service staffs,friendly..nice vocal for the live band, even sang birthday song when the cake was approaching to our table..will recommend friends there for our next gathering!
