The Rice Table

The food was very average. Dishes sometimes came out lukewarm. I kept asking for perkedel refill but it never came and I wonder if they were out, but just did not communicate this.

Food standard is great as always. Enjoyed every morsel of it. Also appreciated the staff for calling to make sure we were able to make it before the last lunch order at 2.15pm! Sedap!

The food was a little too cold n there was really no service at all. But I must say the food is great! Taste awesome!

Nice food and value for money. They called to remind about the reservation. The only hiccup was wrong table arrangement. They asked us to move to other table 15 minutes after we were seated.

All the dishes were amazing. Loved beef and fried fish :) the ambiance was nice too. def worths the price and even more. Highly recommendable

Service was bad. After servicing the first round, the 3 waitress in the restaurant could hardly be seen around. I had to walk to the kitchen area ( where they were gathered talking away) and asked for refill. The lady who came to refill gave a very disgusted look at us.

Foods was excellent. Is a good location for gathering and catch up with friends. It will be good if there are more choices for drinks 👍👍😊

Only one server was cheerful. Brightens up a meal when servers are smiley! Good to include a drink or dessert at an extra cost. Otherwise good!

Reservation was straight forward and easy. Great for gathering. Food was served quite fast. Satay and Taohu Goreng especially nice. Will come again. Yum Yum.

Great food but service could be improve better. Nevertheless would still recommend this to my family and friends. Address was not easily available on line and had to take the extra step to google and find out

Restaurant is good ambience, if can more bright will be better. We're Impressed their dishes presentation, very nice! We enjoy the food very much. It worth to visit again!

Food and service is decent at a affordable price. Would be better if they offer a free flow option for the drinks though, or to provide free water

Totally disappointed at the service level at restaurant. While the food was ok, the service level given by the waitress was bad. They seem not happy and pulled long face when we request for service. We even apologized for calling them for service. Will not return to the restaurant.

Food was fantastic and could keep asking for more if needed, unlike normal buffets where you have to get food yourself. Nice deco and friendly staff!

Food was great! Service not so good... staff was not that attentive when we needed to reorder of food items... slow in delivery... closer to closing time, don't see staff walking around to see if we needed anything.. .

The food was good but just a little salty for my palate. The concept of small portion is great so as to minimise wastage. The price of the meal is reasonable and I would like to try the dinner set.

Good food but place is really run down. Can see mold on the air con. Still worth a try as the food is pretty good.

I have been to Rice Table before, however, food was not as good as before. A lot of the dishes were a little over seasoned. Service was alright.

The other table was a bit too loud so we can't hear our conversation. Food is excellent. Price is value for money. Will recommend this place

If they could include sorting for lunch would be great! Sam also sotong cannot be left out in Nasi Padang! Do consider this for future reference.

Service was prompt and food was delicious! Definitely will recommend friends to hold small company gatherings there because my colleagues and I had a great time!

Food was delicious and service was good. Enjoyed the lunch with good company too. Ambience was perfect and I love how the dishes were in good small portions (you can order more if you like) and kept on food warmers.

We were there on a weekday for lunch and the place is not full. Food quality is average but the service staff is friendly and prompt.

Been there once for lunch and the experience was so much better. This time round - Food could have been better. Service could have been better too - the waitresses were not very attentive to us and one of the waitresses was quite rude.

Food is excellent and service is good. The only downside is a bit noisy. Not a good place if you wish to catch up with friends.

The food was great. Every served was placed on a hot plate which makes the food warm and nice. It would be great if water could be served as the food can be pretty spicy for some.

We felt rushed to finish and leave towards the end. And it was only 9pm then. The Wide variety of dishes were very delicious and we it to taste all of them

The spread is good and Food is yummy . The portion is small but refillable. It would be better if plain water is inclusive .

The overall was fine but the topping of food is on the slow side. Would be more appreciative if they could speed up. I have been a fan of Rice Table for years and the quality is generally consistent. The choice and selections are usually quite complete and there is lots to eat. We almost always replenish every dish, many more than 2 or 3 times. Always excellent are the satay, tahu telor and beef rendang. However this last time the beef was not as tender as usual and the eggplant could have been cooked a little longer. Appreciate that the shrimps they use are not of the frozen variety like most buffets, well at least not on this visit. WE always end up rolling out of the restaurant after the meal and this time was no different. Always a satisfying experience.

The service crews are very friendly and attentive. They will serve all the food listed on the menu for the first round. Subsequently order those dish you prefer.

Service is very prompt and the food was good. It want very crowded on a Friday night. However I think the food was too spicy for me.

Went in a big group..table was ready for us when we reach. Nice place and good ambience. Food is also delicious. Price is reasonable and location is convenient.

Good food, though dishes were all a tad salty. Service was a bit slow due to lack of manpower. But very value for money and you get to try a variety of dishes.

They have variety menue, and the taste is also good. Location is also good, it takes 5minutes from the nearest Orchard MRT station on foot.

Well worth the money at $18.95 for an all you can eat lunch. The quality of the cooking is on par (if not occasionally exceeding) other ala carte Indonesian restaurants. Service can be stretched at peak hours, so patience is a prerequisite for dining here.

Food is ok and there is room for improvement on the service. We waited quite a while but there were no one to serve us when we want to order more food.

I remember this restaurant in 2002-2003 (yes, that long ago) and it was stellar back then. I went back tonight for the 1st time in a long time and was mildly disappointed. The food was very salty all around. My Indonesian friend said that the food was not very authentic at all. 4 of us left moderately okay, but not impressed. I felt bad because I made the recommendation to all of them. The service was good. Ambiance was also good.

The booking I made was very fast and quick! No hassle of calling the restaurant and waiting for my to be picked up. It's immediate!

Taste of foods is excellent and the staff are very responsive. There could be more variety of foods or could include special dishes on different days. The selection of desserts is limited.

Most of the dishes tasted quite nice. The tauhu telor was erratic, 1st order perfect and fluffy, 2nd order super oily. Mostly let down by extremely poor waiting staff. Clueless and indifferent were their mantra. Was not served rice until we are 3/4 done with our 1st set of dishes. Reordering took even longer. Will not be going back until they get more competant staff

Coming back after 10 years brings back memories of the same great taste and nostalgic feeling. Love the food and the variety for buffet. Thank you for keep this authentic over the years.

Quality of food is good especially the Tauhu telur. But think the service has room for improvement - at times no waiter is available to attend to you.

The price i am paying per pax & the quality of food do no match. Quality of food =7/10 but ipersonally think it is really overpriced. The selection of food is what ican find in hawker centre Malay foodstore. But the price is surely not at hawker price therefore.

Food was awesome. Place seems to be long forgotten by people. Great place for cosy gathering with friends. However were waited a team of apathetic waitresses.
