The Rice Table

It's my second time visiting The Rice Table, the food is very tasty and staff is nice and friendly. The overall expereince is nice and I will definitely come back again.

Brought my overseas friends for Buffet brunch , we totally love the sumptuous Indonesian cuisine, especially the tahu telur rendang and belachan kangkong ! Superb Efficient service and friendly staffs!

Great service and food! Will come back for more. Too bad drinks are not part of Buffet. Overall a pleasant and quiet ambience for friends and family.

the food served was a bit more than the one served 1 week before that which is good but the serving tableware were chipped on the sides - not 1 or 2 but quite a no. of them. it'll be better if they are not used at all as I was buying dinner for my guest & it's embarrassing as we don't use any chipped tableware at home & definitely not with guests are around. it'll also be good if the staff ask us if we want more when they clear the empty tableware. quite noisy on both visits - not for business discussions if it's crowded

Otah taste weird, ladyfingers are not nice and satay is not tender as last time. If normal drinks can be free flow will be better.

The staffs were efficient in service and food was superb. However, the staff could smile more to be more welcoming and guest will be happier.

We had the Dinner Buffet. There were 19-dishes laid out on food warmers just to give the diners an initial sampling. Thereafter you only need to re-order the dishes that appealed more to your taste. The food was flavorful with some sweetness, typical of Indonesian Cuisine. Not overly spicy. Our favorites were the Sayur Lodeh, Satay Ayam, Daging Rendang, Achar Ketimun, Ayam Panggang, and Ikan Goreng. We also had Chendol, both the regular as well as the Durian Chendol. Cosy ambience, attentive staff and good service.

The dishes are well cooked and the kitchen is generally responsive to our buffet orders as the food is still warm when it comes to our table.

I’ve been to The Rice Table many times and the place never fails my expectations. I do wish however that they would serve water if asked rather than charge $2 for a 600 ml bottle.

None of the staff asked if we would like to order drinks. The 2nd & 3rd set of prawns & squid kept getting smaller. It'll be better if they give more rather than wait for us to keep asking for another 2 prawns each time.

Good spread of Indonesian food available. Suitable for friends who have minimal tolerance of spicy food. We like their durian chendol which has generous serving of durian!

Prefer to have dinner at Rice Table as there are more dishes. For lunch, there are not many varieties but still enough to fill up your stomach.

An absolute surprise - the food is so different and so amazing. I had Indonesian food before in a big hotel in Singapore and I didn't like it!! Mainly because I can take sweet and meat, and all Indonesian food I had was way too sweet! But Rice Table is so good - I am definitely going to go back there soon! The octopus, the fried chicken wings, the tofu, the beef rendang are second to none.

Great food and great ambience. Location was great, after dinner, we had a walk along Orchard Rd to see the christmas lightings. Price is affordable too.

Great selection of food and they are all kept warm due to the heater placed on every table. The fruit salad is surprisingly refreshing to have it with the meal. However the service could be improved.

Food and service is good. Two comments as follows: (1) The food is abit cold, even when served from the kitchen (the burner is supposed to keep the food warm and not heat the food up). (2) Some of the chairs are old and torn, the management need to do something about it.

great food. but the prawns and sotong are not that nice for the $10 extra of the dinner. go for the lunch spread.

Would be great if there is a better spread I would feel it's too less dishes. I wasn't full but I was already eating repeated dishes

The food here is really good. The Rendang was almost melt in your mouth and the squid so tender. They serve all the dishes at the same time and its quite a spread. Highly recommend.

Food was good. About 19 variety for dinner. Fried chicken, sambal prawn and rendang are so good. Unfortunately drinks are not part of the buffet

Food was average. Service was also average. It's not fantastic though. But there's nothing to complain about. Drinks are not included, and have to pay separately. Beef rendang, tahu telok, ladies finger and satay are worth to re-order, in my view.

Food was quite good, although service could have been faster. The portions are sized exactly to the table-- eg 5 satay for exactly 5 people. They don't allow ordering of 2 portions at the same time.

Food was served fairly quick. Wide variety of dishes. The okra, fried beancurd with eggs were delicious. It will be a good addition if the drinks were free flow.

Great value and good food. Service was satisfactory, considering they were short-handed. Only downside was restaurant is rather small so limited tables, and when full can get rather noisy.
