The atmosphere was pleasant and cosy. The food was in good portion and there was variety, in the set dinner that was ordered. The dinner finished off with decaffinated coffee which made the evening satisfying. 😊
Dining in a home feel setting. Lights could be dimmer to give a cozier feel, like in their Changi location. Know this restaurant for more than 20 years and we always come back on special occasions. Love the cozy feel and food is good. The boss is also cooking in the kitchen.
Great food - loved the antipasti, calamari, pasta and deserts. Definitely will go back
great tasting food. nice and cosy atmosphere. staff were attentive as well.
Excellent service by Amir - nice and quiet ambience on a weekday night.
Quality of food good. Good service. Friendly atmosphere. The food reasonably priced.
Seafood spaghetti is awesome. Service is a tad slow but overall acceptable.
We tried the house menu and liked almost every dish! The appetisers and pastas were very good. The side (calamari) was Super fresh too! Chicken was a little dry tho. Value for money.
Always a pleasant experience here at Porta Porta. My go to place when Im craving for pasta for sure 😊😊
It’s a cosy restaurant. Feel very much at home. Chef cum owner went from table to table to greet everyone. Price is above average though.
We were there for lunch, so the selection was smaller than it would be for dinner. We ordered a seafood lunch set and a meat lunch set, both of which were value for money and tasted great. At one point we totally forgot that there were more dishes coming up! The risotto on the meat set had a unique flavour to it (in a good way of course). The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet spot in Upper Changi and it has a great homely ambiance with lovely decor. The service is also prompt and friendly. Loved it here!
Excellent service. Good food. Neighbourhood Italian restaurant for family dinner.
It’s a nice place to hang out after work. We had a good time. Food is ok, perhaps because I don’t quite prefer tomatoes but my friends ordered all the tomato-base pasta :) I remember enjoying it more when I had my own choice the last time :)
Perfect. Just like the Porta Porta we know. Would love to see risotto in your menu.
New staff so service was lacking. Food was average and overpriced for overall lack of taste, presentation and service
Nice ambience and good food. Great place for gathering with friends
Expensive for a neighbourhood venue. Food and service was so so. Actually the ribeye that was ordered was smothered in so much sauce the beef couldn’t be tasted. The calamari was good though but a tad too expensive at $32 which included two prawns. Just an uninspiring visit. I wouldn’t go back.
The food took some time to arrive. Pasta dishes are still ok. But the meat/ fish dishes took a super long time. The chicken was the last to arrive. By then, all of us have already finished our meal & was ready to cancel the chicken. The 2 seabass main dish were under cooked. The 2 young waiters are good though. We like their service. But the food was a real disappointment. Especially for that kind of price.
Food was awesome as always! We have been loyal fans since the good old days when it was at Changi :)
Excellent Italian food in a quiet neighbourhood. Cosy and spacious restaurant. Watch out though, they may run out of certain ingredients / types of pasta if you go past 8pm.
The food is nice but a little pricey. The ambiance is nice after they moved to this new location at Upper Changi road.
Great Italian food and the set lunch is fantastic ! Lovely place for team lunches and gatherings. Highly recommend for Italian food in the changi area
impeccable service. food was delicious. decent portion. quaint decor suitable for small family gatherings
Excellent food quality with a decent portion as usual, the place is cozy and beautifully decorated, my family had a great gathering, highly recommended to all.
Was recommended by a friend, so my wife and I decided to patronise and had a 4-5 course meal for dinner. To start off, we had chicken and fish soups. Next, we had pastas and rosemary chicken, follow by tiramisu for dessert. The meal was decent. Heard that the restaurant will be moving to a new location after operating over 20 years. Hope to patronise their new location next year.
A very highly recommended Italian restaurant which has good food and cosy environment. I love the location, felt like out of Singapore, which may be ‘inconvenient’ to some, being tucked away in the sleepy loyang estate, opposite Changi prison.
We have eaten at Porta Porta several times. In fact, we were here for our first date 8 years ago! Food has always been great. Hearty Italian food at its best. 👍🏻
Beautiful cozy restaurant with very fresh, high quality, and delicious food, and quality service. I love the cozy, homely atmosphere. very family friendly and suitable for large gatherings. servings are generous.
The place was beautiful but the food was not as expected. For a group of 15, most of us chose the meat or seafood set lunch. Soups (@lobster bisque and chicken) wasn’t fantastic. For starters. Calamari was good but the beef lasagne was too mushy and blend. Lastly the mains. Lamp was dry and tasteless and Vongole pasta was dry and tasteless too. Very disapointing given that I had high hopes when I had dinner there some time back. They probably mass cooked for all of us.
We had the house menu, good for new visitors to taste more dishes. Food is delicious and well worth the price. Will come back again!
Great ambience and great food. Very small but a cozy place, full of eclectic stuffs to feast the eyes on. Nice to visit with family or friends.
Service rendered by Mr.Amir was friendly and great👍 Foods was all good too with reasonable price and nice ambience. Will recommend to Friends and go back for sure.
Excellent food, ambience, professional and friendly staff. Every time I’m in town I make sure I visit Porta Porta. Really love their authentic Italian food.
Rosie, the Proprietor, is the consummate hostess. The food quality has remained consistently excellent over the 20 years we've been patronising the establishment. The quaint and cozy ambience adds to the experience.
The food is above average, quite acceptable for the lunch set price. The staff there is nice, free charge of wine brought by ourselves on Wed.
It is a nice, cosy restaurant, with a great ambience. The place was not too crowded and/or noisy. They had soft music playing at the background that suited the entire mood. We had the fai te menu and the food was great! It was a surprise after another, and all cooked really well. The pasta we had was especially good.
The restauarant is very well decorated, feels like at home. The service is fast and pleasant, and the food is outstanding. We will definitely go back again.
i came with my family. Absolutely amazing food. Restaurant was always full. One of the restaurants with nostalgic place. Nice staff. i Will surely return.
We had the house menu and was wonderfully pleased with the food. The food quality was good, the waiter was very attentive to our needs as well. The only setback was the table was placed too near the door, so with the opening and closing of the door, the overall experience was affected.
Had the set lunch and food was average at best. Ambience was good though; very rustic European countryside feel. Service was very good too. Only decent dish was the calamari so go for the seafood set if you have to dine here.
We came for dinner and ordered the house menu. Food and service were really good! Enjoyed our time there. We will definitely come back again :)
Food was delicious as always. Chose the fai te menu. I prefer to leave it to the chef cos they never leave me disappointment. On the contrary, always wanting more. The portions are just right. It's not too much or too little. Will always be my favourite Italian restaurant. So authentic.
Requested for private corner not given. Requested for candles and birthday sign not given as promised. Poor customer service. Food too salty. Will not visit them again!
The ambience is good and the decoration is uniquely Italian. The service is exceptionally good. We ordered Antipasti Vari. The food is delicious and the portion is just right. Highly recommended.
Authentic Italian cuisine, comfort food, slightly pricy but worth it.
Not our first time at Porta Porta. Warm, personal service and good food as always. The place to go for authentic Italian cuisine. Will definitely return.
The food here is good and yummy & the ambience is cosy & quiet. Definitely a good place for friends to gather & bond together.
Porta Porta offered up a brilliant homely Italian experience - the service wasn't the best because it was a busy night, but the food more than made up for it. My partner and I ordered the 'Fai Te' set menu - akin to a Japanese omakase - with seven courses, and I thoroughly enjoyed the starters, ratatouille, and the soups. Complete your meal with a bottle of top-notch wine and trust me, it will make your night.
My third time dining here and still as pleasant always! Note that there are only 3 selection for lunch set ( meat, seafood and vegetarian). Downside is one cannot mix and match the items. Come in a group to sample more.
The restaurant is cosy and very nicely decorated, but the food was not as good as expected. The prices are on the high side for the food.
