the staff jean pulled a real grumpy face when serving. her attitude was not professional n extremely unpleasant. i used to love visiting kyoaji but never again
Foods are excellent and value for money! If the service staffs can put on more smile will be better
The food n service is good.Px is reasonable too.We would visit again! Wl recommend it to friends n relatives. If u like Japanese food,u should have a try...
Very normal japanese food at a rather premium pricing for the quality.
We had a set from the lunch menu. The food was fresh tasting and we both enjoyed the food. Thank you for the yummy experience.
Good quality food - we had the set lunches. My lunchmates said the sea bream and soft shell crab were delicious. Nice ambience, the wait staff were efficient but slightly surly. But overall a pleasant experience.
First time there and had lunch for 2. We ordered 2 rice bowls from the set lunch menu and sashimi moriawase alacarte. Bill was under $100 which was good value. Lovely ambience. Food was very good.
Food is nice, but restaurant space is rather small, or it was just our luck, the table behind were a group of Chinese, and the Chinese lady talk very loud...I think everyone could hear her converssation!! Anyway i like the quality of food, the maki with 3 kind of fishes were fantatic !! I will be back again!
This is my first visit there with my family for lunch. The lunch set quite reasonable, not crowded good for chilling up & having good times with friends. The fish are fresh & my family & I enjoyed the food there.
First time here. We enjoyed our omakase dinner. The lobster was cooked to perfection. The rest of dishes are also very good. Will come back again!
Had the bara chirashi lunch set. Although it was value for money in terms of quantity, quality taste wise was average. Staff was attentive and service was good.
Great service, good quality of food. The kani tofu and teppanyaki prawn is a must order! Lunch set price range form $18 to $35 are value for money and of good quality. Will visit again!
I and my wife have a big diarrhoea after omakase lunch yesterday. It's my first visit and my last one. Should have chosen another restaurant.
As usual good food poor service been here a no of times
Love th food, service is slow and the waitresses look grouchy
Very nice authentic Japanese food that is value for money. Prompt service with many delicious food served. I will definitely return back for more as it is also centrally located.
Nice food, and not crowded, quiet place to have dinner. Location is easy to find. Always refills drinks our drinks deplete. Recommend for small group of friends.
My favourite Japanesr restaurant as usual,no doubt! The freshness of the ingredient.
Kyoaji is one of my favourite lunch options. With existing credit card promotions, a bara chirashi don or beef don cost only $12 nett. They are very yummy too, which makes it even more value for money.
Good resturant. Recommended. Good food. Good staff. Good interior. Good people. Good drinks. Will visit again. Good prices. Location is good. It is on Orchard Road
Food was great & awesome value for money! We had the mixed sashimi platter for 3 & fish was very fresh! Celebrated my birthday day & lady boss was so kind to put a candle on my ice cream sandwich & even helped us to split it so that we could all try! Highly recommended!
Good service and nice food. Interesting menu with several interesting unconventional dishes. Overall a good dining experience and I would not hesitate to visit again
Brought colleagues and business associates there, and was given a private room which was a nice surprise. Lunch sets were affordable and tasty!
The service and food was ok but not really something to shout about. Ordered the bara chirashi and the bento for sharing. As for the bara, I’ve tasted better elsewhere at about the same price. As for the bento, it came with eel. I felt the eel skin was a little on the tough side.
Good food, spacious interior and staff are attentive. My pet peeve is when my drink dont get refilled, the staff at Kyoaji are always around and ensuring a full cup of green tea always.
Always my choice of Japanese Reataurant with reasonable price yet best quality ever!
Great food and service! We ordered the unagi set and chicken set. The chicken set came with salmon rice bowl which was very fresh. Will be back to try their rolls!
We ordered the $120 omakase dinner, personal verdict : not really value for money. While the sashimi were fresh, the cooked dishes were very ordinary, even the special radish sauce is ordinary. Service staff are not well trained.
Nice place to celebrate birthday. Special seating, good service and good food. Special mention to the Crab Tofu, Grilled Unagi and Beef. Will come back again!
Visited for Lunch about two months back .. value sets , fresh produce and good service .. will definately be coming back to Kyoaji soon.
Super nice good quality Jap food and nice ambience definitely coming back
Pleasant environment and food was good though menu was a bit limited. Will come again.
Nice ambience for a catch up with friend for some chat. Love the Salmon Sashimi and Kani Hand Roll. Finest quality with acceptable price.
Sashimi was thick and fresh. Loved the kani toufu that came together with the tori set lunch. It was a peaceful and delicious lunch we had.
Food quality is good but pricey even after the promotions. There are other omakase that is of better value and same quality. 1) Lobster is perfectly cooked. The dinner sets are of better value compared to the omakase.Ambience is good only at the counter table or else place can be quite noisy if you are sitted behind
Food was great and value for money. Will definitely go back again. Sushi and sashimi were very fresh. Staff were helpful and attentive as well.
A rather cosy mid-price dining place with unpretentious decor. We had the tempura/grilled salmon set lunch and the gyu don (with onsen egg). Both were oishii and would be good choices in case you don't do raw fish. Stangely, service is rather impersonal at Kyoaji - not even a simple smile to greet diners. Nor a warm cup of green tea to get you comfy while you ponder the menu choices. Just that robotic "irashaiimase" welcome shout-out; nothing else to thank or bid good day to customers. Very atypical of Japanese restaurant service! We'd rather patronise other Jap eateries which also serve yummy food and treat diners respectably, any time.
Quiet ambience and they serve good food. You can also expect great service with a smile on every faces. I love their toro sushi 🤤
All of dishes we ordered taste good. Especially sashimi (raw fish) and gindara saikyo-yaki are excellent. Their services provided by staffs are still OK though not so sophisticated enough.
Overall, convenient location, service was decent, ambiance is decent. I ordered a salmon sushi roll, eggplant seafood, grill beef with Foie Gras sauce, and garlic rice. The beef and garlic rice were good. Sushi roll was mediocre. Eggplant seafood was supposed to be good, but my eggplant tasted bitter. We feedback to the waitress serving us, she said "Oh weird, it shouldn't taste bitter, maybe its abit old" and then walked away. hahaha solid response. Overall food is good, service is okay but not excellent.
It’s a nice clean ambience! Overall presentation n food taste good except tempura. However the bento set serves normal n not sushi rice which I thought was a let down. One of the waitresses is clumsy dropping cutlery n never apologise. Had to also ask several occasions before our requests r met such as spoons etc.
A great place for get together with family or friends. Good food at reasonable prices. Chef owner restaurant so you get consistent food quality and attention to service.
Good food and good service at this hidden gem on the 4th floor of Centrepoint. Authentic taste and very fresh. Extensive menu and well though out sets/bentos. Will be back.
Nice ambience. Quiet. The food was beautifully presented and tasted great. Loved the melt in your mouth beef. The service was efficient and unobstrusive. We were celebrating birthdays and we had a great time! Thank you
Nice ambience and the tables are not too near each other. Food is tasty and really big pieces of sashimi. Very good value for the lunch menu.
Value set lunch; food was good and service was friendly. Would be good if they add more choices to set lunch menu. Will visit again
We enjoyed our meal and the service was good. The set lunches were value-for-money. This is our first time dining at kyoaji. We will come back again.
always head down for their kani tofu with the century egg sauce. found another new dish to go for, the cold fish noodles! Food has always be great and consistent. Good and attentive service crew with a smile always. kudos to Kyoaji!
Good services with great foods! Sashimi is fresh but a bit expensive. Counter dining is great as we interacted with the sushi Chef. Will go again.
Variety of lunch sets for weekday (not sure about dinner). I had chirashi everytime & never disappointed. order the kani toufu with the century egg gravy.
