Good traditionl teochew food. worth a visit. will visit again
The promfret fish soup is a star highlight! The soup is really tasty and the fish is fresh. The salted egg crab is quite well cooked and tasty. The oyster omelette is good but not as crispy as the previous visit.
Fast and good quality food despite the crowd and busyness
Food is excellent as usual. As a teochew, this is as authentic as it gets for a fraction of the price you get at bigger restaurants!
Good food. Need to book on weekends or u will not get a table. We ordered salted egg crayfish which was rather bland. Should have done Chili instead.rest of signature dishes still good
Great food. Every dish ordered was yummy and has the traditional teochew taste. My family liked it so much that we booked the next dinner gathering. Best dish was braised cabbage and oyster omelette.
Food served was fast and tasted good. Reasonably priced. Location is easy to find if you are familiar with the surroundings. Recommended for family gatherings and celebrations.
Excellent food n service. The cups of tea are never left empty. The must try food are the stir fried yellow chives with prawns the chai po last two and the pork jelly.
The food was pretty good and cooked in an authentic Teochew style. The service was not tabs as well. It is definitely worth a visit.
I read very good reviews from blogs and went with high expectations of good Teochew food. Most of the tables are in the atrium of a very old mall. For 6 people we were given a table for 10 placed against a pillar. It was very hard to reach dishes and we had to stand up in order to serve ourselves. Service is basic. Things are just placed on the table with no explanation and no help with serving. The food is the most important and we were mostly disappointed. The pork jelly was fragrant and served well chilled and the best dish. It was all downhill from there. The Haechow and liver roll was ordinary like any chichar stall. Spinach in superior stock was nothing we could not do at home. Braised goose flavour of the braise was quite fragrant but the meat was dry and tough, another signature Teochew dish done badly. The very large pomfret steamed Teochew style which cost $72 was overcooked, resulting in hard and dry meat. This is quite unforgivable in a Teochew restaurant! Chaipo Kway teow underwhelmingly tasteless. we decided not to order the famous orh nee as we all the other teochew dishes had been disappointing. We went away pretty disappointed with the experience.
Good food and value for money. Restaurant nested in an old shopping mall, with old setting but yet nostalgic and good quality Teo Chew cuisine.
First time for my guests at this restaurant. They enjoy the authentic Teochew cuisine especially the braised duck, pork jelly and the promfet porridge. Service is good and they did not hurry us to leave though we had finished eating. Will come back again.
This is my 4th or 5th time dining here and the food is superb as usual! Service was a little slower but that's coz it was crowded too.
first time visiting, great teochew cuisine and friendly stuff. pleasantly surprised that there was no service charge as well. fav dish was the orh nee!
Good food, reasonable pricing. Service was also fast despite the crowd. Will definitely recommend friends to try out the different authentic teochew food. The area is very spacious too.
Both my friends loved the food n serving was good for 3 of us !! Best is the halibut steamed HK style was the star besides their signature braised duck!! Authentic teochew food with reasonable price tag!! 👍👍
Quiet place for a gathering. Food was great, recommend the Kou Rou Bun, and the Yam Paste (Orh Ni), but not for those who do not like shallot oil.
Excellent food, very well prepared and tasty. Promfret was fresh and steam timing right. Suckling pig roasted and serve at the correct timing. Service staff were courteous and friendly. Pricing very reasonable. Will return.
Tables were set in a big open space, didn’t feel claustrophobic at all. Food and service was great as usual. Went for the duck and pork jelly this time.
The food is good generally. The braised duck is really delicious. The oyster omelette and cha kway teow is slightly dry. The OrhNee is good and not too oily. Environment is simple.
Very nice food and fast service. Will come again soon.
Food was good and fast despite the hugh crowd who were there for their reunion dinner Will be back again for other kinds of gathering.
A little bare but serve good food at reasonable prices. Difficult to find the location due to change of name of building. Exiting car park will need a NETS cash card with chip. Worthwhile to visit!
Decently priced Teochew food, great for a relaxed dinner in an unpretentious venue. Try the Orh luah, braised duck and steamed pomfret. Oh Nee is not too sweet. The only place I know that has steamed halibut.
Great food and excellent service! The fish is fresh and strongly recommend the fried keow teow. Must try the craypot fish. super yummy! Yam paste desert is special too!
Great dining experience and food is good. Ambience and service okay.
good teochew food. service staff were busy and forgot our order through.
Would be great if they allowed BYO. Otherwise, food and service are good. Location is somewhat out of the way. Hope to be back again.
Its my second time here. All dishes we ordered are tasty and my family members enjoyed the dinner. Serving of food was speedy and will visit again.
The service was really excellent with the foods were served pretty fast. I love the oyster omelette, flaming pork and fried kway tiao. You may like the curry fish too
Service and food are excellent. Went with my family, 7 of us, we all enjoyed our dinner there. The halibut fish is delicious and reasonably priced, the duck is good too.
Good food as usually the case. Quite crowded though but service was prompt and staff very friendly. Recommended this place for small informal gatherings too.
The food was good but we were seated outside on the left side and the air con was very cold. Apart from the coldness, the food and environment was good. Just need to wear a jacket and long pants if you are afraid of cold.
Food was great, service was good. Price was reasonable - there wasn't even service charge. The chilli crayfish we got was delicious. Would recommend this place .
Excellent food as usual. Go for the kway teow with chai por, halibut done in Teochew style, ngoh hiang and braised duck. The oyster omelette was a tad starchy though. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with the orn nee or yam paste.
Generally good. Loved everything we ordered other than the oyster omelette which was too starchy :( Will definitely comeback again with my family and friends.
Teochew Food is good. ..the braised duck , orh nee and promfret steam boat. The aircond in the bldg is very stong so bring a sweater
Overall food was good: Prawn Roll, Spinach with 3 kinds of mushroom, fish maw soup, steamed pomfret (fresh n nicely done), braised duck, fried mee sua and orh ni. Average price $28/person. Service was efficient n fast too. Highly recommended.
Authentic Teochew cuisine. Steam pomfret is delicious, braised pork belly with buns was yummy too. Sweetness of the orh nee is just nice. Will go again 👍🏻
We ordered the oyster omelette, braised duck, he-choh, prawns with veg, braised pork with bun n yam dessert. My dining companions felt the food was very good n we cleared all the plates of food. Like foodie terminators, we Will be back!
Great food, friendly and fast service. I highly recommend the Halibut with Hong Kong sauce. It is exceptionally good - the Halibut is flaky and taste like cod fish. I also ordered prawn roll and kong bak pau which were very good as well. And of course you should have Orh Nee for dessert :)
Great place good price. Not expensive great food and great place . Will bring my friends again. I like the ambience quiet , value for money
Nice food great place.will bring friend come again. Love it.
Food is great and tasty! Especially steam pomfret, braised duck and orh nee. Authentic teochew dishes 😋
My family and i visited a few time and were pretty satisfied but this visit was very disappointing. We ordered Chicken with onion n ginger which was overcooked. The spinach with 3 eggs was tasteless, pork jelly was hard, oyster omelette tasted kind of funny which I can't described. The mixed rolls, fried kwayteow, cold crab were ok. I asked the staff if the kitchen crews were changed but she said nope so I guess in was unlucky today. Will have to reconsider whether will wr patronise again.
The food is good. The must tries are Steamed Halibut, Stir Fried Kailan with Garlic, Fried Kwa Teow with Chai Poh, and the Fragrant Flame Pork.
The food is of good quality . I have tried 6 dishes. My favourite dishes are the promfret fish soup , the braised duck and the fried oyster egg. The yam paste (orh Nee) is also good too!
Overall, the experience fragment garden was good. The dishes were excellent as recommended by others, especially the wrapped sea cucumber, yam paste and the steam halibut.
Wonderful as usual. Nice place for family meals. Not so nice ambience, but still comfortable with the aircon
The food is good and tasty. The place is air condition, very spacious on weekends and parking is convenient. The price is reasonable for a restaurant.
