Singapore’s largest convention and exhibition centre, Singapore EXPO, located appropriately down Expo Drive, is home to a surprising number of cafés and restaurants. But none of them is similar to fArt Tartz, a no-bake concept café with delicious savouries, desserts, tea and coffee. An upstart on the Singapore café scene, this open-plan café creates unique, independently concocted fusion dishes that are packed with flavour – and healthy, too. Only fresh and quality ingredients make it into the fArt Tartz kitchen and thence into the pasta in jars, jar tarts, flower potted desserts and other unique treats served up.

Singapore EXPO has miles of space to accommodate the region’s largest conferences and exhibitions. To feed the hungry masses, and casual drop-ins on days when the halls down Expo Drive aren’t full, a number of small restaurants and cafés have outposts there, but only one consistently offers up nothing but insta-worthy food creations. fArt Tartz is an open-plan café whose deli counters and glass fridges always shine with gorgeous creations from their onsite kitchen. All fArt Tartz cakes and muffins are made according to no-bake recipes that are healthy and tasty, using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients and using a mixture of Singaporean and western culinary influences.

fArt Tartz’s owners were inspired to open shop because of the love they have for their families – what better way to express affection than by whipping up, for example, an Oreo cookie mud tart, one of their trademark flower potted desserts, complete with flower? Give it a go – it’s sure to impress, and like everything else at fArt Tartz, it’s something you won’t find anywhere else. Another inventive creation is fArt Tartz’ Lychee-misu, served as one of their jar tarts with a decorative lid tied down with rustic twine. Each and every one of fArt Tartz’ creations is lovingly presented. After all, this Singapore Expo café down Expo Drive is all about love – and showing it.
