Definitely had to reserve in advance! Best to request for sitting area in the original area of the restaurant. Food was yummy and will be back for more!
abit cramp. everything else is good just the $$ is slightly high.
Food here are generally affordable here. I feel that this hawker is more suited for the local. Which means if you're a tourist in Singapore you should definitely come here for lunch.
My fav place for Chinese food, I love the grill fish so much
Food was nice but the place was abit cramp thou. Overall not bad but would need to make a reservation as it is usually quite crowded.
The restaurant is usually packed between 7-9pm, better to avoid those hours if you do not want to queue. Love the food!
Love this place for Mala grilled fish, will be back
Had to wait although we made a booking. But we have priority to those who walked in. Food was good! Will visit again :) :)
Salted vege fish tastes so good. Not forgetting the man tous too!! Good place to visit for the first time. Do remember to make reservations as the queue can get real crowded!
Love the grilled fish as usual. The medium spiciness is just right for me and my friend. 2nd visit together. Nice ambience. It is quite expensive though.
Food is good. They scraped their reward system without informing members. Could have done betterFood is good. They scraped their reward system without informing members. Could have done better
Enjoyed the food as usual! The mala grilled fish is just nice. Nice interior decor too.
good food! but can’t seem to redeem the two free dishes every time i’m there
It was an awesome dinner! We will be back for more.
The place is a bit squeezy but the food makes it worth it. The waiter was a bit inflexible in letting us in even though we told him that our friend is on the way. However, all in all, we enjoyed the food.
Enjoyed the Ma la grilled fish will come back again
The patin fish was nice and the chicken was good. Service was attentive and fast. The buah long long drink was good, but a bit expensive at $5.80 (though it was 1-for-1).
This is my favourite place for mala grilled fish. Good flavour, and right spicy ness. Not for the faint hearted though. Prepare to queue and wait during peak hours where no reservations are allowed
Service was very fast. Friendly staff and the food was great. Recommend the Snapper in Spicy Numbing flavour and the Sea Bass in Spicy Fragrant flavour.
It take some time to catch the waiter's attention, but it was because they were very busy. Food is served quite fast though, and food is nice.
food is nice and staff service is good. will be there again.
Very fresh food, staff are very nice with good memories as my sister who was seated at the corner ordered a pot of pu er tea, the staff was able to remember it and checked to see if she needed any water refill without asking
We enjoyed the food and drinks. There are spiciness levels for selection. Staff was prompt in service. Price was reasonable (we spent less than $25 per pax). We will visit again to try other dishes.
Food is good and plenty of varieties. Must do bookings else long queue
love the mala fish and the sauce that goes with it

Food was pretty tasty especially the fish which was well cooked and mala spices used was aromatic. Air con environment which makes it more comfortable.
Service was great and efficient. Price was reasonable and within expectations. Food was good, fish was fresh, though the soup base and spices were much more thicker and tastier on previous visit few months ago. Be aware that the smell would remain on your clothing and bags.
I frequent this joint for their grilled mala fish. Love the spicy fish, but be warned, for those who can’t fake spice, so go for low. I am ok with spice but even medium level is too spicy for me
Love the food here, but queue is long during meal times. Went on a Monday night and it was very crowded. Chose the medium level spicy grilled fish and it was a tad too spicy for me though
La zi ji taste not as good anymore, not sure if the chef changed. Ordered 2 servings but both did not taste like the previous visits.
really great fish and also the lotus root dish was very unique. location is great. would highly recommend if you like spicy food, definitely get the fish.
Discovered that they no longer uses charcoal and the taste seemed not so nice. Fsih was warm and took a long time to become hot.
food is consistently good and I have been a regular customer at the restaurant fo the past few years. Recommended if you want spicy food.
Good food. Best to go early or off peak hours. Service is fast though crowded. Mala flavour is their speciality.
Food quality has dropped a lot for my 2 recent visits. The soup is not as fragrant and flavourful as before. It’s quite a disappointment.
Staff was prompt to respond. Dishes were satisfactory. Even for those who couldn’t take too spicy.
The food is nice. Will definitively go again and intro to my friends
the food and services were good, strategic location just near Bugis area. I love very much their spicy fragrant golden snapper fish, French beans with minced pork n dried chili, dou miao, and Mantou. Very recommended!..
Good food good service and environment ! This was my 3rd visit here and really enjoy the food very much thus i recommended to my friends to celebrate my birthday here in March and also like it after tasting. Will be back again !
Ordered the signature spicy fish , taste good , also Fried rice was rather unique and tasty
When I was there, the table was ready and the staff were friendly. The food was served fast and taste was fantastic! I have tried both Chinatown and Bugis. Both were as good! Thumbs up!
Nice food and drink, a good place for friends gathering, will visit again.
The food was served in a swift manner and it is simply delicious! The service are also great too. Will definitely patronize again. Thank you!
Went on odd timings so there wasn't many people around.. All dishes were served pretty quickly and foods were good! Had their mushroom based fish and the soup was excellent! Will definitely go there again! Currently they have promotion of free Mala Xiang Guo for every purchase of a kaoyu (between 12-6pm).. So worth it!!
Fish was fresh and grilled to perfection. Definitely one of my regular places to go
Love the food here, fish was nice and fresh, service was ok despite the crowd! Highly reccomend the spicy grilled fish and salted egg cheese tofu
We ordered the grouper fish and the spicy chicken. Taste wise is good. Price is a little on the high side. Service is not bad.
It was really yummy and the service staff were very friendly and nice. It was abit squeezy for a group of 9 though but overall was great.
Service was good as usual but food was a little subpar this time. But the saliva chicken was nice! Would still go back again for sure.
