It was a place with nice ambience and the food served are of good quality.. The waiters listened to our request and had good services were rendered.
Great food and good service - the service staff made an effort to engage in casual conversation which I felt was nice. However we were seated near a counter where a member of the staff was constantly preparing fresh napkins - we thought this was strange and rather distracting, which is a shame.
Certain dishes like trofie with truffle pesto and prawns and scallops crudo were 'hit and miss', while the deserts and soups were pretty tasty. Decor was stylish but the way the acoustics were set up made it too noisy and distracting for a fine dining experience. A mixed bag overall.
Sorry for late review. My second visit to Aura. Overall experience was not as good as the first. Put it down to an inexperienced server, who forgot to serve bread until asked; did not replenish drinks until asked; did not inform us of wait-time for our choice of dessert etc. My steak, for which I paid a supplement, was not done correctly. Whole meal was very drawn out as a result. Otherwise, there were some good dishes and the senior staff made an effort to overcome obvious oversight of our server.
Wonderful Ambience and great service! The gentleman waiting on our table was excellent with his recommendations! A few more vegetarian options both in the appetisers and main course would be wonderful!
I ordered set lunch which comes with pumpkin soup, main dish, dessert & tea. Apparently the soup was cold when served, will be better if it is warm. Main dish & dessert are nice. Great view from the restaurant. Service not fantastic as the staff did not explain that to order fish for main dish there is an additional $12 charge on top of the $32.
One of our tajima steak was a little too rare and there were too many tendons. Other than that, the food was fantastic. But waiters didnt bother to ask us how was the dinner.
Good service but food was a let down. Wine was incredibly pricey even by Singapore standards. Restaurant area does not have a view which is a shame.
Brilliant experience. The vegetarian food was delightful. As always the service was prompt and caring. It's a lovely place to enjoy a quiet meal which fosters conversations
Food was excellent, service staff was equally excellent. The only thing I would suggest is to improve on their dessert menu. The upstairs outside area is beautiful to have pre dinner drinks although one has to make booking ahead of time
Food was great as well as service. Great place to take oversea visitors and/or just a night out to hangout with friends. would definitely revisit in near future.
Dined in on the 5th level preferred. After dinner, gone up to the 6th for desserts and drinks. Nice ambience and service is excellent. Try to pick your own wines cos their recomendations may not be your preference.
Beautiful and warm ambiance. The food was good, overpriced alcohol and the service can be improved. It lacks authenticity of an Italian place but it's hard to achieve without Italians running it.
Fantastic experience at Aura. The service was impeccable and top notch, from one of the waiters who suggested a more intimate table, to the surprise anniversary cake, to one of the staff who took our luggage we had up to Aura lounge. The pasta mains were excellent, as was the green salad with apple and truffles. The octopus unfortunately was tasteless, even though the texture was just right.
Place was kinda noisy and the food was salty too. Beverage menu was presented to us. Treatment towards local diners were not as good as those with 'ang mo' guest.
Quality of food went down significantly from my last visit, unlikely to come back. Burrata was not fresh and pasta was overcooked. Both the ingredients and the Chef manning the night were lacking.
Good food. The ambience and service was satisfactory. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to try authentic italian restaurant in Singapore. Not bad.
Food is not half bad , nice decor that lifts one's spirits , friendly & eager-to-please service , convenient location. Sky lounge a bonus to the great romantic night out. Might get a little noisy when big groups present. Otherwise, classy venue for a dinner date.
Wonderful seasonal Uni pasta, lovely appetisers. Couldn't resist the desserts too. Will come back to try their daily menu. Lovely view of the Padang to accompany after the meal.
Despite being very busy, the service was very good and attentive with good recommendations on food. Quality of food was ok though a bit rich.
Excellent food. Authentic Italian flavours. Very well presented. Professional service. Everything was very well done. They really want you to enjoy your experience. Will definitely be back.
Good ambience and suitable for business lunch. Food was good particularly seabream fish which commensurates with price paid. Both my supervisor and Client enjoyed the lunch!
Good value set lunch, waiter was very pushy with trying to upsell more expensive items. But felt like we were being kicked out of the restaurant as soon as we were finishing our meals. The waiter brought the bill to the table without us asking.
Mother's Day lunch. Average food. Salad is exciting, Pasta too sweet. Main course too over done. Desert is alright. Expensive wine. Professional service spoilt by a too chatty waiter. Friendly is acceptable but there are boundaries. Ambience too noisy.
Nice ambience and great food plus service by staff Prabu is excellent. The beef sirloin and bone marrow is yummy and the foie gras simply melts in your mouth
Nice ambiance, great food. Server did his best even though the restaurant seemed quite understaffed for the busy mother's day weekend and a wedding that was happening on the sky lounge floor.
Was a rushed mother.s day meal. Dishes served very quickly. 5 of us left within an hour- about 50mins. In our previousl visit we were given latte or cappuccino coffee choices for the brunch set. Yesterday this was not allowed.
Very attentive service - one of my guests had specific food allergies and the wait staff was very attentive to the ingredients used in the dishes and made sure with the kitchen that the dishes were safe for him. Cod fish was extremely lovely !
Service was attentive but place a tad noisy for proper conversation in a group
3 service crew stand at the side of our table almost throughout the whole dinner to fold napkins and they chat throughout. Lack of privacy and dampen the nice embience .
Fantastic service and food, reasonably priced for the location and quality, will definitely be back.
Had a wonderful time at the restaurant. Alvin attended to us and gave us a wonderful recommendation to share starters and 2 pastas (especially the uni pasta) for our group of 6 people. Each of us then chose our own main. Alvin bantered with us through the night and he made our night even more enjoyable. Food was fabulous and service was en pointe. I didn't give it 5 stars as the staff in the upstairs bar dampened our mood. The bar was empty when we arrived at 6pm. We sat down on a sofa with a wonderful view of the Padang. One of the staff finally attended to us after about 10 minutes of waiting and told us the table we were sitting at might be occupied and he would check. When I received a restaurant reservation reconfirmation call earlier in the day, I asked if I need to book a table at the bar, I was told it wasn't necessary and that I could just walk in. Despite being relatively empty, the drinks took another 10 minutes to arrive, with still no word if we could stay at our seats. Finally, when our drinks arrived and I asked if we could stay at the table, I was told that they had to make some re-arrangments, but we could stay. The attitude of the staff was rather off-putting and snotty. I would advise people to go to the bar next door if you want to have drinks before or after your dinner.
Love the ambience of the place at Aura Restaurant. The food is awesome too! Find the food kinda costly though. But I don't mind to go back again!
Hmm, it was Just really odd that a family would bring four toddlers to dinner at a place like Aura at 7pm on a Friday evening. They either miss-read the restaurant as Swenson's or it was an act of extraordinary self-entitlement and arrogance. We felt for the wait-staff who were clearly embarrassed and for the young couple on an early date who had to endure the shrieks and cries. We would love to know what on earth the toddlers found on the menu to satisfy them? Or perhaps they bought their own? The food was lovely though the beef carpaccio needed more seasoning for my taste. Sadly, we ate quickly and left for the lounge upstairs given the circus troupe and appreciated the attention of the front-of-house team to find us a table.
Very enjoyable evening, but still think it's a shame that you can't eat in the restaurant upstairs where there is a view. You could be anywhere....
Excellent food, stuff was accommodating when the ravioli ran out and came out with a beautiful risotto not on the menu.
Place and ambience was quite nice, but a little noisy. Starter and pasta was good but the main was not as what we expected- the quail was cooked medium which didn't suit my taste, and the pork chop was not hot when served. They were kind to offer dessert to compensate though but we didn't take up their offer.
Loved the ambience, staff was friendly and was prompt in service. The lunch set was value for money. Would recommend it to my friends definitely.
Service was rushed as restaurant was quite crowded. Very noisy due to the low ceiling
Booked it for lunch with my wife. Nice atmosphere, great service. Direct access from car park. Average food. Ordered the set menu, the tenderloin beef and cod were not cooked to perfection. Nevertheless, manager took the feedback sincerely and got the Chef to improve on it. Overall, a pleasant lunch occasion.
I really enjoy the service.. staff was very polite and attentive although it was a busy day. I found the set menu really worth i. The food was tasty and presentation really well done, although i wouldn't say it was outstanding.
Saw many good reviews about the restaurant. Definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit as their food is excellent, the atmosphere is condusive and the service is good...
Great food, tasty and unique. V nice place and ambience. Brunch set was pretty good value. No kids menu or kids drinks like hot chocolate but pastas are fantastic so works for kids too.
Service was good, nice ambience but food is quite passable
First time at Aura for Mother's Day. The restaurant was crowded and service was choppy. I would expect better service for this class of restaurant.
The service was good and so was the food. The waiter was able to give good recommendation. In fact, I went back a second time that week.😊
I went there for drinks. the bill look awfully long to come. view was beautiful though. will come back to try the food another time.
Good service, lovely ambience. Food was decent. Good appetizer but pasta main dishes were a little too sweet for our liking. Dessert was also alright. Nice place.
Good food n good service! Good recommendation of food by HH03 service staff. Octopus appetizer was excellent. Pasta with sea urchin was delicious. Will vist this restaurant soon again.
Nice warm ambience and lighting; but no view, and tables were close together, so conversations were easily overheard. Food and wines - very good selections ! Most of the popular Italian dishes, eg. Buratta cheese, octopus, parma ham, were on the menu and well-prepared and presented. Service was prompt and moderately attentive. Local and Italian waiters were friendly and engaged in conversation, some telling "singlish-type" jokes too !
