Nice ambience and service. Cost setting with nice decor. However the Aura sky lounge was not open as it had a private party Set lunch was good too!

Over priced food for what it was. Service staff well trained though. Sky bar staff really snooty when we turned up. Even though we had a table reservation in the restaurant we were made to feel unwelcome in the bar area pre-dinner

Brilliant ambiance for our 21st wedding anniversary celebration! Thanks to our wait staff from Ipoh (a Malaysian of Indian ethnicity), who took very good care of us during our time there! Kudos to the Operations Manager, Jody Adler - for throwing another round of 'bubbly' for us - danke again!

Lovely atmosphere, food was great and a good menu to choose from. It definitely has the feeling of going somewhere special. Service could have been more attentive though. Would go back for sure.

Service was disappointing. First and foremost, 5$3 waiting time was appalling. My friends and I waited 5 mins for a staff to take our orders. Then after our appetisers, we waited another 20mins for our mains to be served. Even for desserts, it took the restaurant another 15 mins to prepare! In my reservation, I specifically indicated under the 'special request' field that it was for a birthday celebration. But the message apparently did not get to the restaurant. And we had to verbally mention to the restaurant to include candles in our desserts ordered. Will not come back here again.

Food is so-so/average -- nothing unusual or unique. The restaurant was too noisy due to the dining crowds (a few big groups) and a complete mismatch with the ambiance.

Service was excellent. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Enjoyed the starter of octopus and dessert tiramisu, but disappointed with the pasta. Like the ambience and location at National Gallery. A little bit pricey.

Great atmosphere - quiet but alive - scenic - nice location in the National Gallery. Very friendly, attentive service. Lunch set was good, if a little narrow (on the short menu, several required an extra charge). Lunch set just manageable for a business lunch (SGD 32++); main menu prices quite elevated. Nice for a business or special occasion meal.

Service level; simply excellent. Food: excellent. The fact that you have dinner in "usual too cold aircon" (which normal for Singapore) but then afterwards go upstairs and have after dinner drinks outside with fantastic view, is amazing. Price level: semi expensive but extremely fair compared to overall experience! Finally, the relaxed and quiet surroundings during dinner are nice but still stylish and informal at the same time. Most semi / expensive restaurants in Singapore are not worth and second visit - Aura is. See you soon!

Food was good. Wines too pricey. The waiter was too keen, hasty and too disruptive to the guests. He knocked the plate onto guest's shoulder. Removed our menu before we ordered. Aircon was too strong.

Food: The food here is really tasty, we were satisfied with all our choices of appetizers, pasta and mains. Drinks: They have an extensive wine list but some bottles are upwards of $1,000. They seem to try a little too hard pushing the wine. Ambience: The restaurant was really busy, it was surprisingly loud inside which unfortunately chipped away at the elegance of the place. Not as 'fine dining' as you'd expect, but it's a chic place. Price: For the price, the portions are reasonable, food is really tasty so you do get what you pay for. Overall: Nice experience, worth a try, I'd go back for the food at a less busy time! Tip: Get a drink at the sky lounge before starting your meal at the restaurant.

Nice place with a rather casual ambience and decent service - waiters were helpful in providing recommendations. Favorites were the pasta (special - good but a bit pricey) and scallop appetizer (forgot the exact name, but the truffle taste and fresh scallops in generous portions won me over). However what I would return for is the set lunch, which was very value for money!

The ambient in Aura was great except that it was quite noisy coming from a table of maybe 12 pax chatting away loudly. Being said, everyone is out for a good time so it is somewhat acceptable. The appetisers are very tasteful and well presented. The Foie Gras with Caramelised Apple and Duck Jus are to die for! Grill Octopus with crispy egg and corn are well balanced too. Combination of lightly batter crispy egg with runny yolk with the grill octopus brings a different experience all together. Scallops Crudo with Truffle and Smoked Quail Eggs simply lovely. I am a big fan of truffle and the mixture of flavours were well constructed. Burrata Cheese with Cherry Tomatoes & Black Olives in my opinion was simple and present well. I love Burrata Cheese albeit it being a simple dish it is worth mentioning it here. There wasn't any extra virgin olive oil drizzled over it, so don't forget to request for it before indulging into it. I suppose it was done on purpose leaving the option to the customers to decide as some may not want it on their Burrata Cheese. This was my second time at Aura. I have ordered the same main course Grain-Fed Beef Sirloin Tagliata with Bone Marrow Salad in medium rare. My first experience with this dish was great. The beef was tender and just enough texture for you to enjoy the flavour as you chew into it without much effort. However, last night the beef seemed tougher and sinewy. I was having trouble trying to avoid the sinewy parts from getting stuck in between my teeth. Some effort was required to cut and chew the beef. I would say it wasn't as pleasant as my first experience. Probably it is just my unlucky day getting a piece of sinewy beef. The roasted bone marrow was roasted to perfection. As for the wine list, they do have a great selection but if you want a reasonably priced bottle of wine, it is not going to happen. It will set you back min $100 for a bottle for an average bottle of red. Their range of Chanti in my opinion were priced pretty steep. Overall it was pleasant and I would have given a 6 ratings if I had a better cut of beef.

The decor was elegant, with tables well spaced out. The soft lighting have a calming relaxing effect. Service was prompt, and water was topped up regularly. Didn't have to wait too long for our food which came together. We had the scampi pasta which was delicious albeit a tad salty. The sirloin steak was perfect and pink. The hazelnut cake was divine.

Price - quality relationship of the food is not fantastic, not a great range of side dishes which are needed with the small portions and the chef does not seem to know how to bake and cut a steak, it was cut against the veins of the meat which is not be expected by a restaurant like this.

We didn't end up eating at the restaurant. We saw the lounge and fell in love with the view and ambience so we grabbed the bar food there. The pulled pork was tender and flavourful, but we didnt really enjoy the calamari - it was kind of tasteless and limp, not crispy, and just tasted of fried batter. The truffle burger sliders were nice but found the bread a bit dense and hard.

Foie gras wasn't caramelized enough. Lamb chop was very bland ( it enough seasoning) but pork chop was tasty and done to perfection. Wines are overpriced. Service was generally good. However, when we gave improvements feedback on the lamb chops, the waiter wasn't very receptive.

We made a reservation for Thursday evening as it was our anniversary on Sunday but it was fully reserved every evening. On the same day, the staff was considerate to call back and remind me on the reservation. The service staff were friendly and attentive with our requests, added on anniversary text to our desserts. We ordered a 4-course dinner set and most dishes were nicely done, other than the scallop appetiser and sea bass with saffron sauce that could be improved with the garnish and taste.
